Chapter 1293: Chapter 856: Aren't You Worried About Us Hurting You? Chapter 1293: Chapter 856: Aren't You Worried About Us Hurting You? Even seeing an Ancient God stronger than the Void Will here, Negris wouldn't be so startled. A Mage Tower? What a joke, how does that even fit with the environment of the Void?
It was in the typical shape of a human Mage Tower, a solitary main tower standing on a Giant Rock, with various auxiliary buildings below, roughly the size of a small town.
The Mage Towers on the Master Plane are usually this size, with hundreds or thousands of followers, servants, and family members alone. Like scroll girl Misha's father, the Mars Magic Tower even rivals the size of a small city.
Why is there a Mage Tower here?
In the Voidland, 180 million kilometers away from the Chaos Plane, where even the thinnest Element doesn't exist, how could there be a towering Mage Tower? Who built it here? Is anyone inside?
Just as the thought occurred, Ange stopped and looked at the Mage Tower warily, obviously noticing something.
From the tower, a person wearing a robe flew out and approached them. From a distance, he excitedly shouted, “My God, my God, hello there. Wow, to see living creatures here–hello! Where do you come from? Are you from the Chaos Plane?”
In the nothingness of the Void, the voice of the human Mage carried distinctly to everyone's ears. It wasn't some sort of vibration on a spiritual level, but actual sound waves.
The Monarch whispered, “Dark Element Oscillations. There's a breath of life, a living thing.”
The 'living' in the Monarch's mouth obviously had a different meaning than the 'living' of the other's. The Monarch's 'living' meant a living creature, while the other's 'living' seemed to mean something more active.
“Really living people? Living humans? How is that possible? How could anyone survive here?” Negris asked incredulously. “And a Dark Element wizard? Can humans master the Dark Element? Can you tell what level they are?”
The Monarch said, “Truth Level, but the Magic Power reaction is weird–it seems very 'thick'.”
The level of Magic has two dimensions: intensity and thickness. “Truth Level” refers to intensity, indicating that the wizard has mastered the Truth of Magic.
But the amount of Truth Magic one can cast indicates the 'thickness' of Magic. Some have exceptionally abundant Magic Power and strong spiritual power, capable of casting more spells than others–that's what counts as 'thick'.
By the way, Ange is exactly that kind of 'thick' Wizard.
While they were whispering among themselves, Anthony had already warmly greeted the newcomer: “Oh, I didn't expect to find such a powerful Mage here! My God, is this a Miracle? Great Mage, how come you are here?”
“Ha ha ha, God could not stay here, it is not any Miracle, just some Truth and mysteries,” the Wizard said, unable to help exclaiming as he realized Anthony's situation. “You, travelers from afar, coming here is no easy feat. My God, you are also a human, and a living one at that? That's too magical. Have you also mastered some sort of Truth?”
“Not at all, great Mage,” Anthony said devoutly, closing his eyes and making a hand sign. “It is my Lord who brought me here, this is his Miracle, glory to my Lord.”
The Mage pursed his lips, showing an embarrassed expression. He muttered something under his breath, but since he wasn't Oscillating any Dark Element, the sound didn't carry in the Void, and no one heard what he muttered.
However, Negris, inconveniently skilled in reading lips, quickly translated, “He said: 'How come it's a Godman.'”
Anthony, through the Soul Network, heard Negris's words and immediately opened his eyes without alerting anyone, devoutly saying, “However, my Lord is also a Truther, he has grasped the truth of unlimited casting, and we worship him as the God of infinite Magic.”
Well, true to being a Godman, falsehood spills from his lips with ease, promptly bestowing upon Ange the title of God of Magic.
However, upon hearing his words, the expression of the Wizard opposite softened a bit as he cheerily said, “So you are followers of the truth, welcome, welcome, everyone to the Void Tower. I am Tuxi Rikis, a 'Void' Element Mage. May I ask the names of you travelers?”
Straight-up ignoring Anthony's mention of being a disciple, treating him as a follower of the truth instead, it seemed Tuxi Rikis really had a distaste for disciples; it made sense, after all, most Wizards were atheists and couldn't stand those Godman disciples who always brought gods into the conversation.
“Just call me Anthony,” Anthony said, addressing Tuxi Rikis, “Excuse me, when you speak of the 'Void' Element, do you mean this kind of element?” With a gesture of his hand, a Dark Element Flame immediately ignited in his palm.
Negris was taken aback–when had this Death God's Staff learned the Dark Element?
Tuxi Rikis also looked at Anthony with some surprise, scrutinizing him for a moment before saying, “Yes, do you also wield the Void Element?” Then he quietly muttered to himself, “But why is there no Magic Wave?”
The muttered part about there being no Oscillation of the Dark Element made no sound, so it was Negris who read his lips to understand it.
“Yes, although we call it the Dark Element, so you refer to it as the 'Void' Element?” Anthony inquired.
“Ah? You call it the Dark Element? Dark Element… Dark Element… huh, that does seem a bit more fitting because it indeed exists as an element–it truly is there. Just because we can't see it doesn't mean it is 'Void.' Calling it Dark Element is more suitable…” Tuxi Rikis mumbled to himself on the spot, taking out a notebook and starting to carve on it with the Element.
“This…” Anthony couldn't help but feel a mix of amusement and disbelief.
Yet, Negris found it rather endearing. This habit of getting so engrossed in something of interest that one ignores their guests and dives into research was common among scholars. Negris had had that habit himself; that's why he remained a dragon until death…
After making a couple of marks in the notebook, presumably to change the name of the Element, he put away the notebook and said, “The Dark Element does indeed seem more fitting. From now on, let's refer to it as the Dark Element and not the 'Void' Element.”
Tentatively, Anthony asked, “Are you able to change it? Wouldn't the discoverer be upset?”
“Oh, the discoverer? You mean the Prophet, right? No, no. The Dark Element was my independent discovery–I am the Prophet. Who is your discoverer of the Dark Element?” Tuxi Rikis inquired.
Anthony gestured deferentially towards Ange with his hands held back, “This is the discoverer of our Dark Element and also my Lord Ange.”
Tuxi Rikis tipped his hat, “Pleased to meet you, Lord Ange.”
Ange nodded.
Anthony quickly explained, “My Lord says he is very pleased to meet you. My Lord is not human, hence he is not adept at speech. I apologize.”
“Oh,” Tuxi Rikis looked at Ange with surprise, then at the Monarch, and finally his gaze settled on Anthony, “It looks like you're the only normal one here. Come, I welcome you all to visit my Mage Tower.”
Anthony asked with a smile, “Aren't you worried we might harm you?”
