Chapter 1305: Chapter 868: Another Anchor Point?! Chapter 1305: Chapter 868: Another Anchor Point?! The place they were in was a gigantic man-made object, similar to a Starburst Array, whose core function was an array. However, the specific function of the array could not yet be discerned. Most of the array was not operational; only the part maintaining temperature was working. Under these circumstances, unless Ange dismantled the entire array or inspected it inch by inch, it would be impossible to determine the core function of the array.
The next plan was to wait for the entire array to operate and then confirm its function by observing the trajectory of its energy flow. Now that it was activated, Negris hastily called out, “Ange, Ange, bring out Old Du to take a look.”
Ange casually lifted Durken out.
Seeing a group of dark element armored mages, Durken was also startled. He wrapped himself in his cape and vanished into the void as a wisp of smoke.
However, his trick seemed unable to fool the armored mages. One of them raised his hand, intending to release a Dark Element Stream attack towards the disappearing Durken.
But before he could unleash the magic, he felt a gaze land on him, and he had a premonition that if he dared to make a move, he would certainly die.
This premonition was incredibly real, as if a pair of eyes were staring into his soul, causing him to shiver all over, unable to complete the incantation until Durken left his attack range. Only then did he heave a sigh of relief, his body limp with depletion.
It wasn't just him; the other Armor Mages and even Ricks felt the same way, as if a gaze was upon them, threatening them with death at any moment.
The others didn't understand and just felt fear, but Ricks was filled with pure terror from the bottom of his heart, “A god…the gaze of a god, but why…why…where is my god?”
Being observed by another god who could bring them death at any moment, while his own god showed no reaction, if this were a battle of gods, at this moment, the Forbidden God had already lost.
Ricks turned his head and saw a shield imprint condense in front of the light ball, blocking the Monarch's scythe. The Monarch seemed to treat the Death Scythe like an axe, chopping with every strike rather than the scythe's customary poking, dragging, hooking, and slicing.
Boom! Another loud noise, as the Death Scythe and the shield imprint collided, both shattering to pieces.
The Monarch couldn't bother to summon the Death Scythe again and simply threw a punch.
Another shield imprint moved from the side of the light ball to the front, solidly blocking the Monarch's fist.
Boom! The Monarch threw another punch.
Yet another shield imprint moved from behind to the front, once again blocking the Monarch's attack.
The light ball seemed to have no room to counterattack, only continuously manifesting shields to block, with the rumbling of energy collisions going non-stop.
However, Ange tilted his head; he felt as if the light ball had grown slightly larger.
The light ball then surged with a sorrowful and angry voice, “Why are you here? How could you possibly find this place? How did you get here!?”
Three questions, each more enraged than the last, fully exhibiting the inner turmoil and unwillingness.
If one were to understand the position of the two anchors, they would realize why the light ball was puzzled. A hundred and eighty million kilometers, farther than the distance from the Chaos Plane to the Master Plane. Such a vast distance, all void, without any substance or energy to be found, making it incredibly difficult to traverse.
Even at the speed of a Super Speed Snail, it would take several months to travel. However, given the distance, a Super Speed Snail couldn't stray too far from its main body. If the main body were to move there, the energy consumption would be enormous.
No Ancient God would be willing to fly for months or even a year through a void environment, searching for something whose existence was uncertain. Hence, over tens of thousands of years, the presence of the two anchors remained unknown.
But now, all of a sudden, all Origins had come to attack — the Undead Ruler cutting it down, the Law Breakers raiding the formation, and spectators like Dark Origin and Abyssal Big Mouth…
Eh, why am I also calling it Big Mouth? Damn it, I've been influenced by those planar creatures.
Within the Void, there were six Origins, and apart from it, four of the other five were already here. The remaining one, the Hole Bug, could also arrive here at any time, because that one was the Space Origin.
Of all Origins, only it could easily traverse vast distances and bring anything here. There was no need to think about it, it definitely was the Hole Bug that had transported them over.
“Damn fatty worm, to think I fed it so many tasty treats.” The Void Will seethed internally, blaming the wrong entity and hence overlooking an important issue.
The Monarch didn't like to talk while chopping people up, unless someone burnt his fields. The last time an avatar of the Dark Origin burnt his realm's fields, he chased them down while cursing.
But as for the rage of the Void Will, he couldn't be bothered with that, talking can wait until after the chopping.
However, under the relentless attacks, the Monarch also spotted a problem, “Why is this Light Ball getting bigger? Is the Array transferring energy to it? Durken, check quickly, is it an issue with the Array?”
“I'm on it, I'm on it, with such a huge Array, how could I see everything at once? Why not just smash it?” Durken was busily looking here and there, his gaze darting around.
But this was a massive systematic project. First, they had to find the energy pathways, then disassemble and recombine the pathways, defining each circuit's function and effect before piecing them together to form individual components, and finally study the function of each part to determine the overall purpose of the Array.
If the Array had more than one function, the workload would double. It would take at least three to five days to figure it out, better to just smash it.
“Good idea, Ange, smash it,” the Monarch shouted.
Ange reached into the Dimensional Space and knocked. Soon after, the Hole Bug's head popped out.
“Open up, and don't bite,” Ange instructed.
“Ah–” The Hole Bug opened its mouth wide, large enough to swallow a person.
“Bigger.”
“Ah– Ah–”
“Bigger still,” Ange was still not satisfied.
“Hmph! Ah– Ah-ah– Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah–” The Hole Bug opened its mouth to the maximum, its upper lip touching the sky and its lower lip against the ground, blocking off the entire internal space of the Array.
Ange nodded in satisfaction and reached toward the inside of the Array–Abyssal Secret.
A tremendous suction force immediately drew in everything not fixed inside the Array, including the millions of Forbidden God believers and Armor Mages.
However, Ange controlled the intensity of the Abyssal Secret, ensuring it wasn't strong enough to consume even light, or else these fragile humans would be torn apart.
Even though the intensity was controlled, drawing people over was sufficient. A bunch of people involuntarily started 'falling' towards the gaping maw of the Hole Bug.
It indeed was 'falling'–the Abyssal Secret directly altered the direction of gravity. Those who were originally standing on the ground now had the ground as their wall, and they fell from the wall fluttering down as if jumping off a building, all falling into the Hole Bug's massive mouth.
At the same time, the Dark Origin transformed into a puff of smoke that entered the ground, spreading outward like an epidemic, only it was black–Dark Erosion.
Since the Abyssal Secret was already in use by Ange, the Abyssal Big Mouth could only widen its mouth, ready to 'hurl', but then heard the laughter of the Void Will, “Too late, goodbye, you fools! Rot away in this desert!”
Whoosh–a bright light flashed, and the Light Ball, the Monarch, the Array, and everything inside vanished into the Void.
At the Center of the Chaos Plane, deep within the mist, a torrent of material spewed out, including the Light Ball, the Monarch, Ange, and others, along with the Array shattered into innumerable pieces.
Realizing where they had ended up, the Light Ball let out an angry roar, “Why did we end up here? Where's the other anchor point? Where?!”
