The shooting of the battle scenes was going on very smoothly, everyone was working very hard. Nearly everyone had endured one or another injury because it was not easy to use even the fake swords and fight with one another.
And on one such day, Xin Mei also got injured. She and Su Zixin were fighting against the soldiers, they were standing side by side. Xin Mei ducked the sword of the soldier when her foot got twisted and she fell down on the ground with a loud oomph!
"Ah," Xin Mei wailed and fell on the ground. She took her twisted foot in between her hands.
"Xin Mei." Everyone rushed towards her and looked at her with concern.
"I am alright, there is nothing to worry about." She forced a smile on her lips and tried to stand up only to feel life taking pain.
"Are you mad?" Su Zixin rebuked. "Do you think yourself to be some angel who will not get injured? Stay still."
Xin Mei pouted when she heard his yell. At the same time, director Zhang ordered mister Gong, his assistant director to call for the doctor who was all the time available on the set.
Many accidents had already happened on the set so Su Yuchen had appointed a permanent doctor on the set who would look after injury of any actor or actress.
"Director, she has twisted her ankle. There is nothing to worry about, it will get healed within two days." Director Zhang nodded his head in satisfaction when he heard the doctor.
"Xin Mei, let me call your brother. He will come to take you home." Director Zhang proposed.
"No need director." Su Zixin rejected his proposal before Xin Mei could say anything. "Her brother, Xin Yan is very busy nowadays. Let me give her a free ride, that way I will also meet her mother."
Director Zhang nodded his head. He knew Su Zixin was close to the family of Xin Mei so he did not raise any doubt.
With the help of extra's, Xin Mei was taken to the car of Su Zixin and was made sit on the front seat of the Su Zixin's car.
"Xiao Mei, how are you feeling now? Still feeling pain?" he asked with concern.
"Slight pain but there is nothing to worry about."
Su Zixin nodded his head and looked ahead at the roads. At the same moment, Xin Mei's mobile brightened with a message.
'Get well soon, love. I will wait for your return.'
She took a deep breath before sending the said message and number to Wang Wei.
As their car reached near the glory residency, Su Zixin started to feel slightly uncomfortable. He had a slight worry, how was he supposed to take her inside the mansion from his car?
She could not walk with injured feet and he would not dare to carry her in his arms. He did not want to make his brother drink some vinegar again!
Su Zixin stopped the car in front of their mansion and a sigh left from his lips when he saw Su Yuchen standing at the pathway, probably waiting for Xin Mei.
Su Yuchen was waiting for Xin Mei. He already got information from his guards that Xin Mei injured her foot when shooting. After leaving his work in mid, he had directly rushed home and from the time he arrived, he was eagerly waiting for Xin Mei.
"Chen," Xin Mei smiled brightly when Su Yuchen opened her car door, in her excitement, she stepped on the floor and next second winced in pain.
"Careful, what are you doing Mei?" Su Yuchen chided and carried her in his arms. He took her inside the house. Meanwhile, Su Zixin drove the car towards the parking.
When they entered the mansion, eyes of Xin Mei became wide when she saw a doctor already waiting for her.
"The doctor on the set is not an expert like doctor Yang. So, I have called him to check your ankle." Su Yuchen explained and placed Xin Mei on the couch.
The doctor took the left foot of Xin Mei and started to examine it. Meanwhile, the eyes of Xin Mei were widened like s saucer from the time she had heard the name doctor Yang.
Doctor Yang was the most famous and expensive orthopaedic surgeon in the country. It was believed that his hands had a magic. With one touch, he could tell about the fractures. He could heal the pain in the joints of old age people.
He was called the god of bones and had a large queue of patients and that was why he had increased his fees and now he was earning in millions. Even a single appointment fees with him was very high, then think about the money which Su Yuchen must have paid to call him home.
"You didn't need to call him for such a small injury." Xin Mei spoke in a shock filled voice and looked at the back of doctor Yang who just left after getting a cheque from Su Yuchen.
"Why? What if you have incurred some serious injury?" Su Yuchen shrugged. "Besides, if I will not spend the money to look after your injuries then on whom would I spend the money?"
"You could have given that to me." She murmured under her breath. "I could have used that money to repay a little amount to Su Zixin."
"Brother, you could have given that money to me." Su Zixin groaned.
When he entered the living room, he heard the conversation of Su Yuchen and Xin Mei. He had also seen doctor Yang leaving the mansion. So, he knew Su Yuchen had spent a large chunk on his wife.
"Brother, you don't allow me my allowance but you are wasting so much money on Xin Mei. This is not fair! I want justice." He grunted in displeasure.
Xin Mei chuckled when she heard Su Zixin. Su Yuchen also joined her in chuckling. Su Zixin looked at both with lips pulled down. He wanted justice.
He needed money. He was to buy the latest dresses from brand X for which he needed money but hash…. his last earning was theft by Xin Mei and now he was again penny less life.
Poor him!!
