"As for women, I will pass. I have enough experience in that, so I won't be poached by women. Once is enough for me." Alex shook his head, recalling about Alicia. He had grown up from his past self, and he could not agree on how the duke made him get engaged with Alicia back then. "Yes." Alex nodded. "Just a little less than three thousand left."
"I see. This is the first time I see someone become a Gold Mage in just three months."
"This is thanks to her and the guild master. I won't get a high-level mission without her anyway." Alex pointed his finger to Lilian. "Well, not that I mind it since I can reach this level pretty quickly. At first, I thought I needed at least a year to do this." Alex shrugged.
"I see. Then take care. I will wait for both of you here and update your status cards after you finish the mission." Ruby nodded as she handed back the mission paper.
Alex and Lilian then left the guild, flying toward their destination.
Not long after they left, the guild master suddenly slammed the door open. He looked through the entire guild but did not find the ones he was searching for. He instantly appeared in front of Ruby and asked, "Where are they?"
"They?"
"I mean, Lilian and Alexander!"
"Ah. They just left for the mission two hours ago." Ruby answered. "Why are you searching for them?"
"Kh…" The guild master gritted his teeth as they suddenly heard a pleasant voice from the guild's entrance. "Ara, it seems we are late this time."
All people immediately turned their heads as they never heard of this voice. They thought they would get another new recruit, but they dropped their jaws the moment they saw the figure.
They immediately kneeled on one knee on the ground and greeted her. "Your Highness Shelka."
Shelka was coming with her maid as well as a few royal guards from the human kingdom. At first, this was an official visit, before Shelka suddenly wanted to come to this place.
"Since both of them have left, then I would need to stay for a while in this city, I guess." Shelka looked at the captain of the royal guard.
"I will pass your message to his majesty." The captain bowed and said. He was wondering why she wanted to come to this guild despite its bad reputation. It seemed that this guild had a person that caught her interest, so he would also report this to the king.
