Chapter 1275: Chapter 838: Is the King Chasing Someone to Chop? Chapter 1275: Chapter 838: Is the King Chasing Someone to Chop? Two months later, Ange suddenly stopped and said, “It's full.”
The nearly dozing-off Abyssal Big Mouth jolted awake, looked up in a daze, and mumbled, “Oh, it's full, not a bad pace. Although it's much slower than mine, it's pretty normal. After all, this isn't the power you're familiar with. Back in the day, ah…”
Abyssal Big Mouth boasted shamelessly; although boasting with its words, it was still quite shocked inside. However, after a full two months, its surprise had settled down and become routine.
Ange, at this moment, looked no different from two months before, even the Chaos Mist around him had become denser. But looking outward, one could see a succession of Chaos Spirit Angels, arranged radiantly in the surrounding void, flapping their wings vigorously every few hundred meters apart.
The airflow generated by each individual Chaos Spirit Angel's wings was weak, but as they lined up and flapped them in a special way, the 'line' of mist was continuously accelerated and propelled toward the center at greater speed.
With Ange as the center, the Chaos Spirit Angels formed these 'lines' that extended outward, greatly speeding up the mist's convergence toward the center.
What they could see was merely the mist gathering, but what was invisible were the Dark Elements also converging, then being transformed into jets and pouring into the Abyss Ball with a whoosh.
Seeing the speed, Abyssal Big Mouth knew the Abyss Ball would soon be full. But as the mist replenished itself, the surrounding fog did not diminish, and so Abyssal Big Mouth failed to realize that, besides the Dark Element, much more Chaos Mist had also disappeared.
This was the most Abyssal Mist Ange had ever harvested because he broke through the limitations of the Abyss's devouring nature and enlarged the absorption range countless times with the help of the Chaos Spirit Angels.
This was not only an expansion of the absorption area but also an enhancement of the replenishment area; Dark Elements and mist from other places could now supplement it over a much larger range.
With the Chaos Mist present, Ange felt he could quietly grow his crops and stay here for a while. To his surprise, after only two months, the Abyss Ball was already full, unexpectedly small.
It was probably the first time anyone had ever complained that the Abyss Ball was too small.
The Abyss Ball, which had transformed from the previous gaping hole that devoured light, was now the size of a watermelon, a solid-looking Energy Sphere. Perhaps because it was full, it no longer swallowed the surrounding light, and its boundary was visible to the naked eye.
“Is this the Abyss Ball?” Anthony examined it carefully several times, finding no special clues, but he intercepted Abyssal Big Mouth's reaching hand:
“Lord Abyss, this sphere took our lord two months to fill. It's best if our lord holds on to it.”
Abyssal Big Mouth was taken aback, “But the Abyss Ball is mine.”
“The bag holding the Gold Coins does not decide who owns the Gold Coins,” Anthony said with a smile.
“But… but you won't know how to use it, right?” Abyssal Big Mouth felt that something was amiss but didn't know how to argue at the moment.
Anthony smiled and said, “Is it difficult? Perhaps Lord Abyss could teach us how to use this Abyss Ball? I believe it won't be too hard.”
Abyssal Big Mouth took a deep breath, the light around dimmed slightly, and then it nodded with forced nonchalance.
After all, it was just an Abyss Ball. If needed, it could make a few more. Considering this, the Dark Elements inside indeed seemed more valuable, having taken over two months of a Primordial Body's time.
“First do this, then throw it out,” Abyssal Big Mouth taught everyone the method, which was simple, but it added a warning at the end, “Make sure to throw it far away, and don't toss it near any people, or the Dark Elements it releases will destroy everything.”
“Oh? Destroy everything? Even your main body can be destroyed?” Seeing Abyssal Big Mouth's sudden change of color, Anthony then said with a laugh, “Just kidding, just kidding. If it can even destroy your main body, then can't we use the Abyss Ball to attack the Void Will? Is the Void Will tougher than your main body?”
Anthony's words contained several traps, but the irritated Abyssal Big Mouth didn't catch them, just angrily said, “Then you need to make sure you're hitting its main body. Hit the wrong target, and it will be on guard, and you'll never be able to use this method to rescue the Undead Ruler again.”
“Oh, I understand, let's pack it up, Lord,” said Anthony.
Ange did not put it into the Dimensional Space but tossed the Abyss Ball to Little Sapling. Little Sapling cooed and reached out with its True Leaf, hugging the Abyss Ball. When the leaves weren't enough, it started growing vines until the Abyss Ball was securely wrapped up.
By the time the tendrils had unfurled again, the Abyss Ball had disappeared, and no one knew where it had been stashed away.
Big Mouth watched Little Sapling with envy, “This is a Void Tree, isn't it? You actually have a Void Tree.”
“Two of them,” Ange said.
This unexpected remark made Big Mouth pause in confusion, but once it understood, it immediately became jealous, “Each world can only grow one Void Tree. It's still small now, but once it grows up and symbioses with you, you will possess the power to uphold an entire world like a Void Tree.”
Ange cocked his head, about to say something, when Anthony suddenly burst into hearty laughter, “Hahaha, Little Sapling is a treasure to all of us, Lord Abyss, perhaps we should first discuss the timing for releasing the Abyss Ball. Where is the Undead Ruler trapped, and what's the situation like?”
While asking, Anthony pulled Big Mouth aside.
Negris took the opportunity to pull Ange aside as well, whispering, “Don't blab everything, Big Mouth isn't our ally. It's only reluctantly cooperating with us because it wants to kill the Void Will.”
“Oh,” Ange nodded, then looked at Little Sapling, puzzled, “Uphold the world?”
Little Sapling spread its True Leaves, Yaya–Yaya!
Everything was ready, the Abyss Ball was filled, and just before they set off for the place where the Undead Ruler and Dark Origin were trapped, something awkward happened.
“The… the position seems to have drifted; they're not in the original place anymore,” Big Mouth said awkwardly.
“What do you mean? They left?” Negris asked, confused.
“Not exactly, they drifted. The entire Void is constantly moving. Even if you stay still, the position changes, and months have passed–they are no longer where they were,” Big Mouth explained awkwardly.
Anthony was speechless; such a basic error had been overlooked. This Big Mouth really wasn't reliable, “So what now? Do we split up and search?”
Big Mouth awkwardly explained, “If we split up and find them, how do we tell the others?”
This was deep within the Chaos Mist, where the tide had not yet stopped; even those with Soul Contact couldn't send messages if they were too far apart–once they separated, it was very likely they would never find each other again.
“So what do we do? Are we just going to fly around like headless flies and hope for luck?”
“It seems, probably, most likely, that's all we can do. What's a fly?”
“It's a kind of stupid thing that grinds its face and can twist its own head off.”
“Twist its own head off? That's stupid enough, but why do I feel like you're insulting me?”
“How could that be? Lord Abyss, you're overthinking it.”
A meticulously laid plan had stumbled over such a simple error, and Anthony couldn't help but become a bit agitated, making a few sarcastic remarks. Ange, however, suddenly pointed in a certain direction: “Over there.”
Sometime without notice, Ange's new wings had unfolded, flapping gently like gossamer, capturing the faintest fluctuations of Dark Element in the Void.
Quietly following the direction indicated by Ange, the group moved stealthily forward, soon noticing that the Chaos Mist ahead grew thinner.
They crept closer and came to a completely fog-free void, where from a distance, they saw a massive concentration of Dark Element being relentlessly chopped at by the Undead Ruler with a large scythe, emitting furious roars.
Hey, something's not right about this scene. Wasn't the King supposed to be trapped? It feels more like the King is the one chasing others down.
