The sound of a trumpet stopped the battle for a second before the city lord made his appearance.

The city lord took out his sword, shouting. "Half of you will protect the civilians while half of you will follow me and fight them. We are going to help the people from Joyful Union Brothel."

"Haiz, a stubborn one." Stina shook her head, disappointed. She created a pair of wings from fire, taking the most comfortable form for fighting. The fire gushed out from her body, creating a ball of flame above her head. The intense heat made the town's people escape as they could not withstand the heat. Only Martial Lords or above could withstand this kind of power.

At the same time, Sherry and Kyle made a pair of fire phoenix wings, shooting them toward the soldiers. Since they were outnumbered, it would be better if they delivered the first blow.

He looked at the other situation, counting the enemies before turning back to Jeanne. "If they finish first, no Jean for a month."

Alex ignored her and disappeared, observing the whole situation from a better place.

"Wait! Swallowing Slash." The leader struck Alex's shadow but was too late. Before she could move, Jeanne appeared in front of her, full of anger. She glared at her. "You bitch. You are going to die within a minute."

"Lightning Cannon." Seven lightning spheres appeared, hovering around her body. The spheres shone brightly, shooting seven lightning strikes simultaneously.

"!!!" She leaped back to avoid the lightning strikes, but Jeanne appeared again, slashing downwards.

"Bam!" The force from Jeanne was enough to blow toward the wall. She raised her hands, shooting another round of lightning strikes.

"Kh!" The power behind these lightning strikes was no joke. Even Alex's Flame of Extinction might lose to this attack. Alex was watching the battle between the city lord and Stina.

The barrier was opened with a wave of his hand and a scepter flew out.

Stina could only smile, thanking Alex secretly for the trust. She stretched her hand, grabbing the scepter and channeling her Spiritual Energy inside.

The energy within her body and the scepter clashed together before slowly overpowering her. She decided to take this energy inside of her, giving it a chance to lay root inside her body.

The surge of energy forced her flame to gush out of her body. She raised her hand, sending another three streams of fire.

"Multiple Sword Breaker." The city lord only snorted, breaking these three again.

Unexpectedly, when he struck at the first one, it exploded, blowing his sword away. He took out another sword and leaped back before striking at the two fire streams with great difficulty.

"Kh… What is that?" He glanced at the scepter, feeling the numbness on his hand.

Stina's flame was now a Pseudo Pure Fire. Although it was a bit inferior to a Pure Fire, she could utilize the fire essence of the ancestor, giving the same ability as Alex. And that last strike contained empowerment. Although she could not utilize a Pure Fire that could cure poison and any other else yet, this was enough to turn the situation around.

She clenched the scepter, creating another giant ball. This time, it shot a laser instead of creating five snakes.

"Fire Blast."

"City Lord!" The soldiers felt anguish when they saw the city lord took this attack for them. They bit their lips and rose from the ground, helping him in pushing this attack back.

"That's right. We should defeat all these guys together."

"Push back!" They shouted in unison, making Stina appear to be the bad guy.

"Directed it to the sky."

"Ooh!" They pushed the attack to the sky.

The scene was very moving as the city lord used and soldiers protected the civilians from other attacks.

"City Lord!"

"Ooh!"

"Let's help them and defeat these people."

Lone cultivators, who were scared earlier, slowly rose to the sky, looking at Stina with killing intent.

Unfortunately, they were too late because a man's voice echoed inside their ears. "If you are going to stand in our way, we will not spare any of you."

They turned around to see Alex and the others appearing beside Stina. The city lord opened his mouth in shock, looking at the fallen blue-haired woman.

"Luna!" He roared to the sky, holding the woman he loved. Little did he know that she had been using him all along.

Alex looked at the scene and sent a thought transmission to everyone. "This is going to be another cliche where he avenges his woman. We should go before they realize it."

They nodded and left the city. Some of them managed to react, but because they were unsure whether to fight them or not, they decided to wait for the city lord to decide.

Of course, the city lord ordered a pursuit, but Alex and the others had long gone with the Teleportation Array.
