Chapter 1396: Chapter 957: All are Good Spellcasting Materials Chapter 1396: Chapter 957: All are Good Spellcasting Materials In the Void, a brand-new airship slowly moved forward. Inside the airship's shield, Nagri craned his neck to look ahead, muttering, “Going with others? Wishful thinking, the Giant Dragons are all ours. Finally, there's news of a Giant Dragon and you want to go with others? That would just hinder me from plucking Dragon Scales.”
Ange had the ability to cultivate a dragon's body, but lacked the materials; he didn't even have a single Dragon Scale. Not only could Nagri's body not be cultivated, even Yixianni's couldn't.
Yixianni said she might, possibly, maybe be able to find her own grave, could dig up some bits from the grave, and thus had something to look forward to. Nagri, however, was truly at a loss. The bits from Yixianni's grave belonged to a mother dragon. It wouldn't be right to cast it onto a mother dragon, would it? That would be odd.
Now that there was finally news of a Giant Dragon, they should hurry and find a male to pluck some Dragon Scales from, and if possible, curry some favor–afterward, they would be under the protection of the Dragon God.
But soon they reached an area with floating shards of ice, where a huge White Dragon lay on a massive iceberg. When Ange saw it from a distance, he immediately gestured for a stop.
Monarch also saw the White Dragon then, and his tone grew heavy, “Why does this dragon have the power of Time? Why is it white? Are there white Giant Dragons?”
Ange shook his head. He knew best if there were white Giant Dragons. The Dragon God had never cultivated white Giant Dragons; the closest was the Silver Dragon. But why did it possess the Origin Power, the power of the Dragon God?
“What do you mean? It isn't from the same species as me? Just looks similar?” asked Nagri.
Ange shook his head. Having the Divine Power, it must be related to the Dragon Clan, but why was the dragon white? Albinism?
“Albinism, my foot, what do we do? Old Immortal, can you defeat it?” Nagri asked.
Monarch hesitated and said, “I guess I could defeat it, but I might accidentally kill it with too much force, and you wouldn't want your kind to be killed, right?”
“Then forget it. I just wanted to pluck one scale,” Nagri quickly refused. For a single scale, killing a fellow species? Insane! And…
“And not just one dragon, I probably couldn't handle two either. Why do dragons here also possess Origin Power? Without the Dragon God's power, even Locke could beat you,” Monarch said with frustration, unable to chop at will, very unsatisfying.
As Monarch spoke, another White Dragon emerged from the iceberg, affectionately nuzzled the head of the first White Dragon, then quickly another young White Dragon squeezed out from between the two, affectionately rubbing against its parents' faces and cooing.
Seeing this Juvenile Dragon, Ange tilted his head.
“A happy family of three, forget it, let's go. Grab some ice blocks on the way back, don't disturb them,” Nagri said.
“Uh, Lord, may I try?” Silver Coin raised his hand to ask.
“How would you try?” Nagri asked, puzzled.
Silver Coin said, “Handling an adult dragon might be tricky, but with a family of three, there are more points of entry. Does the Juvenile Dragon want a toy? A storybook? Or maybe milk powder and dried meat snacks? Lord Nage, when you were raising a Juvenile Dragon, what did you buy?”
Nagri was momentarily stunned and chuckled awkwardly, “This… that… what to buy? Let me think.”
Monarch bluntly spoke, “What's there to think? You've never raised a Juvenile Dragon, you haven't even ridden a mother dragon, yet you're thinking of raising one.”
Lord Negris blushed and clamored, “Who says I've never raised a Juvenile Dragon? White Neck was raised by me.”
Silver Coin pointed out, “Actually, not really. White Neck's food was bought by me, Lisa arranged for his baths, he built his own nest, and Little Angel taught him the rules. It seems like you have nothing to do with it… I know what a Juvenile Dragon needs, I'll go prepare.”
“Aren't you afraid of getting snatched by the White Dragon as soon as you approach?”
“Doing business always involves risks, but this body is too expensive, I'll switch to a plant-based structure.” Silver Coin too felt the risk was significant and switched to a more cost-effective plant-based structure.
Ange just needs to imprint a Soul Brand onto the Black Crystal of the plant-based structure, summon a Soul Fire, and establish a connection between the Silver Coin and the Soul Fire, and that should suffice.
The White Dragon Ogli family was enjoying family bliss when suddenly, something slowly floated through the Void. They initially thought it was just some debris, but as the scent drifted over, the family perked up.
“Jerky, Dad, it's jerky!” the Juvenile Dragon excitedly shouted, flailing about trying to dash forward, but Ogli held him back. His eyes narrowing as he glared at the jerky, the big cluster of it instantly stopped moving.
However, Ogli didn't go to get it and instead arose, displaying his magnificent body, looking around. Sensing Ogli's display of might, the mother dragon hurriedly carried the Juvenile Dragon away, preventing disturbance.
A big cluster of seasoned delicious jerky wouldn't just appear out of nowhere. What's this about? Do these humans think of one as a dumb beast, planning to poison the jerky?
Soon after, from the direction of the drifting jerky, a plant-based structure slowly floated over. From afar, it began waving and shouting, “Lord Dragon, Lord Dragon, hello, I am a Goblin Merchant, may I visit you? I am in a plant-based structure, with no battle power, and I hope you will allow my visit.”
Had a Goblin suddenly approached and talked like this, Ogli would have already blasted it with Dragon Breath. What right does it have to visit him? But first with a hefty chunk of jerky to pave the way, and then using a plant-based structure showed true sincerity, Ogli hesitated and didn't say anything.
No reply meant consent. Silver Coin floated onto the jerky, clutching it and dragging it across the ice. This big chunk of jerky was all the stock on the Airship, weighing almost a ton, pulling it proved quite strenuous for Silver Coin, further proving he had no combat power.
Ogli gave it some thought and glared at the jerky. Silver Coin immediately felt an invisible force acting on the jerky, dragging him along towards Ogli's face.
Pensively blinking, Silver Coin realized that just a glare could move objects, showcasing the strong spiritual power of the White Dragon.
Once on the ground, Silver Coin enthusiastically said, “I'm delighted to visit you, Lord Dragon. I hope you don't mind these modest gifts. This is the seasoned jerky for you, this 'Brave Dragon Fights Evildoers' chess set for the little Dragon, and this Wing Tip Scale Cleaning and Polishing Set for the Lady Dragon.”
“Fit the brush onto the wing tips to clean little creatures like beetles between the scales, then this scraper removes the scum on the surface of the scales, this blade trims uneven keratin on the scales, and this steel razor can polish the dragon scales.”
Silver Coin pulled out from the Storage Space a kit that was completely disproportionate to his body size. Before he could demonstrate further, the mother dragon behind already took a deep breath, her eyes sparkling.
Ogli also couldn't help but take a deep breath. Did this merchant tailor-make a whole set of tools for the Giant Dragon? Why did it feel so suitable for him? Let alone the mother dragon, he himself was tempted to use the brush to sweep off the beetles on himself. This merchant really understood dragons.
Feeling the intense gaze of the mother dragon behind him, Ogli could only ask in a deep voice, “What do you want?”
“Nothing specific, these are just gifts. If you feel awkward, you can just give me the scraped-off Dragon Scum, beetles, and keratin scales. They are excellent materials for casting spells.”
