Harry Potter and the Prince of Slytherin 16 Duel

Probably except for some lack of energy in the chapter.✌😁

Everyone had a good time tonight, All the students were in a great mood. After saying goodbye to everyone, Draco, Theodore and Pansy started walking outside the great hall.

"Thank you, Draco." Pansy said again.

"I said it already.."

"Don't say thank you." Pansy grinned, "I know, but I still want to say it. Today's the best day of my life."

"Having fun are you?" Suddenly a voice came behind them. They turned back to look at Harry and Ron who was behind them.

"Weasley, don't cross the line," Pansy said gnashing her teeth, she already had enough of this red-headed prick.

Harry was pulling Ron, trying to stop him but the other party wasn't listening at all.

"I don't know what games you played to get her in the team." Ron said with an ugly face, "Oh! Wait you are a Malfoy, you probably paid your way through, You can't even stay out of the spotlight for one second, can you? Today was a special day for Harry but you had to ruin it."

"Ron! Stop this." Harry said, "I don't have any problems, really!"

"Don't stop me, Harry! You know how people talk about you, its all Malfoy's fault." Ron said.

"What the hell is he talking about?" Draco whispered in Theodore's ear.

"I don't know." Theodore whispered back.

"Malfoy, I challenge you to a Wizard's duel. Wands only -- no contact. How about it?" Ron said,

Draco tilted his head wondering what was he talking about.

"What happened afraid, are you?" Ron said

Draco, Theodore, and Pansy looked at each other and started laughing,

"Did you hear what he just said?" Draco said wiping his tears.

"haha... I think he said that he wants to.. haha challenge you to a duel." Theodore said holding his stomach.

"Hahaha... This day keeps getting better and better." Pansy said.

Ron, on the other hand, was trembling with anger, "See Harry, they look down us. Will you be my second?"

Harry seeing them felt humiliated too, "Okay," He said without thinking.

"Don't act tough Malfoy," Ron said, "Don't think that I don't know what you are, You act tough and strong all the time but when the time comes, you will come running back like your father."

"Enough!" Said Draco taking out his wand and rushing towards him, as he choked Ron against the wall and his wand pushed against his neck, "I can tolerate you insulting me, but not my family."

Draco's wand started turning bright, Theodore was the first one to notice that so he quickly went and pulled Draco back causing the wand to return back to normal.

"Let me go, Theodore... I will kill him today." Draco said trying to loosen himself from Theodore's grip.

"Calm down, Do you want to end up in Azkaban? This isn't going to help you." Theodore said pulling him back.

"Yeah! Draco stop it." Pansy came in between trying to stop Draco as well.

Draco was still gritting his teeth in anger but he had calmed down significantly.

Harry was shocked by the sudden development of things and he didn't know how to react, but seeing Draco being pulled away, Harry quickly went over to Ron to help him. Ron was coughing hard, he didn't expect Draco to really attack him. Harry and Ron were trying to figure what was going on, so they didn't listen to their grumbling.

Ron stood up with the support of Harry and took out his wand. In the fit of anger, he didn't think about anything, he only wanted to beat Draco right now.

Draco grinned, "So you want a duel, Huh!! Weasley, Fine I accept your challenge."

"Who is there?" Suddenly Filch voice came.

All of them stopped whatever they were doing, Ron turned to Draco, "Harry is my second who is yours?"

"Are you blind, Weasley?" Theodore said,

"Che, Midnight, all right? We'll meet you in the trophy room; that's always unlocked." Ron said quickly running away with Harry.

"Fine." Draco said.

Then the three of them quickly went back to the Slytherin's common room.

"Sigh! Did you go crazy Draco." Theodore said, "I don't know what spell were you using but it looked powerful."

"Yeah, I know you have a short temper Draco but you need to learn to calm down, If Theodore wasn't there, you really might have killed that red-headed Weasley." Pansy said hugging Draco, "I hate that side of you. Promise me Draco, Promise me that you will try to keep your anger in check."

It was a surprise to Theodore and Pansy seeing the calm Draco lashing out so suddenly, but the most surprised of them was Draco himself. He didn't know what was going on. Yes, he was angry that Ron insulted his father but he didn't want to kill him for that.

Draco glared at his wand, 'What spell? I wasn't even chanting one... The wand suddenly started absorbing my mana itself and it made me angrier. I only wanted to threaten him but there was a voice in my head, begging me to blow Weasley's head off and kill him on the spot. Thankfully I had Theodore and Pansy with me or else I may have really done it.'

"Sigh! I am sorry." Draco said hugging Pansy back, "Today was your special day but I ruined it."

Pansy shook her head, "No, it wasn't your fault."

Draco smiled, "I promise, that I will try my hardest to not go out of control like today."

Pansy smiled and nodded,

"And if I really want to kill that Weasley, I will do it in secret."

"Well said."

Draco and Theodore, fist bumped each other grinning.

"You guys.." Pansy was speechless seeing the look on both of their faces, "Sigh! So you really plan to go tonight."

"Yeah! I and Draco have already accepted the duel." Theodore said sitting on the sofa.

"But don't you think that it could be a trap."

"I don't think Weasley's that smart, If he was, he wouldn't have challenged Draco in the first place," Theodore said.

"Yeah! and as Theodore said we have already accepted it, if we do not show up there, it will harm our reputation and pride." Draco said, "You don't want to hear people say that we ran away from Potter and Weasley, do you?"

"Sigh! Fine but I am coming with you." Pansy said.

"But.."

"No buts, I said I am coming."

"Fine, meet us here in the common room, 15 minutes before midnight," Draco said turning back.

"Where are you going?" Theodore asked

"I have work to do."

"Suitcase??"

"Yeah!" Draco nodded in return.

Inside the suitcase, Draco was trying to figure the wand out, "This Silver wand consists of more than 2 cores. But what does that even mean? It can have 4, 5 even a hundred cores, how can I figure it out. And the voices I heard today in my head, There wasn't any problem like this before. Could this be a Horcrux of some sort but then again, I don't feel any mana other than mine in this wand. Sigh! What really are you?"

He said to himself, raising the wand up. "The inscriptions, The Gryffindors sword... everything is connected to this wand. I don't know why but I can't help but have a bad feeling about this."

Draco went to an empty room and started using some spells, "The spell's power hasn't changed nor has the mana consumption. There isn't the voice inside my head too."

Draco tried a couple of more spells but nothing happened.

Draco was getting frustrated with the wand, then suddenly he heard knocking noises.

Draco went outside his suitcase.

"Duel Time." Theodore said yawning, "I am gonna kill that Weasley if he doesn't show up today, like who in their right mind fixes their duel at midnight."

Draco didn't say anything much but stretched a little,

"You look tired," Theodore said, "Are you okay?"

"I am fine, I was learning a new spell."

"To defeat Weasley?"

Draco looked at him with an annoyed expression,

"Okay, okay but will you be fine?"

"I could have a sword impaled in my ass and a dagger shoved in my throat, and I will still win against Weasley any given day."

"Too much detail." Theodore said walking out, "Let's go we don't want to keep Pansy waiting do we."

Draco nodded and started walking out, Since both Draco and Theodore stayed in the same room unlike other students, they could easily come and go without disturbing anyone.

Draco and Theodore walked out to find, Daphne and Pansy waiting for them.

"You thought you could go without me?" Daphne said looking pissed.

"Handle her." Theodore said walking out, Pansy glanced at Daphne first and she too walked out. With the current advances with Draco, Pansy wasn't insecure about her relation with Draco like before.

Draco scratched his head, "Sorry, You weren't there when Weasley challenged me so.."

"Draco, are we friends?" Daphne asked seriously.

Draco nodded, "Yes we are."

"But you keep ignoring me, why?" She asked sadly, "Is it because I don't talk to that Mud... Muggle-born nicely, that you stopped talking with me like before."

Draco looked at her and sighed. He went towards her and held her hands, "I am sorry if I made you feel that way."

Daphne stared into Draco's eyes directly, Draco also didn't back away and stared back into hers.

"Daphne, you have to understand that there are some things I like and somethings, I don't." Draco said squeezing her hands a little, "I get really annoyed at the littlest things, and even though I don't say anything if you keep doing things I don't like I will get farther and farther away from you. The same is for Theodore and Pansy, I have always been this way. I know about the whole pure-blood stuff is something that has been taught to you, me and all the other from pure-blood families, But I don't like that stuff. I can see you getting annoyed whenever Hermione shows up, you yourself distance yourself from us."

Daphne held Draco's hand tightly, as she couldn't stare into his eyes anymore and looked away, "Daphe I won't ask you to be friends with her but at least respect her as another human being, that's all I ask of you."

Draco let go of her hands and turned back, "And if you can't then we will still be friends but not as close."

Draco walked outside where Pansy and Theodore were waiting for him,

"She's not coming?" Pansy asked,

Draco shrugged his shoulders and started walking. Pansy and Theodore looked at each other and followed Draco silently.
