Huo Suicheng took out his cell phone, made a call, and then got up, “I will wait for you at the company tomorrow. I have work to do, so I’ll leave first.”

Today was rare beautiful weather, full of stars like the Milky Way.

It was a good place to be alone.  

At this moment, footsteps resounded in the vicinity, and Huo Suicheng looked inside. In the garden, a girl in a red dress with bare shoulders was walking barefoot on the gravel road with high heels.

She looked like someone who was not afraid of worldly affairs. She was lively and witty, shuttling among flowers and occasionally lowering her head to smell the blooming flowers.

Even in the dim light, the red dress attracted attention against the gray backdrop.

The green grass and the colorful flowers were overshadowed by her presence.

Huo Suicheng’s eyes narrowed slightly. He only felt that the red dress was amazing. Looking around, only the touch of red remained in his eyes.

He stood there, quietly watching without disturbing her.

The phone rang and broke the peace.

Huo Suicheng’s mind was filled with the palm-sized chubby child and her sweet-smelling milk.

He wanted to say if she was ill, send her to the hospital, but the words remained on the tip of his tongue, and he swallowed them for no reason. Suddenly, the scene of a child crying and making noise came to his mind.

No longer interested in staying here, he whispered, glanced at the girl in the garden, and turned away.  

The sound of opening the door rang in the garden.

Hearing the sound, the girl looked back.

The place where Huo Suicheng originally stood was empty.

She suddenly stood up and looked around the garden, but there was no one but her.
