Chapter 993: Chapter 563: Definitely Listen to the Undead God Chapter 993: Chapter 563: Definitely Listen to the Undead God Scapegoat Nagris eventually ended up carrying the blame; after all, it wasn't Ange's first day keeping tabs on him. Nevertheless, the House of the Deceased couldn't be abandoned. Such a huge platform, if managed well, could make money even while lying dormant.
When the silver coin first arrived, he was penniless and relied on the few million Soul Crystals and Demon Crystals that Ange gave. And now he dares to buy the House of the Deceased?
Uh, a few million Soul Crystals and Demon Crystals, that doesn't seem like too small an amount after all…
Whatever, its value is far less than the House of the Deceased. If he could take it over, naturally, it would be a huge profit.
Ange reluctantly stopped his work at hand and returned to the Star Burst Plane. The most difficult step was completed; the following tasks were just repetitive work that those newly awakened devotees would complete with great dedication.
It must be said that these church remnants, frozen for over three thousand years, were extraordinarily elite. They were not ordinary people but 'selected' for exile to develop Other Planes–ostensibly to spread the glory of God, but in reality, they were troublemakers cast out by the Church.
But no matter what, surviving in a desolate Plane was enough to prove their capabilities.
Now that they had awakened, the food problem that once troubled them greatly had been solved. Ange threw out a huge pile of Elf Beans for them to eat until they grew plump.
Then they discovered that as long as they prayed earnestly, they could gain the favor of God.
This was by no means an easy feat; at least, most people had never heard the voice of God before. Now their dreams were fulfilled, and for a time, everyone appeared extremely enthusiastic.
With their hard work, it wouldn't take long for the Divine Wood Continent to be thriving with fat insects and luxuriant moss.
In the Star Burst Plane, everyone returned to the underground space of the Hall of Knowledge. Silver Coin and Anthony were already there, preparing the Soul Bases.
“The Undead Fire can be connected to the House of the Deceased. We can build more Undead Fires to keep them connected to Relay Spirits night and day, sending them a mass of information to exhaust the energy of the Relay Spirits,” Anthony explained.
Nagris said, “But maintaining the Undead Fire also requires Soul Energy. With so many Soul Bases, how much Soul Energy will be consumed?”
“This I do not know, but it should be less than the Relay Spirits because we only need to send, but Relay Spirits need to send and receive,” Anthony replied.
While they were chatting, Ange had found an open space. He clapped his hands together and pulled them apart, and an Imprint immediately formed between his palms.
Craddling it with one hand, he continued to solidify Magic Mark Imprints with the other, as though he was effortlessly creating a Hand Teleportation Array. Soon, he had conjured a Magic Array light shadow with a diameter of three meters.
He slapped it down onto the ground, and the entire space lit up, imprinting a clear Magic Array on the ground.
The others, who were chatting, were startled by Ange's movements and came over to take a look. “The foundation for the Undead Fire? Why are you making such a big base for it?”
Ange said, “Too small.”
“Ouch, you think it's too small? You've made it so big, what are you going to put in it? A base this big could hold a Relay Spirit–do you have a Relay… uh, indeed you do…” Nagris didn't finish his sentence before he remembered the Relay Spirit from the Land of Fallen.
Sure enough, Ange reached in and pulled out a bright, white mass of Soul Fire, which by its aura, was clearly the very same Relay Spirit from before.
“When did you hide it?” Nagris muttered.
Ange ignored him and placed the Relay Spirit on the base. He continued to pull out more Soul Fire.
Wait, something wasn't right. It was not just Soul Fire but Soul Hearts that were coming out, except they were Blank Soul Hearts without consciousness.
“Why do you have so many blanks Soul Hearts?” Nagris asked in surprise.
Soul Fire and Soul Hearts are of different levels. An Undead possessing Soul Fire is considered a higher-order Undead, at least at the level of a Golden Skeleton.
Undead creatures of this level already possess wisdom and are not comparable to the Skeleton Zombies that can be spawned with a mere flicker of Soul Fire.
It is easy to incubate a blank 'fire' of the soul, but cultivating a blank 'heart' of the soul is much more difficult.
Ange did not answer but simply pulled out a sphere and threw it to it.
“Eh, isn't this a Soul Sphere? Where did you get it?” Durken came over and asked.
Nagris glanced at it a few times and finally remembered what it was, turning his head to reply, “I got it from your grave.”
Durken rolled his eyes at him, “If you don't want to say it, then don't, what's with bringing up my grave?”
“Uh, it really is from your grave, remember the night watchman who stole Luna's Heart of the Holy Spirit box and ran away? It exploded out of him.”
“I guess he stole it from your grave. Is this what you call a Soul Sphere? After Ange found it, he tossed it into a bucket of Liquid of Rest,” Nagris said.
When a Soul Sphere is soaked in the Liquid of Rest, it will cultivate Soul Fire, but this function isn't of much use. Ange can condense Soul Fire out of nothing and it naturally comes with Soul Contact; he doesn't need a Soul Sphere at all.
So after leaving it there for a while, Nagris had also forgotten about it. If Ange hadn't pulled it out, he wouldn't have remembered it.
But although he forgot, Ange did not. This Dead Skull definitely used a comparative method, fully exploiting the function of the Soul Sphere to cultivate the Soul Heart.
That is to say, Ange directly cultivated a high-level Undead creature with intelligence.
The number of high-level Undead creatures in the Undead Empire is too scarce. Out of billions of Skeleton Zombies, there may only be a few thousand high-level intelligent Undead, even if they are split in half, they couldn't manage so many Undead.
If the Undead Empire could mass-produce high-level Undead creatures, then why would the Sorcerers Alliance have the chance to show off?
Durken took a look and immediately recognized his secret runes; indeed, it had been stolen from his grave.
“A Soul Sphere can cultivate a Soul Heart? How come I didn't know that?” Durken said in confusion.
“Uh, you can't produce a Soul Heart either? Wasn't it your invention? You don't use your own invention as well as Ange does?” Nagris sneered.
Durken curled his lip, “Your original body isn't used as well by adults either, what's so strange about that?”
Nagris choked on his breath, unable to vent, because what was said was true; he did not use the Bronze Book as well as Ange did.
In Ange's hands, the Bronze Book is a Divine Artifact that seals all things; in its hands, it is, at most, a shelter for Heroic Spirits, a container for Blank God Statues.
Suffering an internal injury from Durken's remark, Nagris deeply missed the days before he had Lightning, Kvada, why did everyone learn to strike like Lightning, so adept at making sharp retorts.
While they were bickering back and forth, Ange had already placed the Soul Hearts onto the Soul Base, with a large one surrounded by several dozen smaller bases in a circle.
Anthony and the silver coins also came over. Although they had prepared these things, it was clear Ange did not want to follow their ideas; with such matters they would definitely listen to the Undead God.
Having prepared everything, Ange stood up straight, raised his hands, and conjured both the Equal Cross and the Ring of Balance.
Streams of despair, agony, ferocity, and famine erupted from the Ring of Balance, turning into pure white Wraiths that surged toward the Relay Spirit.
Anthony was visibly shaken and cried out, “Spirits of Sinful Thoughts?!”
