Chapter 1301: Chapter 864: Might Have His Certification Chapter 1301: Chapter 864: Might Have His Certification A Mage Tower identical to Tuxi Rikis's stood beneath the Light Ball, its spire directly facing the glowing sphere.
Tuxi Rikis was hoisted out, looking at the Mage Tower in shock, he murmured, “This is my Mage Tower, the sixth brick in the sixth row, and the sixth brick in the ninth row from the foundation upwards, I used bricks of different colors; this is indeed my Mage Tower, did you release it?”
The Mage Tower was indeed that Mage Tower, except the small town that was attached to Tuxi Rikis's tower was still inside the Dimensional Space, whereas the Mage Tower here had its attached village missing. From the neat fracture and reinforced base, one could deduce that the town had been dismantled methodically rather than destroyed in chaos.
The Monarch couldn't help but laugh, “This is going to be interesting, it resembles a parallel reflection, this is another anchor point.”
“That's not right, if this is another anchor point, then what's that Array at the back? That thing looks like the Starburst Array, it should be an Array too, right? And what about that speck of light? It's not present at Tuxi Rikis's location.” Negris commented.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk, if Tuxi Rikis could have sustained his townspeople, allowing them to survive and reproduce, and if they had kept learning and progressing, with sixty thousand years, it would have been possible to build such an Array,” the Monarch said with relish, as if he had already brainstormed many possibilities in his mind.
“Uh, do you mean that there's a Tuxi Rikis here too? He wasn't as incompetent as the one… let's call him Little Tu; unlike Da Tu, he didn't starve his people to death but sustained them, and eventually, with those few hundred people, created all this?” Negris wondered.
The Monarch nodded, “If this is a parallel reflection, then there must be two Tuxi Rikises, but why Tuxi Rikis?”
Negris was puzzled as well, “Right, why Tuxi Rikis? He's not handsome, he's broke, and he can't talk; why would he become the anchor point?”
Tuxi Rikis immediately took offense, “What are you saying? I'm not handsome nor wealthy? I had my own Mage Tower at the age of thirty, a Mage Tower, do you know how much that costs?”
Negris retorted with hands on her hips, “Do you think you're as rich as the head of the Magician's Guild? Or as wealthy as a Demon Crystal Mine Owner? Do you believe me if I say I can bring out their kids and smash you with money?”
“I… I…” Tuxi Rikis was at a loss for words; he dared not compare his wealth to the head of the Magician's Guild; they were not even on the same scale.
Taking advantage of the moment, Negris continued, “You're neither handsome nor wealthy, so why were you selected as the anchor point? Is it because you invented the Spatial Slingshot? But according to what you said, the discovery of the Spatial Slingshot was due to some kind of conscious projection on you. It could project on you, or it could project on anyone else, so why choose you?”
Tuxi Rikis fell silent but most likely had considered this question already. After a moment of hesitation, he suggested, “It is quite likely because I practiced Adams' Forbidden Technique.”
“Adams' Forbidden Technique? You mastered Adam's Forbidden Technique? Hadn't that series of spells long since been lost? Where did you learn them?” Negris exclaimed with surprise.
Adams' Forbidden Technique is a series of spirit magic and magic artifacts created by a Spirit Magician named Adams, often associated with incidents involving mental manipulation and control, resulting in some very nasty events.
Amongst them, the most famous are the Adams' Repressing Ring and the Queen Seth incident, which resulted in a thirty-year war of annihilation between the Seth Empire and the Tiwan Empire, leading to the fall of the Tiwan Empire.
After that, Adams' Forbidden Technique truly became forbidden, and later on, under the stringent investigation by the Church of Light, it was completely lost to time. Even Negris, who had only heard roughly about some of these forbidden spells, was unaware of their intricacies.
Tuxi Rikis had actually studied Adams' Forbidden Technique? That made sense; he was from sixty thousand years ago when the influence of the Church of Light wasn't as pervasive as it is now, making it not difficult to come into contact with forbidden spells.
Tuxi Rikis gave him a once-over and then asked, “You actually know about Adams' Forbidden Technique, are you a Bronze Dragon from the Plane where I come from?”
Oops, the cat was out of the bag; after Tuxi Rikis recognized it as a Bronze Dragon, he had mentioned the name of an ancestor from the Dragon Clan, which Negris had previously denied.
But now there was no need to conceal anything, and Negris openly admitted, “Yes, I come from the same Plane as you, we call it the Master Plane, and Leofina is my great-great-great-grandmother.”
It seemed that I had been deceived by the Bronze Dragon all along, but now was not the time for reckoning. Instead, it was much more convenient for it to know about Adams' Forbidden Technique and explain.
“I had studied Adams' Forbidden Technique, and when I was practicing the Forbidden Technique Seventh Sense: Divine Consciousness, I suddenly felt as if something was watching me. Then I passed out. When I woke up the next day, I was extremely exhausted, as if I was about to die. It was very uncomfortable, and I couldn't sense anything like divine consciousness at all.”
“At that time, I thought I had been duped and that what I was practicing was not a forbidden technique at all, so I just tossed it aside. However, from that time on, I started having all sorts of bizarre thoughts in my mind, invented the Spatial Slingshot, wrote some notes, taught quite a few students, and then I was transported to the Void and have been trapped here till now.”
“I've contemplated for a full sixty thousand years, and all the changes started from the moment I passed out. The Undead Ruler had mentioned something about consciousness mapping before. I might have been subjected to consciousness mapping back then.”
What Tuxi Rikis had recounted was actually something everyone could more or less guess. The Monarch had used a method similar to consciousness mapping when transferring to the Starburst Array on the Star Burst Plane, but nobody had thought it would be connected to Adams' Forbidden Technique.
Hearing this, the Monarch said, “Someone used consciousness projection to nurture you, and then used something like a mirror image strategy to anchor you at both ends of the Chaos Plane. You are too weak on this end; all the town residents have died out, with very little development. But the other end has developed and become what it is today.”
“Why is it like that? If it's something like a parallel mirror image, then they should be the same,” Negris asked, puzzled.
The Monarch said, “That is unknown. Perhaps this side just happened to have some resources that Da Tu's side lacked.”
“Forget it, all this guessing is getting tiresome. We might as well go and capture someone to ask,” Negris, growing a little impatient with speculation since there was no corroborating evidence, suggested that instead of just guessing, they might as well go and seize someone to question.
Anthony said, “We'd better sneak over quietly; if we startle the Void Will, even if we capture someone, we may not be able to get any information out of them.”
“Sneak over? That's a bit hard. You might not be able to see it, but Ange, tell them what is ahead,” the Monarch said.
Ange cocked his head.
Ange didn't need to say anything, as Negris and Anthony hurriedly shared Ange's vision and looked ahead. They saw in the barren Void several inconspicuous little things evenly distributed, emitting undetectable Dark Element Fluctuations, which seemed to be automatic magical detection devices.
“Kvada, I thought they had no defenses. It turns out they were using the Dark Element; we almost fell for it. Can't your smoke form hide from the detection?” Negris asked.
The Monarch shook his head: “It can't escape detection by the Dark Element. Even sound can oscillate the Dark Element, and if there's an area where the Dark Element isn't oscillating, they'll know immediately that something's up.”
“What do we do then? Wait for them to come out and capture one?” Negris suggested.
“What's the use of capturing just one? I want to have a look at that array. We need to figure out a way to sneak in or break in,” the Abyssal Big Mouth disagreed.
After a long discussion with no consensus, everyone turned to Ange out of habit.
Ange had already reached into the Dimensional Space to tend to the vegetables, and upon noticing everyone looking his way, he cocked his head.
“Why are you cocking your head? Make a decision. What shall we do? Break in, or wait for them to come out?” Negris said, not hiding his irritation.
Ange scratched his head, thought for a moment, then suddenly his shoulders moved briskly, and he quickly pulled out a body. He grabbed the soul of Tuxi Rikis and stuffed it inside, delivering a punch to its heart–Rebirth.
Pointing at the resurrected Tuxi Rikis, Ange said, “Him, mirror image.”
Anthony slapped his thigh: “Great idea, if this place is a parallel mirror image, then Lord Tuxi is the anchor. Those automatic detection devices are likely authenticated by him, possibly even the highest level. We can use him as a cover to sneak in.”
