Behind her was a low male voice, which sounded full of vigilance.

Startled, Ye didn't hold the framed picture tight, and let it just fall onto the ground with a bang.

It simply broke to pieces all over the floor.

“Ah! I'm sorry!”

Ye quickly bent down slightly to pick them up, only to slice through her finger in a hurry, with warm blood flowing out instantly.

She clenched her hand into a fist in order to cover her wound.

“Show me.”

A cold voice came from overhead.

Ye suffered a shiver and hurriedly reached for the picture under the broken pieces.

She thought Mu Tingchen was asking her to give him the picture.

But as soon as she reached out the unwounded hand, her wrist was suddenly grasped.

“I want you to show me the injured one.”

His voice was weak, proving that his condition was really not very good.

Ye reached out her hand obediently.

Mu pressed his big hand over, and then his whole body fell to her.

“Hey! You!”

Ye was startled, but her hand touched his body and she felt her fingertips hot.

“You have a fever!”

“Hey! You get up first! Let me take you to the hospital.”

Mu opened his mouth and said something in a muffled voice.

“No.”

“But you have a fever!”

He did not answer. Instead, after resting for a while, he managed to regain some strength to stand up.

Ye lent her hand subconsciously.

Instead of rejecting it, Mu took the advantage and laid most of his weight on her.

A touch of mint smell on him seemed to surround Ye tantalizingly.

“You're not supposed to take this medicine on an empty stomach.”

She turned the bottle of medicine over and over in her hands. She could read some of the English instructions on it. This was an extremely strong medicine for stomachache. Although it could temporarily relieve the pain, it would still cause great damage to the stomach.

“You can't take this medicine very often.”

Her pink lips moved fast in front of his eyes, making his deep eyes undoubtedly focused on her.

As soon as she raised her eyes and met his eyes, her face turned red in an instant.

“Uh …” She stood up awkwardly, ready to go towards the kitchen. “How about me making something for you to eat at first?”

He simply watched her leave, with the faint smile still around the corner of his mouth and lights glimmering in his eyes.

The girl had worked an opening out on the bottom of Mu's heart, where the original coldness started melting.

He felt a little itchy, and also uncomfortable. Though repulsive mood still remained, it was now much more of a yearning which was out of his control.

In the kitchen, Ye dug quick-frozen dumplings out from the refrigerator.

While boiling water, she rubbed at her own hot cheeks.

How did this happen? Why did she blush so badly with only an eye contact?

Ye couldn't help feeling strange about it for she thought she was no longer a girl with first awakening of love.

That man … was truly so handsome that she couldn't refrain herself from looking at him, but on a second thought, she soon realized that he was not the kind of person for her.

People from Family Mu were all as cold-blooded as machines.
