The soldiers immediately recognized him as he had contributed so much on the battlefield. Still, they couldn't let him pass just because they knew him. Two soldiers came to the front and stopped him.
"What business do you have here?" They asked.
"I want to ask about those weapons on the wall," Leoz said casually while pointing his finger to the cylinders on the city wall.
When Leoz said that, they were surprised to see the sudden appearance of their rumored cannons. But it didn't shock them as much as Leoz's ignorance.
There should be no one who didn't know about their famous cannons. This was the most potent war weapon in their kingdom.
"Hahaha..."
"He didn't know about our cannons?"
"Is he joking?"
The soldiers were laughing at him, but Leoz didn't care about that. He was relieved that he was the one who asked them. If Alex was the one who got laughed at by them, he might have struggled to control himself.
Because of the commotion, Putri, who was the closest to the scene, approached them. She was astonished when she saw Leoz came to this camp.
"May I know what your business is?" Putri asked Leoz politely. She was aware of Leoz's contribution, and she had etched his face on her memory.
"I am just asking about those weapons on the wall, but the soldiers laughed at me," Leoz said.
Putri was taken aback to see there was someone who didn't know their kingdom. But, her reaction was different. Unlike the soldiers who laughed at Leoz, she only smiled at him and explained patiently.
"This is the most potent weapon in our kingdom, Mythical Devastation Cannon. They just came today. There is still no instruction when they will use it. So, at least be careful as they could even kill a Martial Lord like you if you are not careful."
"Alright. Since you didn't laugh at me like the others, I will give you this information. There should be around thirty thousand soldiers in the forest. They are preparing to join today's battle. Be careful about it." Leoz said casually.
Njomo had informed Alex about the arrival of the soldiers and their number to Alex yesterday night. Njomo had updated Alex about their preparation for today's battle. There should be a high chance they will ambush them today.
Putri and the other soldiers were dumbfounded when they heard Leoz.
"You, are you serious?"
"You can check it yourself." Leoz shrugged his shoulder like it was not a big deal. He then turned back and left. Alex wanted to warn them about that, but he couldn't figure out how to do it.
If he suddenly told them there were thirty thousand soldiers, then they might be suspicious to him. Njomo said that they also had sent spies, so Alex thought they must have known about them.
The only miscalculation they had was the Zhou Kingdom had made a full-scale investigation, involving hundreds of Martial Lords to search the entire forest.
With those numbers, they managed to get every spy they could spot. So, giving them this kind of information at a time like this should not be a big deal.
But it was different for Putri. She didn't know anything about that. She immediately went to the war meeting again instead of chasing Leoz. From his explanation alone, it didn't seem he was lying.

In the meeting room,
"I need to go inside." A woman's voice was heard in front of the room.
"You can't go inside."

The guard tried to stop her, but Putri managed to get in once again.
"Third Princess!" Putri was panting. Inside the room was the usual five people, including Princess Mega and Minister Morgan.
"You again?" One of Mega's aides tried to flare up the situation again, so Mega could do the good friend act.
Morgan was frowning. This was the second time Putri rushed in. He had followed her silently these two days but couldn't find her so-called 'Junior Brother.'
He started suspecting he was not real, but the soldiers also spotted them as he appeared for a day to help them on the battlefield.
"If you want to say something, you can just convey it to the guards in front. You can't keep doing this. Are you taking my kindness for granted?" Morgan snarled.
"I... There are thirty thousand soldiers inside the forest that are preparing to ambush us on the battlefield today." Putri didn't care about courtesy anymore at this point.
They were taken aback by the news. But all of them treated it like it was her other gibberish. Yeah, all of them, except Morgan. After he found those many dead bodies inside the forest, he was starting to think if she was telling the truth.
Morgan had sent his spies inside the forest. Yesterday night, one of them had come to report. He said they didn't find anyone inside the forest.
"Stop lying. You-!" One of the princess' aides immediately rebuked her. But before he could finish, Minister Morgan stopped him again.
"Stop!" Morgan glared at him and made him scared. He turned to the guards and said, "Call Julius here."
The guards immediately did as he ordered, and not long after, a man came to the room. He was covered by black clothes, leaving only his Red eyes and Black hair open.
"Check our spies in the forest. I will give you fifteen minutes." Morgan said to the man.
Although he didn't believe Putri too, he couldn't shake the feeling that she was telling the truth. Julius immediately disappeared from the room.
He had sent two groups of spies to check the forest. He indeed got a report last night. But after the spies came back to the forest, they got caught and killed by the Zhou Kingdom. If he waited for tonight's report, he could only wait forever for it.
In the meantime, he looked at Putri fiercely, "I know that this must be your Junior Brother again. Say it, where is he?"
"N-no."
"Are you very adamant about saying his whereabouts?" Morgan became angrier.
"No, the one who told me wasn't him. He was the only Martial Lord in the mercenary camp." Putri immediately corrected herself. Since she didn't know Leoz as much as she knew Alex, she exposed him pretty easily.
Morgan began to doubt the credibility of the information, thinking about jailing this girl once again. This was the second time she did this. If he did this, he had a big reason to explain it to the Makmur Family.
He continued asking her question after question. Putri tried to answer the question as much as possible. Though, she was a bit reluctant to give Alex's information as she tried to evade the question about him.
She only said about Alex's general information that all people in the Heavenly Sword Sect had known. Mega didn't come when the sect master announced Alex's status as a Special Core Disciple because she was on a mission.
Of course, she kept hearing about this Special Core Disciple's existence for a while. She thought about making a connection to him. But it turned out that person was Alex.
She forgot to ask Putri about it too since as soon as she came back to the sect, they needed to go to the Death Forest. Sadly, it was too late.
She had sent her men to kill Alex. But she didn't regret that much. Although Alex was a Special Core Disciple, it couldn't be compared to a Martial Emperor's inheritance.

All of them were startled. It turned out to be the truth. Zhou Kingdom's reinforcement had arrived.
Morgan rose from his seat as sweat covered his foreheads. "Julius, you will go to the capital city as fast as possible and tell the reinforcements to rush here."
"We have five cannons in this city at the moment. We will try to hold it as much as possible." He then turned to his comrade, the other king's aid that he sent to check on Mega. "Daniel, you go instruct the soldiers to prepare for the ambush."
"Alright. I know what to do." Daniel nodded his head. He immediately left as his purple hair was fluttering because of his speed.
Morgan then turned to Putri, "Lead me to that mercenary."
Putri nodded her head. But before they left, Morgan turned his head to Princess Mega.
"You need to control your subordinates better. Before the master even speaks, your subordinate has talked too much. What is he? A dog that loves to bark?" He glared at her.
Because of him inciting the atmosphere around, he almost acted unreasonable again. Morgan said as he planned to report it to the king after they finished this war.
(AN: heh... Serve her right.)
She was dumbfounded when she saw Morgan scolded her. Morgan indeed had the right to scold her as he was one of the oldest generation retainers that served her grandfather as well as his identity as a war minister.
But before she could react, Morgan had left with Putri. She gnashed her teeth as her face became redder because of anger. "Damn, that old man. Just wait after I become the queen."

Alex waited for a while before Leoz came back to him.
"I have asked about the weapons. They are called Mythical Devastation Cannon. According to them, they could kill a Martial Lord like me if I'm not careful. I don't know if they are boasting or not, but it is best to be careful."
Leoz immediately explained why he left just now.
After around half an hour, they suddenly got visitors.
It was Morgan and Putri. Alex didn't know anything about Morgan, though.
But, when Putri saw Alex (with a mask), she remembered the first time she met Leoz. It was also with this masked person.
Leoz immediately went in front of Alex to receive them. Leoz also didn't know about this old man, but he recognized Putri.
After seeing the old man cultivation, which was 9-Star Martial Lord, Leoz looked at them vigilantly.
"So you were the one who gave the information. Why do you have that information?" He immediately asked the question. Morgan didn't care about loose cultivators at all because there was a possibility that Leoz was a spy from the Zhou Kingdom.
