Chapter 1219: 783 Chapter 1219: 783 No one could kill at will in front of Ange, as a flash of sword light passed by, the Guardian Barrier enveloped Amelia.
Clang! The Spirit of Faith looked astonished at the barrier that had suddenly appeared before it, incredulously poking at it with its sharp end before swiftly retreating.
Seeing Ange appear suddenly in front of Amelia, the Void Clan's expressions grew tense, and they armored the Spirit of Faith onto their bodies one after another. One of them turned around to issue a sharp alarm call, which traveled deep into the Space Passage.
“Armorization? Why does it somewhat resemble a Holy Spirit?” Negris suddenly asked.
Anthony replied, “It is the Holy Spirit, the only difference is that the Holy Spirit doesn't absorb the life force of its followers, nor does it force them to offer up their faith. Moreover, the Holy Spirit has been modified to appear independently as a combat weapon. But no matter the differences, both are essentially creatures of faith.”
Negris nodded to show he understood, then asked, “So, what do we do now?”
“What else can we do?” Anthony said helplessly, “Of course, we're going to level them. How dare they defy divine might, inexplicably so. I was already thinking of leaving.”
At this, Anthony turned to Copper Spear to say, “Ten barrels of strong liquor and a piece of Thunder Titan fragment, can you capture that Hole God for me?”
Copper Spear took a deep breath, blowing his beard aflutter, and pondered with a serious expression.
It's no wonder that everyone associated him with Copper Hammer, as this Dwarf god was an old slicker, never speaking a word of truth from the beginning.
Despite appearing wholly fixated on liquor, it was all an act to hoodwink Anthony, hoping to use him to take down the Hole God, little did he know Anthony was not to be deceived.
Had the Void Tribe not inexplicably attacked Amelia, Ange and his companions would probably have already left.
But now, Anthony offered such a deal that made Copper Spear realize the other party had long seen through his intentions, turning the tables with a condition he found hard to refuse.
In fact, liquor wasn't a big deal; one could get past it with a bit of endurance. Having been here for over four hundred years, Copper Spear had hardly drunk any liquor, but that Thunder fragment was something he couldn't refuse.
The Thunder fragment was none other than the iron shell of the Thunder Titan, condensed with Thunder Power and capable of fully unleashing the true power of the Thunder God.
Moreover, such a fragment was particularly suitable for Copper Spear's use. With a hammer in one hand and the Thunder fragment as a shield in the other, his combat strength could instantly soar.
Hesitating, Anthony smiled slightly, “You'd better decide quickly, any hesitation and there'll be no need for you to act.”
Copper Spear was slightly startled and glanced towards Ange, only to see Amelia's kinsmen now bound into a mass by invisible tendrils.
Although they were armored with the Spirit of Faith, they appeared like unarmed children in front of Ange, easily toyed with.
Ange used Spirit Touch to drag them over, tied them up tight, lifted them in front of him, then reached out and tore at their bodies, ripping the Spirit of Faith turned armor right off.
The Spirit of Faith, forcefully separated from its host, slowly reverted from the armor form into the appearance of an Elf with big ears, Ange's thoughts enveloping the small Elf.
This cute-looking, big-eared Elf immediately revealed a fierce appearance, its large, gaping mouth full of sharp teeth, attempting to bite at Ange.
Ange didn't move, letting it bite into his arm, behind him the Ring of Balance appeared, flashing incessantly, clearly weighing something.
After weighing, Ange tore off one of its legs and burnt it with Holy Fire.
In this manner, Ange began dissecting the Spirit of Faith on the spot, seemingly conducting some sort of comparative experiment.
Copper Spear finally understood what Anthony meant; any slower, and Ange would have taken care of it himself, with no need for Copper Spear's involvement.
“Alright, it's on me. But I want the Thunder fragment first, so I can better unleash my power,” the red-haired one said.
Anthony flew to Ange's side and whispered a few words to him; Ange pulled out two items, one naturally was the Thunder fragment, and the other was something not many saw, a rather petite item.
Copper Spear took the Thunder fragment, placed his hand over the concave side, and Thunder Power surged forth. Amidst a crackling of electric sparks, the fragment extended into a gauntlet that clung tightly to Copper Spear's arm, like a perfectly fitting full-body shield.
Copper Spear always maintained the form of the Thunder King, a giant standing three meters tall, and the Thunder fragment fitted just right in his hand.
Ange had crushed over a dozen Thunder Titans in the Master Plane; there were fragments in such abundance that they were practically inexhaustible. If they ever did run out, dragging those Titans to the Thunder Area and electrifying them for a few months would regrow a large number.
He swung the shield a few times and found that it did not affect his movements, Copper Spear excitedly said, “I'll go fetch that false god. Do you want him dead or alive?”
Anthony smiled slightly, “I want him seventy percent alive.”
Copper Spear's face froze: Seventy percent alive? Could there also be thirty percent dead? Damn it, it's so exhausting talking with these Light Swindlers. Do they mean to tell me that judgment is the power of the God of Balance? Anyway, I've got the Thunder Shard now. Should I just take the opportunity to slip away?
Muttering to himself, Copper Spear then darted off in a flash.
A little snake poked its head out from behind Anthony and asked in a low voice, “How should we deal with it?”
“Follow him, and bring both him and another god back,” Anthony whispered back.
“Got it,” the Serpent of Misfortune replied with ease. Then it meandered forward, slowly fading into the Void.
Copper Spear hadn't gone far when he suddenly ran into an oncoming horde of the Void Clan's army. He shouted at them, “Chase them, the enemy is about to escape, I'll go get the sled first!”
Then he bypassed the army and went deep into the passage.
Just as Thunder Spear had said, these Void Clan members were all raised under his watchful eye; every one of them recognized him. Hearing his words, they didn't suspect anything and went straight towards Ange's group. Only when they got close did they begin to wonder: Where was the enemy's retreat?
Too lazy to do it himself, Ange started pulling people out, starting with Starfire. Just as he was about to pull out the Little Demon King, Starfire interrupted, “Sir, there's no need for that. Leave it to me. How much do you think they're worth?”
Without waiting for Ange's approval, she drifted towards the oncoming Void army.
With irritation, Negris shouted, “We need them alive.”
Then, turning to Anthony, he complained, “Look what you've done. You've turned an Ancient God into this–always thinking about money. Is it that hard to raise a cat? Look at Big Cat; it's already making its own money.”
Compared to Starfire's Little Cat, Negris thought Big Cat was much more pleasing to the eye.
The Void Clan did not recognize Starfire. When they saw a delicate and beautiful woman drifting towards them, they sternly reprimanded her, “Invader, do not resist in vain. Lay down your weapons and surrender peacefully, and we will guarantee your safety.”
Starfire looked around and said in confusion, “Weapons? Oh, are you talking about this? The Brilliant Starfire of the Utmost Dark Void.”
As she spoke, Starfire held up a sphere of starlight that, once it left her palm, exploded outwards, expanding like a large net opening up.
The Void Clan may not recognize Starfire, but that didn't mean others didn't–especially when she unleashed her signature move.
She hadn't used this tactic in a long time, because as her strength grew, she faced enemies of the level of Ancient Gods, against whom the Brilliant Starfire of the Utmost Dark Void was useless, breaking no defenses.
However, against ordinary individuals, it was more useful than any Magic Crystal Sandblasting Gun.
Faced with this invincible Ancient God Hunter, the Spirits of Faith parasitizing the Void Clan members, for the most part, didn't think twice before detaching and fleeing.
This was the most foolish choice they could make because Negris had wanted them alive. If they stayed in their hosts, they might have lived longer, but now that they'd separated, Starfire didn't need to be polite anymore and lunged forward.
As she lunged, the entire Void sparkled with dazzling, brilliant colors.
Countless points of light streaked through the darkness, weaving around the Void Clan members, exploding the Spirits of Faith on contact.
The remaining Void Clan members stood dumbfounded, in a daze, not knowing what to do.
Starfire continued to drift forward, approaching a Spirit of Faith that hadn't left its host.
The Spirit of Faith revealed its vicious face and, threatening with a sharp point formed from its arm, screamed, “Don't come any closer! Or else I'll kill him!”
Starfire, in a dilemma, looked back at Ange.
Ange cocked his head, and Anthony quickly whispered a phrase. Ange flicked his hand, and a Holy Light Missile pierced through the host's chest, directly blasting the heart to pieces.
With the hostage gone, Starfire rushed over and grabbed the Spirit of Faith, smiling as she said, “Oh, so you dare to threaten me? I'll extract your consciousness and seal it in a toilet bowl.”
