Chapter 1282: Chapter 845: So That's How the Holy Spirit Comes Chapter 1282: Chapter 845: So That's How the Holy Spirit Comes “However, separating the Holy Dark Element was not an easy task, especially since the New Dark Source seemed to have poor control over the Dark Energy Ball, squeezing and squeezing and hardly getting anything off.”
Ange single-handedly condensed another Dark Element Stream and cast it down. Just before it reached the surface of the Energy Orb, it suddenly exploded, turning into tiny black droplets that sprayed out evenly.
“Alas, this Dead Skull has learned some bad tricks, too bad, too bad,” Negris slapped his hips, “Isn't this just like throwing trash on the ground while someone else is cleaning? How can it ever be clean?”
But then, a miraculous scene occurred. The Holy Dark Element, which fell onto the surface of the Energy Orb, began to roll around like droplets on a lotus leaf.
“Eh? Lotus Leaf Effect?” Anthony also noticed it and exclaimed in surprise.
These Holy Dark Elements rolled and rolled and kept rolling until they reached a recessed area before merging into it. Clearly, the spots that absorbed the element were that of the Holy Dark Element, as opposed to the pure Dark Element which couldn't merge.
Seeing that his approach was not effective, Ange pondered while lifting a beam of light with his other hand.
The light beam, as thick as a palm, shot up to the sky, piercing through the darkness, extending hundreds of meters high. From a distance, it looked like a miniature sky-reaching light beam.
“Door of Heaven?” Anthony asked, puzzled.
The Door of Heaven was actually a transport channel. When the light column broke through the Plane Barrier and touched down on the ground, Holy Spirit Angels could enter the Plane unhindered.
But the devout believers call it the Door of Heaven because from a distance, the light column looks more like a gigantic door opening a crack, behind which lies the immense Heaven and the multitude of gods.
The perception of the believers is what counts, what it was originally called is unimportant, from now on it will be known as the Door of Heaven.
As the Door of Heaven opened, Holy Spirits floated, and the holy words echoed faintly.
Every time the Door of Heaven was opened, it was accompanied by the dance of Holy Spirits and the chanting of holy words. There were no such special effects initially, but if the believers believed there were, then there would be.
Things defined by the collective belief of a group can be much more grandiose than those defined by Magicians, their priority level is higher than any Divine Arts.
So when Ange opened the Door of Heaven, the faint holy words sounded, and one by one, Holy Spirit Phantoms manifested, dancing around the pillar of light.
Ange 'awoo-ed' toward the Little Angel, who blinked in confusion, then looked toward the Holy Spirit Phantoms uncertainly, “Awoo?”
The dancing Holy Spirit Phantoms collectively paused, stopping in their tracks, and turned their heads in a daze to look in the direction of the Little Angel.
The Little Angel's eyes lit up, and he excitedly pointed to the Abyss Ball in Ange's hand, shouting, “Awooo, awooo, awooo!!!”
The Holy Spirit Phantoms were no longer dazed but immediately turned around and entered the Abyss Ball without hesitation. Each Holy Spirit Phantom, under Ange's watchful eye, rapidly solidified and when they entered the Abyss Ball, they were no longer phantoms, but figures made of light.
“This… this is the birth of Holy Spirits, so this is how they come about?” Anthony murmured.
“What do you mean, how do they come about?” Negris didn't understand the implication.
“The collective will of the believers has defined that miracles must always accompany Holy Spirits. When the Monarch performs a miracle, Holy Spirits are born. These Spiritual Bodies originally lack consciousness; they are by-products of the miracle, perhaps even less than a Wraith.”
“But the Monarch can grant them power. The Little Angel is the Supreme Holy Spirit who can command them. Just give them bodies, and they can become Holy Spirit Angels. I've always wondered how Holy Spirit Angels were created; I never expected it was like this,” Anthony said.
“Really? Is that how it works? Big Mouth, how exactly did you create your Chaos Spirit Angels?” Negris asked.
Abyssal Big Mouth responded irritably, “Don't call me Big Mouth, call me Lord Abyss or the Primordial Origin.”
“Okay Big Mouth, got it Big Mouth, how did your Chaos Spirits come into being?” Negris asked again.
Abyssal Big Mouth clenched his fist, then helplessly relaxed it and explained, “It's roughly the same principle, first create a spiritual body without consciousness, then grant them power and a physical form, and finally, they become what you call Chaos Spirits.”
Anthony suddenly interjected with curiosity, “Even you, a Primordial God, have to first create a spiritual body without consciousness and then endow it with power and a physical form?”
Abyssal Big Mouth rolled his eyes, “First Law of the Void, consciousness can't be created, and I am not a Law Breaker.”
“Oh, so Ange created consciousness, which makes him a Law Breaker?” Negris finally understood why Ange attracted the hatred of the Void Will, it turned out he had accomplished something even a Primordial God couldn't.
Abyssal Big Mouth couldn't contain his curiosity as well, “How did you create consciousness?”
Negris was about to say something when Anthony covered his mouth and smilingly said to Abyssal Big Mouth, “Less snooping into matters of the plane, it's not good for you.”
The light surrounding Abyssal Big Mouth dimmed again and he managed to force a smile through gritted teeth.
Ange withdrew some of the dark elements from the Abyss Ball to make room because once the Abyss Ball was filled, it was like a bead, completely losing its ability to devour anything.
Now, having extracted some energy, it regained the black hole appearance that devoured the light around it, sucking in any nearby Holy Spirits.
These Spiritual Saints were without consciousness; they were merely manifestations of collective beliefs but, after materialization, could carry Ange's power, continuously feeding into the Abyss Ball, starting the corruption from within–a much more efficient process than Little Angels and Redemption blessing it from the outside.
Meanwhile, the New Dark Source seemed to have gained control over some pure dark elements, as a gigantic hand emerged from the surging Energy Orb's surface, seemingly as if something was climbing out of the orb.
A giant scythe sliced through the air, cutting the massive hand into two pieces, the upper half falling onto the orb.
The Undead King, not knowing when, had wielded his Primordial Body, muttering to himself, “As if I don't exist, huh?”
It seems he had been holding back. If Locke hadn't been trapped inside the Energy Orb, he would have taken action much sooner.
“Ah! What on earth are you trying to do!” A face emerged from the surface of the Energy Orb, yelling angrily.
Ange paid it no mind, continuing to hasten the sending of Holy Spirits.
The Monarch looked baffledly at the face and said, “Obviously to kill you, what else?”
“Damn it, I will kill you!” The New Dark Source roared in anger.
Perhaps due to not inheriting the memories of the Dark Origin, this new incarnation of the Dark Origin was like a child, all roaring and shouting, with illogical words–completely clueless about who was going to kill whom.
Before the Monarch could say anything, a spike burst out from within the Energy Orb, piercing through the face, and a calm voice resounded, “Darkness is mine, I am the true Origin of Darkness, without the power to control darkness, even if you gather all the darkness of the Void in front of you, you're nothing but floating scum.”
Beside the face, Little Dark Source, cradling Locke, slowly surfaced, speaking toward Ange, “Master, please allow me to handle a private matter.”
This term 'Master,' Little Dark Source called out especially loudly.
