Chapter 1254: Chapter 817: Emptying the Consciousness Space Chapter 1254: Chapter 817: Emptying the Consciousness Space “Unfortunately, it's not possible because the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms is too large,” Ange explained, “trying to manifest it all at once would cause it to fragment piece by piece and ultimately shatter into pieces. It would be hard to tell if I was manifesting it or merely dismantling the tree.”
“Is that so?” Negris said with a hint of regret, abandoning his brilliant idea.
While the others were still nibbling on the Fruit of Consciousness, Ange spoke to Negris, “Control it.”
As he spoke, he displayed the Light Fist Cover on his fist.
“Are you asking me to control these consciousness light lines wrapped around me?” Negris inquired.
Ange nodded and as he spoke, the light on his fist slowly spread to his arm, extending from his fist to encompass his entire body, ultimately covering him like armor.
“It looks quite nice, doesn't it?” Negris exclaimed in surprise. The armor, formed from the combined consciousness light lines, looked like a layer of multicolored light floating over his body, brilliantly radiant with a strangely beautiful aesthetic.
As long as it looks good, Negris seriously set his mind to it, attempting to control the Consciousness Body on his back to cover his own body.
This obviously wasn't an easy task, at least not for Negris, who struggled for a long time without success.
On the other hand, Anthony, Little Zombie, and Little Angel finished their fruits first and manifested their own Consciousness Bodies.
Little Angel's Consciousness Body was a six-winged Giant Angel, the Little Zombie's was a heavily armored zombie wielding a hoe, and Anthony's naturally was that of the Pope of Light.
After manifesting their Consciousness Bodies, they followed Ange's guidance to let the Consciousness Bodies cover their physical forms, merging into one.
In this precise control, everyone was much more skilled than Negris and quickly completed the integration.
The resplendent Anthony, radiating multicolored light, flexed his limbs in hesitation and said, “It's a magical feeling. I feel like I've grown larger; it is me, and I am it. If my Consciousness Body had six legs, I'd be able to feel all six right now.”
“Arrgh!”
Little Angel and Little Zombie cried out in unison, agreeing with Anthony's statement.
Finally finishing his integration, Negris immediately experienced what Anthony described: “It feels like I've transferred my soul into a new body.”
“Exactly, that's the feeling,” Anthony agreed.
Despite it being just a merger of Consciousness Bodies, it felt like switching to a new body. The Consciousness Body was intangible, yet it could replace the sensory perceptions of the real body–an incredible phenomenon.
Everyone completed the integration, and Awuli, who had been impatiently waiting, urged, “Are you done yet? Hurry up.”
The group continued towards the crown of the tree and found another type of fruit there, this one the size of a fist and resembling an apple. Ange manifested a few and let Negris try them first to ensure there were no adverse effects before letting Anthony and Little Zombie eat.
After eating, Little Zombie cried out a few times and then spat it out, the fruit having no effect on him.
After eating, Anthony carefully savored the sensation and slowly exclaimed, “I feel full, not in a stuffed way, but in a way that's filled with energy.”
Negris, puzzled, asked, “Is there a difference?”
“Yes, have you ever eaten white mud? It makes your stomach feel hard and leaves you powerless, eventually leading to death by overeating. The other kind is like drinking Essence Liquid but with a greater sense of fullness. This fruit can really satiate you.” Anthony explained.
Negris curled his lips. “You make it sound like you've eaten white mud before, can only fill your stomach, huh? Isn't that pretty much like elf beans?”
“I have eaten it several times. When there was famine, food was truly scarce, so I mixed white mud with food, sawdust, leather shoes, wild grasses to make dry provisions, searching for the most suitable mixture that would keep people alive without killing them. I ate a lot of it back then and nearly stuffed myself to death,” Anthony said nonchalantly.
“…Sometimes I really don't get you. You're clearly not the compassionate type. Black-hearted godman would be more like it. Why are you so eager to rescue and aid in disasters?” Negris commented hopelessly.
Anthony shrugged. “It's probably like how adults farm. Everything's growing fine, but then someone has to burn a patch of it. I climbed up from little priest to archbishop, trying to expand my reach and keep everyone plump and healthy, but some people just have to disrupt it, killing all the civilians. Doesn't that make my hard work pointless?”
Before Negris could say anything, Ange nodded empathically and murmured, “Dare to burn my field, Turus, angry.”
Negris facepalmed. Turus was already reduced to ashes, yet he kept being whipped posthumously. If the demons are all extinct, go to hell to settle scores with Turus.
“Also, I feel like the fruit is nourishing my body; some of my old injuries seem to be healing,” Anthony suddenly added.
“You still have old injuries? You drink essence liquid like water, use Purification on your face, Holy Light Technique for lighting, and you still have old injuries? Your body isn't that old, how could it have aged?” Negris questioned.
“It's just the scars from when my body was cultivated; it grew too fast, and my belly, buttocks, and other areas have some stretch marks and scars. After my body settled, these lines and marks were treated as normal parts of the body, so even Healing Spell and Purification would only restore them to the state when my body settled, not erase them. I was too lazy to use Freckle Removal Technique to clear them, so I still have them, but now they're gone.”
“Let me see.”
“See my ass.”
“So, the fruit not only nourishes your body to its perfect state but also fills you up?” Negris summarized.
“Nourishing might just be a side effect; I suspect it has also extended my lifespan. Lord, hit me with the Instant Death Halo,” Anthony requested.
Ange extended a finger and touched the back of Anthony's hand.
The skin on the back of the hand slowly aged, taking a while to show even a slight wrinkle. Ange estimated. “It's extended, by five thousand years.”
“Pfft–five thousand years? A single fruit can extend life by five thousand years? That's ridiculous,” Negris exclaimed in shock.
Ange shook his head. “Temporarily.”
“Temporarily? Still nourishing? Just one fruit and it's that powerful?” Negris couldn't believe it.
Anthony was unfazed. “Pretty normal. The Fruit of Life can extend an elf's lifespan by a thousand years, making them long-lived creatures. A fruit from the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms extending lifespans by several thousands or tens of thousands of years isn't strange, but like the Fruit of Life, the first one works the best, and eating more is useless. Too bad it doesn't mean much to me.”
Anthony was, in a sense, immortal already; even if he died, he could reincarnate at any time.
Although the fruit was miraculous, it was, upon calculation, far less significant to Ange and others compared to the Consciousness Fruit. Nonetheless, Ange manifested a batch and stashed them in Dimensional Space for creatures like Lightning to eat.
Big Cat Fetti, Havilok, and Starfire Creation Little Devil each received one Consciousness Fruit.
Finally, keeping his promise, Ange placed his hand on Awuli, emptying the entire Consciousness Space, except for the Divine Tree itself.
At the entrance of the space, they pushed the corpse of the two-headed snake out, left the space, closed the entrance, and then Ange laid his hands on the Void Stele, pressing the stele into the Dimensional Space.
“Ah? How come you're taking over my space?”
