Chapter 977: Chapter 547: Is There No Limit to Transformation? Chapter 977: Chapter 547: Is There No Limit to Transformation? A shadow flickered, and the Strange Huge Dragon immediately felt its swatted claw hit something massive, the powerful force nearly breaking its claw as its entire body slid backwards.
On closer inspection, the one who repelled it was actually the cloaked humanoid next to the pearl thief. Among this group, apart from the pearl thief himself, only the cloaked figure was inscrutable.
But… but… wasn't this too absurd? The figure was so small, not even as large as its own claw, so why did it feel like it had struck a Giant Beast?
“Who are you!?” the Strange Huge Dragon roared sharply.
Feiti in the cloak paused for a moment, “Didn't I say already? Dragon God Envoy.”
“You are not emissaries of the Dragon God, you are here to steal the Dragon Ball. Return the Dragon Ball now, Diyali, call for help,” the Strange Huge Dragon bellowed furiously.
Diyali froze on the spot, desperately making eye signs at the Strange Huge Dragon.
Following her gaze downward, the Strange Huge Dragon saw Anthony smiling, his body radiant with divine light as he murmured, “The Lord says, do not move, move and you will die.”
The Strange Huge Dragon's face scrunched up, “Church of Light? Holy Word Technique? How is that possible?”
It knew Anthony's tactics well, but precisely because it recognized them, it found it difficult to believe. How could the Holy Word Technique be so powerful that it could restrain a Giant Dragon? It was well aware of Diyali's strength.
Anthony smiled, “It's not the Holy Word Technique. It's a bit more advanced than that, just a prophecy.”
The Strange Huge Dragon's face went blank. A prophecy? Prophecy Technique? Why are the Church of Light, the Undead, and the Holy Spirit Angels mixed together?
While speaking, Anthony relaxed his hold on Diyali and said with a smile, “Actually, you don't need to be nervous. The Dragon Ball belongs to the Dragon God, it's simply returning to its rightful owner now.”
“You are not the Dragon God. I suspect you are in collusion with the Sorcerer Alliance, pretending to repel the Sorcerer Alliance to gain our trust and then sneaking in to steal the Dragon Ball. Return the Dragon Ball now, or I will not be polite,” the Strange Huge Dragon shouted sharply, its scale-less skin suddenly sprouting large patches of sharp dragon scales, numerous scales trying to grow out.
Anthony was momentarily stunned, exclaiming, “Your imagination is quite rich.”
Just then, the cave erupted with a thunderous rumbling as a group of Giant Dragons rushed in. Although Diyali couldn't call for help, the noise here had alerted the dragons outside.
Seeing the stand-off, some dragons were confused. Why are the Dragon God Envoy and the Clan Leader fighting each other?
Noticing their numerical advantage, the Strange Huge Dragon immediately felt more confident. Its body was quickly covered in scales again, but these scales were multicolored, making it look like a rainbow-colored Giant Dragon.
“Return the Dragon Ball, or we will tear you to shreds!” the Strange Huge Dragon roared. The Dragon Ball was their Dragon Clan's most precious treasure, and the strange changes on its body also required the Dragon Ball to alleviate, otherwise, it would have died long ago. It absolutely could not let the Dragon Ball be taken away.
The other Giant Dragons, having just arrived, were still unclear on the situation. What was happening? Was the Dragon God Envoy going to take away the Dragon Ball?
Although somewhat reluctant to part with it, it seemed to make sense. After all, wasn't the Dragon Ball originally the property of the Dragon God? Wouldn't it be normal for him to take it back?
Seeing his clansmen look bewildered, the Strange Huge Dragon shouted, “They are not the Dragon God Envoy, you fools! You dare to let anyone in without even seeing the Dragon God, you bunch of idiots. Quickly surround them, don't let them escape.”
The Giant Dragons exchanged glances, having personally felt the daunting aura, even though they had not seen the Dragon God. But their lineage clearly told them that it was the presence of the Dragon God. Could someone possessing such presence be fake?
With some hesitation, the Giant Dragons still came closer.
It was at this moment that Ange, who had been holding the Dragon Ball, suddenly moved, his aura undergoing a great change, layers of scales surging up, a terrifying aura rooted in Giant Dragon lineage and coming from the ancient times spreading out.
The Strange Huge Dragon felt its legs go weak, “Dragon… Dragon God… Divine…”
If anything could cause a physiological loss of control in the Giant Dragons, it was only the Dragon God, and to a lesser extent, the Serpent of Misfortune.
The Strange Huge Dragon only felt a bit weak in the legs, whereas the other dragons had already knelt down.
Ange paid no attention to them, as his entire mind was captivated by the Dragon Ball. From the moment he touched it, vast amounts of information continuously poured into Ange's mind, accompanied by a mysterious power.
Ange instantly knew what the Dragon Ball was for, what powers it possessed, and how to use that power–it was more effective than any instruction manual.
That power filled his body, urging him to once again transform into the Dragon God.
As each scale appeared, Ange felt the power becoming more responsive, and when he had fully transformed into the Dragon God, the power became as easy to command as moving his own limbs, flowing with his thoughts.
Ange's focus returned to the Dragon Ball, and the power immediately followed his focus to the ball, which quickly melted into a liquid and flowed toward Ange's arm.
“My… my dragon…” the Strange Huge Dragon said subconsciously, but as soon as it spoke, it realized its mistake, the voice quickly weakened, it was not its Dragon Ball, but the Dragon God's Dragon Ball.
The terrifying aura rooted in its blood made it dare not doubt Ange's identity any longer, making it lose confidence in claiming ownership of the Dragon Ball, after all, even they, the dragons, belonged to the Dragon God, let alone the Dragon Ball that originally belonged to him.
The melted Dragon Ball flowed onto Ange's body, and Ange could distinctly feel the liquid penetrating his body, covering his scales, bones, and flesh, before finally solidifying.
“You… you've grown a tail,” Negris said in shock.
Ange, coming to his senses, did feel something odd at his rear, and turning his head, he indeed saw a tail, a dragon tail dragging on the ground, which curled up at a mere thought.
Not only had he grown a tail, but he had also grown taller. His dragon form wasn't as tall before; now he was nearly three meters tall, and his form was more fearsome, with sharp spikes growing on his arms, elbows, shoulders, and head, the gentlest movement creating a buzzing sound as they tore through the air.
“Hiss… High-frequency Thrust, this…” Durken clicked his tongue, quickly stepping back two paces, knowing that a stab from such spikes, even with his Iron Skin, would puncture a hole.
Ange looked left and right, moving his hands and feet, quickly adapting to his new form. Then, he lifted his tail and vigorously smacked it on the ground, propelling his body forward in a swift motion right in front of the Strange Huge Dragon.
The Strange Huge Dragon instinctively wanted to move, but a vertical slit in Ange's pupils and an overpowering aura enveloped it, making it freeze instantly.
Slowly, Ange extended his palm, a drop of blood seeping out, which he then pressed onto the forehead of the Strange Huge Dragon.
The Strange Huge Dragon remained frozen, completely immobilized, until the blood seeped into its forehead, which then made it feel an endless drowsiness, and it blacked out.
“Are you helping it evolve?” Negris asked eagerly as Ange stepped back.
Ange nodded his head, “Equivalent exchange.” Having taken the Dragon Ball, he naturally had to give something of equal value in return, which was Ange's habit.
“What's its story? Why does it need to evolve? Isn't it already a complete dragon?” Negris asked puzzledly.
Ange said, “Dragon Ball, let it, evolve, incomplete.”
Negris understood, “Are you saying it was evolving because it was always in contact with the Dragon Ball, but the evolution was incomplete, and you helped it complete?”
Ange nodded again.
“But, can a Red Dragon still evolve? After evolving, what kind of dragon will it become? An Upper-Level Dragon? Or an Ancient Dragon?” Negris asked, puzzled.
Ange shook his head blankly, he didn't know either.
“Never mind, we'll know when it has finished evolving. You've been in this form for quite a while now, do you no longer have a time limit on your transformation into the Dragon God?”
