Chapter 1333: Chapter 894: So You Belong to Lord Little Bone Now Chapter 1333: Chapter 894: So You Belong to Lord Little Bone Now Lord Durken asked, “Do you only have one silver coin?”
Silver Ingot's spirit trembled, “I… I… I only have one silver coin left, the other one was stolen… robbed. My ancestor passed down two silver coins, are they both required here?”
Lord Durken spread his hands, “Without the second silver coin, you won't be able to activate the Holy Armor.”
“Without activating the Holy Armor, can I go back and take the treasures of the first palace?” Silver Ingot asked hesitantly.
Lord Durken shook his head, “Of course not, the Holy Armor is the key to unlocking the treasure vault.”
Silver Ingot was flabbergasted and wished he could dig up his good-for-nothing father right away and give him a beating. He had hesitated earlier when he said it was stolen because it hadn't been robbed at all; it was lost by his father in a bet.
Just then, Little Bone walked in, took out its own coin, and placed it into the indentation on the chest of the Holy Armor.
It had indeed been unable to move on the farm just now, but once it seriously observed the surroundings, it easily saw through the illusion and came to its senses. However, it meticulously observed again, committing to memory the planting techniques shown by the illusion, before coming here.
Silver Ingot watched in astonishment as it held the coin, “How do you have such a coin?”
Little Bone said, “Coin, given.”
Then it turned to Lord Durken's apparition and said, “Lord Durken.”
Silver Ingot was even more shocked, “You can speak? You…”
He was about to ask how Little Bone knew Lord Durken, but Lord Durken's apparition hastily waved his hands, “No, no, no, Little Bone, I am not Lord Durken. I am but a Shay, transformed into this appearance by Lord Silver Coin's will, with Lord Durken's consent, for he designed this place.”
Little Bone tilted its head, somewhat confused, but it grasped the main point; this was not Durken, but a Shay.
Just as it was about to say something, the Armor Angel suddenly became animated and walked toward Little Bone.
Little Bone didn't know what was happening and stepped back twice, but the Armor Angel kept approaching, forcing Little Bone to put out a hand to block.
Then, the Armor Angel transformed into a holy light that flowed up Little Bone's arm and finally settled on Little Bone's body, armoring it into a tall and formidable armored knight.
“My… my Holy Armor, don't steal my Holy Armor,” Silver Ingot blurted out anxiously, not knowing what to say. This was the key to his ancestor's treasure vault; how could it end up on a skeleton?
Lord Durken's apparition said, “This is not your Holy Armor. Little Bone holds a Dragon Pattern Steel Core Coin, with a much higher priority than your silver coin. Now, the Holy Armor belongs to Little Bone, and so do you.”
“Ah?” Silver Ingot was dumbfounded.
Lord Durken's apparition continued, “Let's put it this way, your coin was left by Lord Silver Coin for his descendants. Little Bone's coin was custom-made for a colleague. Little Bone and Lord Silver Coin are peers.”
“Pfft–” Silver Ingot spat blood out. The summoner he happened to hire on the road was actually on par with his own ancestor?
Summoner? No, this skeleton can speak, could 'Little Bone' not refer to that unseen summoner, but to this skeleton right here?
Little Bone looked at the armor on its body with distress, wondering how it suddenly ended up wearing it and how to take it off.
After trying unsuccessfully to unclasp it a few times, Little Bone felt uncomfortable wearing something on its body, as it meant the sun could no longer shine on its bones.
Just as I was about to ask Lord Durken's illusion a question, I raised my head to find that the illusion of Lord Durken was disappearing, along with the palace around us. Aside from the armor on my body, everything else had vanished.
Shay stood dumbfounded, looking at the scene before him, his expression complex as he glanced at the Holy Armor on Little Bone, and finally, he had to sigh and accept the fact.
He could tell that Little Bone was resisting the Holy Armor; it backed away and even pushed it with its hands when the armor approached it.
One could only say that it was the arrangement of the ancestors, the plan of the God of Fraudsters.
Forget it, if the Holy Armor is gone, so be it. Aren't there still palace treasures, palace beauties, palace…
Shay turned his head to look behind him, and saw nothing but spotlessly clean ground. Where was the palace treasure he had thought was there? Only far away were two guards, who had lost their souls and were searching the ground in despair, “Where are my Gold Coins? Where are my Demon Crystals? How come they're gone? How come they're gone?”
It had merely been an illusion all along. Even if they dug up the ground, they couldn't possibly unearth any treasure; they could only stay where they were and weep bitterly.
Little Bone returned to the original spot where the Magic Array had been activated and dug out the Shay egg.
The illusion of Lord Durken had been a manifestation from this Shay egg. Little Bone still wanted to ask how to remove the Holy Armor, but after digging it up, he found that Shay had sunk into a deep sleep and wouldn't wake up, no matter how much he called.
Well, it seemed he would have to wait for it to wake up before he could learn more.
Just then, one of the two guards lying on the ground, the one without a name, suddenly stood up and let out a cry of grief and anger, “Ah ah ah! My treasure! I don't want to live anymore; I might as well die.”
After howling, he pulled out a scroll from his bosom, tore it open, and threw it on the ground.
Shay and Gangya, who had also been mourning, were suddenly startled, “No good, a Positioning Scroll. You're a traitor?! So that's how the sand yeggs found our location, you betrayed us?”
“Yes, it was me marking our location all along, and I knew when the sand yeggs would attack, so I hid beforehand. I thought we'd divide up so many treasures, but it turns out they were all fake, all fake, your family's treasure vault is a sham!” the guard screamed, “Phili, the commander, come out, take this fraudster merchant back to claim the reward!”
Utter silence. The scroll emitted a faint glow and trembled there, with no change occurring.
The guard looked confused, staring at Shay and Gangya with uncertainty.
Gangya came to his senses, pulled out his Longsword, and charged at the traitor. At that moment, a bright light erupted from where the scroll lay, followed by a strong teleportation surge.
Several shadows appeared in the bright light, and a loud voice rang out, “Charge! Capture the Goblin Swindler alive, crush the other creatures. Phili's squad, move out!”
Shay watched in panic as a fully-armed Swordsman burst out of the light and was then sent flying by a swing of a bone club.
Another Swordsman emerged from the group of light, only to be sent flying as well– one club swing after another, six Swordsmen didn't even get to see what was happening before they were wiped out.
The bright light subsided, and all that remained on the ground were a broken scroll and six Swordsmen, whose fate was unknown.
Everyone was stunned by this unexpected turn of events. Shay's emotions fluctuated wildly, he was at a loss, and the traitorous guard was befuddled; why was the plot unfolding differently than expected? Where did this Paladin come from?
With the Holy Armor equipped, Ange looked exactly like a Holy Knight.
Even when Little Bone approached him, the traitor still hadn't come to his senses, and all he saw was the 'Paladin' swinging the bone club, then everything went black, and he knew no more.
“I… this… was the commission too well spent? The Phili squad is gone, just like that?”
