/ Gacha Sovereign 239 Preparation
Since Alex was not a local, he was confused. Alex tried to ask others about this and found out it was a bell for Monster Outbreak. Alex frowned. He thought whether to avoid this or kill those monsters to get some gacha tickets.
"Nelson, do you-"Alex immediately took out Nelson's card and asked if he knew something from his observation.
"Young Master, it should be a monster outbreak. I see many monsters coming toward the city." After hearing Alex's voice, he immediately answered. He was currently on a tree while closing one of his eyes.
Above him, a bird was flying around. In the bird's eyes, there was a trace of darkness. It was one of Nelson's skills. Nelson was a master of shadow. He first controlled the bird shadow, and then he put his will inside the shadow. With that, he managed to control the bird and can see what the bird could see.
"There is something wrong about this monster outbreak. They are well-organized. Judging from their direction, they should be coming from Alamac Town, and their number was close to ten thousand." Nelson said.
Alamac town was the town they needed to pass before reaching this town. Although it was not heavily guarded, the town itself still held two or three Martial Lord. Alex confirmed it from a distance with his Spirit Eyes. Before Alamac Town, they also passed through Skimy Town. That place was horrible. Alex could see many Martial Lord inside there.
Alex was astonished by his skill once more. He just heard about the bell, and Nelson had covered it perfectly. Alex pondered the matter inside his head, and suddenly his eyes brightened. "Well-organize?... Migration?"
Nelson's eyes also brightened. Everything suddenly clicked on his mind. "I assume Young Master is right. They should be in migration. As for a reason, I assume it must be because many powerful people are around this place. Remember that we need to go around two towns for safety.
The beast might also feel threatened by them and decided to migrate. But Martial Lord might not be too bothered by these monsters, or they might not find out about this matter. Anyway, the monsters have made their way toward the town. Seeing they are pretty organized. It might be safe to assume there is a leader among them. Young Master, what do you want to do? Should we flee from this place?"
Alex pondered a bit before he asked again. "When will the monster arrive?"
"Five hours. With these numbers, their pace is a bit slow." Nelson said.
"What is their power level?"
"Most of them are in the Foundation Stage or Master Stage. There are around two thousand Grandmaster stage monsters. But I don't see any Grandmaster stage monsters above 6-Star. So, the leader might only be a Grandmaster stage monster too. Probably, a peak Grandmaster stage. The chance for a Lord stage monster to oversee this is low."
"I see." Alex was weighing the pros and cons inside his head. The pros were obviously Gacha Ticket and EXP. He might be able to level up the two SR spirits. The cons, he might be found out by those people that he was the one they were searching for him. He also considered their misunderstanding about the old man, though.
Back when he was facing the monster outbreak, trying to kill him when he was undergoing his tribulation. He could kill them all pretty easily because of Lightning Rod Array and his lightning tribulation. Unfortunately, he didn't have any boost like that again. To fight a monster pack that is close to ten thousand. It was suicide to do it alone.
Alex needed to fight along with the people from the city. But whether the city chose to fight or not was unknown to him. Alex could only see it after some time. "Can you check whether the people from the other towns will come here to help? Especially for those people in the Martial Lord stage or above in these five hours?"
"Your will shall be done." Nelson said cooly.
Alex strolled around the city for a bit. He wanted to check whether the city will fight the monster or not. After another two hours, there were many movements inside the city. He saw a person, flying in the sky while carrying a piece of paper.
That person seemed to be a soldier. Alex couldn't see anything from him since he was covered by full body armor. Alex could see his cultivation. According to his Spirit Eyes, that person was a peak Grandmaster. That person raised the paper and announced it.
"People of Onsul Town. I am the head captain from City Lord Mansion. My name is Jack. There is a monster outbreak that is currently moving toward us. We believe their number is close to ten thousand."
When the people of Onsul Town heard that. They were taken aback. Before they started to panic, this so-called head captain shouted, "We will fight!"
When they were about to panic, they heard that shout. They suddenly quieted down and looked at the captain.
"The City Lord and the other families also choose to fight along with us." The captain said that to boost their morale. The people's eyes started brightening. To fight together with the city lord, it was an honor for the common folks.
"Unfortunately, we don't have enough people to do that. This Jack wants to ask all of you to lend your hand and join us as we kill those monsters out there. With our combined strength, the monsters wouldn't be able to do anything to us."

The common folks immediately cheered. It was easy to convince them. Alex frowned upon hearing this. 'Do they send a message to neighboring towns for help?'
It was his concern all along. Especially when they asked for the people from Alamac Town or Skimy Town. If a few high level Martial Lord came toward them, Alex might need to rethink his decision.
Alex waited for Nelson's information. He thought it was nice to have information. It could let him have the necessary information before making a decision. He wouldn't make a rash decision if he had information and a cool head.
After another two hours. Nelson finally reported it to him with full detail.
"Young Master, there won't be any reinforcement from other towns. Although I am a bit unsure about the people from Skimy Town whether they will send reinforcement or not. There is no movement in the Skimy Town. There is no messenger that comes to this city too. Judging from the situation, the town will fight alone."
Alex narrowed his eyes. He thought whether the City Lord was confident or a fool. Alex could imagine what kind of horde ten thousand monsters were. When he saw the power level inside this city, he could confidently say that their difference was too big.
Although according to Nelson's information, the Grandmaster stage monsters were only 6-Star or below. The city wouldn't be able to escape unscathed from the fight. There would be many people dead.
"Alright. Your job is to find the leader of the monster. We will fight too but from a distance. We are not going to fight with other people." Alex said.
"Understood."
Alex thought since their group was small with high prowess. They could escape anytime they wanted. Leoz was a peak 7-Star Martial Grandmaster, he should be able to level up soon. After the monster outbreak, Anna also got one level. That made her a 4-Star Martial Grandmaster. Nelson was also a 3-star Grandmaster, the same as Sherry. Alex was a 2-Star Martial Grandmaster. The only concern was Fabio. Alex hoped that he could break through into Martial Grandmaster in this battle, considering the number of monsters that soon come.
At the city gate, many people were going to evacuate. Even though many people chose to fight, there bound to be people that would escape when the situation became dire. After all, it was not easy to buy their loyalty, and many wouldn't fight to the death.
Alex chose to go out of the city. He would make a pincer attack with their small group. He was thinking it was a bit more efficient than standing in the city. Fortunately, there was a cliff three hundred meters away from the town. Alex chose that place as his base. Nelson said the monsters were coming from Alamac Town's direction. So, this place would be perfect to see the whole thing.
Alex went to the top of the cliff. He summoned Anna, Leoz, and Fabio. Of course, he didn't forget about Sherry. He won't let Sherry procrastinate.
"Young Master, we have been informed that there will be a fight soon." Anna said.
"My blood is boiling." Leoz clenched his fist and said excitedly.
"It is not like I want to-"
"You shut up." Anna immediately stopped Fabio from talking.
"Anna, isn't it a bit harsh?" Alex made a weird smile.
"Young Master, I can only stop him like this when his wife is not with him. If she came, I wouldn't be able to stop them." Frustrated, she complained.
Alex shook his head and chose to change the topic. "By the way, I am wondering what kind of place inside the system? I mean, how can you know all of that?"
"…" Anna looked at Leoz and Fabio mysteriously. She was a bit unsure about whether to explain or not. Ultimately, she sighed and answered him. "It is a kind of sleep. When we go back inside the card, we are kind to sleep while information continuously flows to our heads. The information comes like a… 'video' from your point of view. Of course, it is only a basic thing like what is happening to you and the others.
When we are summoned like this, there will be no information. We will only get the information when we are back to the card."
"I see." Alex didn't know what to say. "Anyway, let us prepare for the fight."
The cliff situated in the east of the town while Alamac Town was in the north. Alex couldn't see the monster horde but judging from the scale. This cliff might also become a battlefield. There were some trees beneath the cliff, but that's all. The town only had a big field in front of them.
It might become their advantage or their disadvantage for them. They could see clearly when the horde came. The monster also might not have the advantages of the woods, and the cultivators can use that advantage too. They could bombard them from the sky.
The land monster could fly indeed. But, normally they won't fly. A wolf might choose to take advantage of his speed on the ground rather than using his flying speed and so on. Unfortunately, for the scale of this monster outbreak, there might be many flying monsters that prevented them from doing so. The land monster might also fly or use their own way to intercept the flying cultivators.
"We will make this as a base of our operation. I will be here to watch you while killing the monster with my spear, especially for a hard to kill one or a flying one. Leoz will charge to the front. I'm sure your firepower will be enough to blast them." Alex said his plan.
"Young Master, I will go to the front too." Anna said with great determination. She didn't want to be his burden anymore in this life. If there were a fight, she would be the one who would charge in front of him.
Looking at her eyes, Alex knew that she was dead serious about it. He sighed, "All right. Sherry will also go with you. Fabio will be a special detachment. I might send you toward some spots later. So be prepared."
Fabio nodded. He didn't open his mouth, lest Anna will stop him from talking again. He pouted inside his heart and thought, 'It is not like I need my wife, alright. I just don't want to talk right now.'
Alex nodded. "I will also come to the frontline if needed. Nelson will be in charge of finding the monster leader, assuming there is a monster leader. After we find the monster leader, we are going to kill it. That way, the monster will be inorganized, and we can kill them pretty easily."
