Chapter 1424: Chapter 985: Black Crystal Ore? Vein?
Ange was somewhat bewildered: “No money needed.”
The silk was raised by Ange, the magic patterns were drawn by Ange, and even the scroll's spindles were carved from the branches of the World Tree, no money needed.
Negris coughed up blood, how had this Dead Skull gotten so tough? It truly didn't cost anything, but all the materials, if sold in the market, would fetch sky-high prices.
As Ange's scroll erupted with white light, the luminescence of the six Black Shark airships dimmed, and the arrays inside the cabin let out a puff of black smoke all at once. The Black Shark Pirates were dumbfounded: “It broke so quickly? Hurry, hurry, jump aboard, don't let them all escape.”
“Our space lock can withstand thirty teleportations, we should be able to keep at least thirty, it's not a loss, everyone charge.”
The Black Shark Pirates each grabbed a strange object resembling a shield and charged into the void, slamming it towards the airships' protective masks.
Magic masks were a form of energy, physical objects either smashed through or were repelled upon impact, but the shields the pirates were using could stick to the mask, trembling violently.
The surface of the shields heated up rapidly, seemingly enduring extreme friction, and just before the shields melted, the mask popped open with a hole, allowing the Black Shark Pirates to squeeze in.
Negris said in amazement: “Huh, what a clever way to breach. The magic mask was shattered by the shock; can they breathe in the void too? Could they know the Dragon Clan Breathing Technique?”
The Dragon Clan Breathing Technique allowed beings of the plane to breathe in the void, a wondrous magic that could temporarily alter breathing structures of beings, allowing air to linger in the lungs, circulating through lightning and the water element, a mixed Dragon Language Magic of lightning and water.
Seeing them still chatting idly, Fulco weakly said: “They've broken in, should we… shouldn't we run?”
“Run? What's there to run for? All your customers are aboard the airship, and you actually want to run? Don't you have any professional ethics?” Negris raged.
Fulco replied with a bitter smile: “But you need to be alive to have ethics, we can't fight against the Black Shark Pirates.”
“Do you mean you can't win even if you invoke the Divine Soul Descent?” asked Negris, surprised.
Fulco shook his head: “I'm not strong enough to wield the power of the Divine Soul, and moreover, they are more professional at the business of cutting people down, we can't win.”
In his heart, Fulco added: Even wielding the power of the Divine Soul, we can't win.
He was well aware of the God of Business's strength. A newly born deity, even if it were their true form engaging in battle, didn't amount to much in this world–when Orgal told them to register, they all obediently complied.
Anthony said with a smile: “I'll teach you a method. Rush out and shout this incantation, and a mighty ally will come to your aid.” After whispering a few words in Fulco's ear and not waiting for his refusal, Anthony directly picked him up and carried him out.
Fulco's Divine Soul Descent was interrupted, but even with the Divine Soul of the silver coin, he couldn't struggle against Anthony. Anthony was a combination of Divine Soul and Divine Body, already 70 to 80 percent a True God–not to mention an incarnation of the Little Ghost, a projection of the God of Light. Fulco in his hands was like a little chick.
Kicked out onto the deck, with no other choice, Fulco turned to the intruding pirates and shouted: “Void God Dragon, guardian of commerce, come forth Ogli, eradicate the pirates!”
The pirates who burst in were assembling, fighting with the guards brought by the guests. When they heard Fulco shouting at the top of his lungs, both the pirate guards and the guests were bewildered–Void God Dragon? What the hell?
What's mainly confusing is the name “Void God Dragon”. If it's a White Dragon, just say White Dragon, why the Void God Dragon? But Anthony felt that White Dragon lacked style, so he changed it.
One second, two seconds, three seconds, Fulco's palms were sweating nervously, he forced a sheepish smile, and wanted to turn around to see if the guy who kicked him out was actually sending him to his death.
It was at this moment, two clear dragon roars emanated from the depths of the void, and two white figures dashed out, each pouncing towards an airship of the Black Shark Pirates.
To generate sound in the void isn't simply sound but energy waves. Those capable of emitting energy waves that travel through the void are by no means simple. The pirates' complexions changed abruptly, whereas the morale of the guests and guards soared.
What followed was an almost one-sided massacre. Ogli and its mate pounced onto the pirate's airships, easily smashing these small craft. After ravaging all the airships, they leisurely picked up the surviving pirates and threw them onto the airships of the Commerce Guild.
Fighting against such White Dragons in the void, with the Power of Chaos, is simply a death wish–they couldn't even fight back.
Someone recognized Oleg: “Aren't those the White Dragons from the Land of Shattering? How did they become Void God Dragons? Has the Business Federation tamed them?”
“No way, those White Dragons don't even listen to the words of the Dragon Clan, how could they be tamed by the Business Federation? Maybe they were bought off or it's a collaboration? But regardless of the type, this is impressive. Is the Business Federation really this powerful?”
“Recently, in the past six months, the Business Federation has indeed been imposing. I heard their God was born and even successfully registered. Now they are licensed Gods and won't be slaughtered by that lunatic. With White Dragons guarding the trade routes, it should be safe to cooperate with them, right?”
“I was hesitant too, they have several exclusive products that are very attractive, but I was afraid they couldn't defend them. Now, however, it seems they're quite capable.”
Fulco overheard the whispering around him. He immediately understood why Anthony had kicked him out to shout; it was to attract clients.
By the God of Business, Lord Anthony was really powerful. He had worked so hard organizing so many activities, hosting everyone from far away, just to build relationships and secure those clients.
But now it seemed like his long hosting efforts might not have been as effective as simply having those two White Dragons show their power. What does Lord Anthony actually do?
When their location was suddenly attacked by pirates, the nearby airships that had come to sightsee naturally scattered in panic, with most of them heading back. The appearance of the Black Shark Pirate Group made them realize the void wasn't a safe place.
However, some airships continued towards the direction of the Boundless Space Hole. Could it be that for the people on these airships, the Light Point Fortress was more important than their own safety?
“Of course, I know of so many fanatical groups, like the Doomsday Blessing Sect, the Void Origin Sect, the Mysterious Power Sect, the Divine Light Origin Sect, and the Life Origin Sect, to name a few. Ever since I organized this event, I've been receiving applications every day from those who want to join. The number of people trying to sneak in is countless; they're all crazy,” Fulco complained uncontrollably.
He wasn't as fanatical as those lunatics. Although the danger was now alleviated, he had no intention of continuing the itinerary. Who knew if there would be any danger further on, what if other pirates were also targeting them?
“Alright then, be careful. We'll hand over the pirates to you for transport back for the reward once we're done interrogating them,” Negris said.
No sooner had he finished speaking than Anthony turned around and smiled: “I guess not, I've just finished the interrogation, and it seems they know where there's a Black Crystal Vein.”
“Black Crystal? A vein?” Negris's spirit perked up, and even Ange couldn't help but look up.
