"Yes. I am aware she is going toward this direction. Blackwade Clan has been transacting with this mysterious influence called Spirit Nest. Seeing their heir, Song Yu, coming toward this place without any guards, she must come to meet them."

A group of five were discussing Spirit Nest. The higher up had asked them to investigate this Spirit Nest but always left no clue behind. They were pretty lucky to see Song Yu coming alone to this average place.

He was almost considered a middle-aged man. If only his orange hair and beard were slightly longer, he would look older. His body was not that muscular, but his Spiritual Energy was quite powerful.

"This might be bad…" Jeanne signaled for Anna to come up.

Anna frowned upon seeing this man too, never expecting a Martial Emperor to come. This would mean the other party was serious about it.

"I am sorry. This must be my fault. I will lure them away from this place." Song Yu said after coming up together with Anna.

"Jeanne, can you beat that Martial Emperor?"

"Hmm… I think I can… but I need to use my True Spirit Body."

Not shocked by the request, Anna nodded. "Granted. I will handle the others."

"The usual plan?" Jeanne asked.

"Yeah. Greg is on his way there."

"What is the usual plan?" Song Yu asked, wondering what they were going to do.

"It's just a simple plan." Anna shrugged. "You are the guest of the house now. You can consider this as a little tip for the box. Just sit back, relax, get some snacks and wait for us in this place."

"But I am a Peak Martial King, I could deal with that Martial Emperor somehow." Song Yu looked at them, telling them she wanted to join. But, Anna simply rejected her.

"We are not that weak."

She then walked inside and said, "lure them to our usual place."

"Aye."

"You said you have spotted that Song Yu up to this place… So, where is she?" The Martial Emperor asked.

"She should be inside that shack. However, we are waiting for Senior Brother to come since we can't do anything to her." One of them said.

"We will wait for her here. She will eventually come up and we will then start investigating this area." The Martial Emperor said.

"Understood."

However, at this time, Jeanne came out of the house and leaped between the woods, creating a shadow. Because her and Song Yu's stature were not that different, the moment they saw this shadow, they were convinced that Song Yu noticed them and tried to run.

"That's…" One of them saw that blurry shadow.

"This is odd… Blackwade Clan is in the opposite direction." The Martial Emperor frowned before ordering. "You guys check that shack out. There is a possibility for that shack to be an outpost or something and the base is the way she is heading now. I will chase after her."

Those five nodded as all of them started moving.

Anna simply smiled as she left the clue about the underground tunnel, planning to wipe them out in that tunnel.

Because of Anna's rejection, she did not help and continued to wait for them, believing that Alex's friends were not that weak.

Meanwhile, those people started going down the tunnel, entering the dark cave. Upon seeing the light inside, they knew someone was inside. Sadly, they did not realize Anna was behind them.

Butterflies started appearing out of nowhere, making it look unnatural. They looked around to see what was happening, but Anna had moved right above them, smiling as she clenched her scythe.

"!!!" The movement of the scythe alarmed them, albeit it was too late.

Meanwhile,

"Who is it?" After a while, Jeanne stopped on her track and acted like she realized something, leading the Martial Emperor to reveal himself.

Surprised with what he found, he furrowed his eyebrows. "You… you are one of the Spirit Nest's members… To think you are this beautiful. With your little stature, you should be popular with the ones who have weird taste."

He said that with confidence after realizing Jeanne was only a 9-Star Martial King while he was a 1-Star Martial Emperor. "I give you two choices. Lead me to your base or I will make you a prostitute."

"Hmm… Judging from your way of speaking, I see you are from Joyful Union Sect." Jeanne glared at him.

"You should be honored to have the fancy of our sect. If you lead me to your base, our sect can formally take you under our wing."

"..." Jeanne looked at him with a weird expression. "You do realize that you are asking a little girl to join an R-18 sect, right? Want me to call the police?"

"R-18 Sect? Police?" He was clueless about this term since Jeanne just used the term from Earth. He was only a Senior Brother from the sect who stumbled upon this mission by chance and clearly was not the part of the investigation team or something. He thought there was this term for the Investigation team.

"Anyway, the answer is no and your fate is shot to death." Her expression changed as lightning started sparking around her body. "True Spirit Body, Ethereal Lightning Body."

Taking out her two short swords, Jeanne charged at him.

"!!!" The Martial Emperor was surprised by this and took out his sword, swinging it horizontally.

She ducked and waved her right hand, trying to stab his foot. Seeing this, the Martial Emperor jumped to the sky while swinging his sword down.

"Great Sword Dragon."

The energy on the sword transformed into an eastern dragon, flying toward Jeanne. As for Jeanne, she simply raised her other hand, shooting a lightning spear from her palm.

"Natural Lightning Spear."

She aimed right toward the dragon's mouth, piercing it on the sweetest spot. However, as expected from a Martial Emperor, the moment he realized his Martial Art was at a disadvantage, the soul he planted on his Martial Art immediately made his dragon explode, destroying Jeanne's lightning spear in the process.

Seeing this, Jeanne decided to make a risky move. She knew the fight might become big if she did not end it soon. She leaped toward him, using the white smoke as her cover.

The Martial Emperor was also not a pushover. He realized her movement by his Sword Domain and swung his sword as hard as possible, trying to mow her down. He was surprised to see a 9-Star Martial King had this much power, so he also needed to get serious.

The moment Jeanne revealed herself, his sword was already right on her neck.

Jeanne shifted her movement slightly, letting him graze her neck. However, she swung both of her hands, taking one of his arms.

"Gaaaaahhh!" He screamed out of pain as he shouted. "You! How dare you do this to me! Joyful Union Sect won't forgive you! I will make you a prostitute and destroy you!"

Jeanne checked her wounds, finding it was only a graze. That was pretty risky, but she needed to quickly end this fight and not leave a huge mark around the area. "I wonder what you will say later the moment you experience the greatest torture… Fufu…"

Jeanne took a deep breath before charging at him again, ignoring his rumblings. "Ethereal Lightning Body First Charge, Spark."

The lightning from her hands spread to the ground and moved faster than her. It rose from the ground, striking the Martial Emperor like a snake.

"Mountain Cleaving Sword." He brushed it off with a single swing, but this swing was what she wanted.

"Ethereal Lightning Body Second Charge, Bullet." She threw one of her swords, aiming toward the Martial Emperor's sword.

"!!!" The Martial Emperor wanted to swing his sword again. Still, because of Jeanne's Sword, he was late for a split second and Jeanne only needed that split second to stab her other sword on the right side of his heart, trying to cripple him.

"You!" He never thought that a Martial King could defeat him just like this. The loss of his arm was huge, reducing his strength and mobility by much. However, it was also true that Jeanne kept using risky moves again and again. Just like the previous attack, if her sword did not manage to stop the last swing, she might get cut by the sword.

And there was one more thing. The moment she pierced her other sword on the side of his heart, she would not have any sword again to protect her. This meant the Martial Emperor could turn his body and swing his sword as the last struggle before all energy left his body.

"!!!" Jeanne raised both of her hands and aimed at his right hand. "Lightning Spear!"

She destroyed his other arms and knocked him down. If there were a mistake on her part, she would be the one losing. Luckily, she had all the experiences she needed to prevent that from happening.

"That can't be." The Martial Emperor stared at empty air, not believing what just happened.

Jeanne smirked as she said. "Fufu… I am wondering how long you can hold on!"

"You… B*tch. How dare you raise your hands against me! Joyful Union Sect won't let you off!" He roared.

"Joyful Union this, Joyful Union that. I am sick hearing that." She snorted as she took both her swords and came closer to him.

"Aaahhh!" Her session just started.

After a while, he had lost the light in his eyes and kept saying, "Please kill me."

Jeanne then used her Second Charge, Bullet and literally shot him to death. Of course, she already got the necessary information from him. She then went back to the base after dealing with the corpse.

Anna asked, "How is it?"

"They are from Joyful Union. It seems after several failed attempts, they are starting to get real… However, they have not known our place yet as this time, they were just lucky to spot Song Yu.

"We are pretty far from cities around us, so we should be safe for a while… at least enough until Master arrives." Jeanne reported.

"I see." Anna pondered for a moment. "I will ask Anya about this. You will stay with Greg and me for a bit longer, considering I summon you here because we need to fortify our defense. After a few months, many people should have forgotten about us."

"Alright. Well, it will be a boring few months since I can't play." She sighed, resigning to her fate.

"We go back to our base first for further discussion."
