Chapter 1304: Chapter 867: Someone Activated the Array Chapter 1304: Chapter 867: Someone Activated the Array The Monarch was quite helpless recently, as these children each acted like an old Undead, no, even worse than Undead, just like Piero.
Thinking this, the Monarch glared at Anthony, certain that he was the bad influence on everyone.
He, the mighty Undead Ruler, the king of all the Undead across the Void, had been sneaking around recently, completely out of character, and it was frustrating him.
His usual approach was to kill first and talk later, perfect if the target died; he could talk to the corpse.
But Ange's children always preferred to hide first, sneaking around to understand everything before striking suddenly or slipping away quietly, totally lacking the domineering presence of a true Lord of the Undead.
However, he also knew why everyone had developed this habit; mainly, he was to blame as the Undead Empire in the Master Plane had lost its king, and their power had crumbled, turning them into a vulnerable group.
Ange was originally just a farming skeleton, Negris a Death House Dragon, Piero to protect the Resting Abyss had infiltrated the Church of Light, laying low for thousands of years, forcing everyone to tread carefully.
If the Undead Empire had maintained its former strength, the kids would not have needed to be so cautious.
Admittedly, sneaking around had its advantages, as information from all aspects was much richer; for instance, Ange and the others pooled their information and quickly found the Void anchor point that the Monarch had not located despite searching for hundreds of years.
Did the Monarch not know about the anchor points?
Of course, he did, his Chaotic Undead Legion had been revived precisely to search for this anchor point, but what he didn't know was that there were two anchor points, and they were both far from the Chaos Plane.
If he had continued slashing his way through, he would likely have pierced the Chaos Plane without finding this place, a self-balancing closed world; no wonder there were no clues about it in the memories of all the Ancient Gods because it had no connection to the Chaos Plane.
Though annoyed, the Monarch was relieved that it was finally discovered, and he no longer needed to hide.
But just as the Monarch was about to pounce in his Primordial Body, a figure, faster than him, darted out and transformed into the Muscle Dragon God mid-dash.
“Hey, Ange, don't steal my thunder; let me handle this,” the Monarch urged, eager for a fierce fight since it had been a long time, and foreseeing the future, he might not have the chance to face an opponent of equal caliber again since almost all the Primordial Gods had sided with Ange.
Ange was not interested in competing; he dove into the bubble and immediately grabbed a small bubble that was spraying flour, solidifying the space.
Only then did he turn to look at the sphere, where the Monarch was already battling it, the Death Scythe striking the sphere and eliciting a crown-like corona of energy that exploded into a blinding flash of light.
The sudden turn of events stirred up the entire Array, causing the congregants to rise and surge forward with angry cries, while some of the armored mages protected Chris, the rest charged at Ange, hurling streams of Dark Element.
Perhaps too panic-stricken, one of the armored mages misfired their Dark Element Stream, hitting the crowd instead.
This ordinary-looking stream of Dark Element demonstrated its true destructive power among the crowd, dissolving flesh and disintegrating bones, carving a huge hole through the people.
Some, with half their bodies dissolved, did not realize until they collapsed in agonizing pain.
However, when this terrifying Dark Element Stream approached Ange, he deftly caught them all in his hands, stuffing them directly into the Abyss Ball.
“Kvada, he is more adept at picking Elf Beans than Big Cat, he clearly has practiced a lot,” Negris commented drily.
Ange's skill in picking elf beans had led his enemies to start questioning their lives, as the dark element armored mages looked at him and then at their own hands, hesitating for a moment before raising them again toward him.
This time, the magic released varied wildly, including dark elemental slash, explosive smoke, dark sculpting, and elemental summoning like the undying bird.
But it was useless. Ange was now the master of the dark origin, and he could directly strip these dark element armored mages of their control over dark elements. In front of the origin, the Truth Mage meant nothing.
Chris had also realized this issue and shouted, “He can strip away the darkness, don't use dark magic, use Divine Arts.”
Chris took a step forward and shouted, “Endless Holy Light, protect my shell, Invincible Forbidden God, lend me your divine power, Forbidden God Descent!”
With Chris's words, a silhouette emerged from his body, but it was very ethereal and shattered like a bubble before it could even form.
This turn of events stupefied Chris, who looked up at the sky in disbelief.
Negris burst out laughing on the spot: “His god has been beaten by the Old Immortal so hard that he has no time to care for them.”
As Negris said, their god was being beaten by the Undead Ruler, with no spare energy to project power.
“These fools dare to offend the Lord, let me erode them.” The dark origin was about to act but was stopped by Anthony.
“No, no, no, such good faith magic crystals, what a waste it would be to kill them, don't hurt them.”
The dark origin was somewhat dismissive: “That's hardly anything, it wouldn't last for one fight even after ten thousand years.”
“Who uses faith elemental force to fight anyway, the Lord uses it for farming,” Anthony said.
It seemed Ange had heard and he turned his head and shouted, “Farming.”
Element conversion used divine power, and now he had discovered a new way to make flour using components of the air that couldn't be breathed, converting them into flour while simultaneously purifying the air–an action that would undoubtedly increase the consumption of faith elemental force even more.
Since Ange had spoken, the dark origin reluctantly drew back: “Then what do we do?”
Anthony glanced at the monarch's battle, saying, “Most likely, we can only stand by and watch; besides, if an enemy requires all four origins to gang up on it, they'd be too terrifying.”
If it took four origins to defeat such power, the Void Will would have already dominated the Chaos Plane. It wouldn't be avoiding the monarch and taking detours.
At this moment, the Undead Ruler finally demonstrated his true strength. Whether it was chasing the dark origin's split body or being trapped in the dark domain earlier, the monarch hadn't had a chance to show his true power. It was inconceivable considering his reputation across the Chaos Plane, where all ancient gods steered clear of him.
Now it was clear.
With every strike of the monarch, whether punches, kicks, or scythe slashes, he delivered a terrifyingly powerful force. With every block of the light sphere, a collision occurred that rivalled the impact of plane collisions.
It was just this simple and unadorned–no other tricks, just sheer overwhelming power to the point that even the energy-formed light sphere was struggling to cope.
At this rate, the light sphere would be beaten to death.
Just then, as the spectators were watching, they suddenly felt something and looked down at the ground: “The ground seems to be moving; someone has activated an Array.”
