Chapter 1314: Chapter 877: Leading Ange Astray Chapter 1314: Chapter 877: Leading Ange Astray With an endless supply of Chaos Mist as support, Ange's scales rippled across his body, his bones pierced through his skin, expanded his skeleton, and then were again covered with skin and scales, as if undergoing a bone-replacing rebirth, his body continuously expanded.
Finally, his wings spread out, covering the entire Chaos Plane, transforming into a true Ancient Time Dragon.
Then, Ange opened his eyes. His eyes were not the usual slits of the Dragon Clan, but instead a complete darkness, as if filled with countless stars, just hanging in suspension, the surrounding matter alternating between slowing and hastening.
It was like a stone floating past–when it passed by the Ancient Time Dragon, it would suddenly accelerate or decelerate, but in reality, its speed was constant; it had just fallen into a turbulent flow of erratic time changes.
Negris swallowed hard, “Is…is this an Ancient Dragon? An ancestor of the Dragon Clan? Is it… this terrifying?”
Negris felt a bit embarrassed. If the Ancient Time Dragon was such a terrifying entity, then being one of the only two of the Giant Dragon Clan possessing God Status, he couldn't even compare to a single toe of the Ancient Dragon, which was quite humiliating for his ancestors.
“Yes, the Time Origin. Originally, among those of us with origins, the Ancient Dragon had the strongest combat power. I never thought we'd have the chance to see it again,” said Dark Origin.
“Right, the most powerful, because in the Void, the second most powerful is Time. The Ancient Dragon's 'Time Extension Line' can stretch any attack, making it last longer on a larger time scale, turning an attack that could destroy the Abyss into a mere gentle breeze,” added Abyssal Big Mouth with a tone of resignation.
“Pff–Time Extension Line? Who came up with that name?” Negris spat out old blood.
“It was probably the Void Will, I guess. I heard this name from it. The Ancient Dragon's abilities didn't have names before,” Abyssal Big Mouth speculated.
Anthony, resting his chin on his hand, said, “It must have been Adams; the Spirit Magicians are always secretive and mentally disordered, like the Alchemists, they come up with such bizarre yet fitting names.”
He then sighed, “Ah, we know too little of the Ancient Dragon's deeds. Wait, you said 'Time' is the second most powerful. According to the power of the Time Extension Line, is there something more terrifying than 'Time' in the Void?”
“Yes, you have just seen it. The world ultimately returns to chaos–eternal chaos, where time has no meaning anymore,” Abyssal Big Mouth pointed towards the still-expanding Red Giant State in the distance.
If Ange's ultimate Dragon God Transformation turned him into an Ancient Time Dragon whose size could rival that of the Master Plane, then the Ancient Godlight's Red Giant State was even more vast than millions of Ancient Dragons and was still expanding.
It started with a Red Giant pushing out from within, but with such expansion, even the Red Giant could no longer maintain its form and had collapsed into a spherical shape.
Looking at it now, it appeared as a massive red orb of light, occasionally a face would surface on the orb, eerily staring in the direction of Ange and the others.
As the Red Giant Ball expanded, the mist receded, revealing many things that had been hidden deep within the Chaos Mist, like a tablet.
“Hey, the Third Void Tablet! It's the All-Power Unity Tablet!” Negris exclaimed.
On the Third Void Tablet, a consciousness was slowly awakening, its thoughts vaguely reaching out as if confused: Hey, where did the mist go? Why does it feel a bit hot?
By the time it reacted, the Red Giant Ball had already expanded close to it. Strong red light radiated heat onto it, and the surface of the tablet began to emit wisps of white smoke.
“Ah! Hot, hot, hot…” the Void Tablet let out a cry of agony as it drifted away, but it was too late. Its movement was too slow, and before it could escape the radiation of the red light, its surface began to melt, slowing even further until it stopped completely and was swallowed by the expanding Red Giant Ball.
“Is…is it gone just like that? Then… does the All-Power Unity Law still hold?” Negris said in shock.
The Monarch, puzzled, asked, “What does it have to do with the Laws of the Void? It's just a tablet, just like you are the God of Knowledge. Burning you won't stop the spread of knowledge; it might even spread faster.”
That remark hit Negris hard. Stellaris Academy had been established because it lacked his reckless directives. Angered, he exhaled a Dragon Breath onto the Monarch.
The Monarch grabbed him by the neck and threw him aside, then raised his hand; a Void Tablet slowly appeared.
“The real Void Tablet was dismantled by me long ago. These are ones I made for fishing,” the Monarch said, glancing at the Dark Origin and Abyssal Big Mouth. Clearly, the Void Tablets were meant to lure them and the Void Will, but unfortunately, it wasn't successful.
Negris's eyes widened in realization. “Right, the Chaos Mist is actually your form. How could you not know where the Void Tablet is hidden? Did you also create the tide? Why?”
“The Void is collapsing. I tried to hold it up, but it was unsuccessful,” replied the Monarch indifferently.
Negris stood with his mouth open, not knowing what to say. Had the Old Immortal been quietly doing so much without anyone knowing?
At this moment, Ange, who had completed his transformation, finally moved. He flapped his wings and flew towards the Red Giant Ball. Everyone thought he was merely approaching it to attack, but a Gold Coin imprint arose on his body, followed by the sounds of “discount — discount –” echoing as he dove headfirst into the Red Giant Ball under the protection of the Power of the Fraudsters and using the God of Balance as a shield.
A difficult silence ensued, and everyone exchanged glances. After a long while, the Monarch said, “What… What is he doing? Has he gone mad?”
Anthony hesitated, “My lord seems to be using the God of Balance as a shield and the Power of the Fraudsters as protection to break in, this… this… this…”
Even Anthony was unsure how to justify Ange's actions because they were too risky. If it failed, it could mean death, including for those linked by Soul Contact. Surely the situation wasn't so dire as to take such a huge risk?
“Ridiculous, his plan is to do this?” the Monarch was somewhat angry.
He had given all his power to Ange because he trusted that Ange had a plan, but he hadn't expected this level of risk. It was a gamble where a failure meant the end, without even a chance to turn the tables.
Anthony offered a forced smile, “The lord must have been confident.”
“Even with confidence, he shouldn't take such risks. Diving in headfirst leaves no room for maneuver–it's either the enemy dies, or he dies, this reckless child,” said the Monarch, growing agitated.
Negris snorted in displeasure, “Isn't this how you usually act? Always hacking away forcibly, you've led Ange astray.”
The Monarch retorted, “Is that forcefully? That's because I'm confident, I…” He stopped mid-sentence, realizing he had just contradicted himself by saying “even with confidence one shouldn't,” effectively silencing himself.
Resolved, the Monarch decided not to dwell on it anymore and declared, “Big Mouth, Dark Origin, get ready, we're going in.”
Though he had transferred all the Chaos Mist to Ange, without it, he was still the mighty Undead Ruler, one of the origins of the Void.
“What?!” Both the Abyssal Big Mouth and the Dark Origin were stunned. Break into a Red Giant Ball that could vaporize a Void Tablet?
“What do you mean what? If Ange dies, Dark Origin, you die too. Big Mouth won't die, so let Big Mouth lead. If it resists, just kill it,” the Monarch said fiercely.
As the Monarch was driving the Abyssal Big Mouth and Dark Origin, getting ready to rush in to save the day, the expansion of the Red Giant Ball suddenly halted.
