Chapter 13:Pre-Death (1)

Huo Xiaoxiao’s illness was abrupt and unexpected, and no one foresaw it.

At first, it was only a little fever, and her babysitter and caretaker thought it was just because the quilt was too hot. However, the temperature gradually rose instead of falling, reaching the point where it was burning.

She was quickly sent to the hospital. When the staff checked her temperature, it was 39 degrees, and it skyrocketed within a few hours. The hospital directly released news that she was in a critical stage.

Old Master Huo nearly had a heart attack from that notice.

But he still pretended to be calm and called Huo Suicheng. He did not mention the critical illness notice, only the little fever.

“Sir, don’t worry. All the doctors here are the best in the business. Little Miss will be fine.”

Old Man Huo closed his eyes slowly. “The child had a high fever as soon as she got home. The doctors have treated her for so long…”

He remembered that five years ago, the fortune-teller had said that the Huo family’s lineage had broken off at Huo Suicheng. Was it really necessary to take the life of his only granddaughter?

“Was the fortune teller correct? Am I really not destined to have grandchildren?”

“You still believe that fortune-telling bullshit? Didn’t you hold Little Miss today? You can rest assured that it will be alright!”

The comfort of the old housekeeper did not play much of a role. Although Old Master Huo was old, he had experienced the storms and waves, and his heart was as bright as a mirror. He could tell Huo Xiaoxiao’s current situation.

But why did the little child who giggled in his arms five hours ago suddenly entered the intensive care unit?

A child who was so healthy…

Was it really God’s will?

A group of doctors and family members were in a rush, as was Huo Xiao Xiao in the intensive care unit.

I’ve seen unreliable people, but I’ve never seen anything so irresponsible!

A three-month-old child with a fever of more than 40 degrees?

Does my body temperature rise instead of falling?

She knew that the existence of A’Xiao was unscientific, but whatever she did must conform to the laws of this world, right?

An adult couldn’t stand burning like this, let alone a child!

Huo Xiaoxiao finally determined that A’Xiao must have advanced her ending.

She was on the verge of death, her every thought had a “die for me” feel.

What kind of fate changes in the villain’s life? It was just to toy with her!

However, in the eyes of outsiders, although Huo Xiaoxiao looked like she’d burst into flames within the next second, she herself felt healthy and had no physical discomfort.

Just a little hungry, but no one fed her.

One doctor after another sighed in front of Huo Xiaoxiao. It might be difficult to understand the mystery of how her body was still alive at this temperature.

“Steward Chen, I have never seen such a strong child in all my years of medical treatment,” He said in a low voice. “It’s 42 degrees now. In four hours, we have used all the cooling methods we can use. But it is useless. It’s still rising! The point is that the child is still awake!”

Steward Chen sighed. “Don’t mention 42 degrees. As long as the child is still alive, we can’t give up.”

Clocks hanging on the wall of the hospital tick-tocked, affecting the hearts of many people inside and outside the ward.

A black Maybach stopped in front of the hospital. Huo Suicheng came down from the car and strode forward.

Xiao Wu, who was waiting at the gate of the hospital, saw Huo Suicheng and rushed after him. He said anxiously, “Master Huo, you have finally arrived.”

“How is the situation?”

“Little Miss is seriously ill, and the doctor has issued a notice she is in a critical stage.”

Suddenly, the footsteps stopped.

Huo Suicheng abruptly turned around, his gaze sharp like a knife, “What did you say?”

But that was all he asked. Turning around, he walked forward at a brisk pace.

The nurses kept going in and out of the intensive care unit room. Huo Suicheng walked up beside his father with his eyebrows tightly knit.

“What’s the situation?”
