Chapter 1192: Chapter 756: Can You Help Me Have a Child? Chapter 1192: Chapter 756: Can You Help Me Have a Child? “Not good, it's an Iron Scale Cleaner; how did it wake up? Everyone be careful, its size and defense are extremely strong, even Goddess Starfire might not be able to injure it.” As soon as Garritt heard this voice, his ears perked up instantly.
Starfire can't hurt it? How is that possible? The World-destroying Starfire of Goddess Starfire can even harm the actual body of Abyssal Big Mouth; how could some Iron Scale Cleaner be invulnerable?
Could it be that those who don't recognize Starfire are bluffing? Should we let Starfire smash it? Everyone looked towards Goddess Starfire.
Unexpectedly, the usually proud and haughty Starfire didn't respond to everyone's gaze with anger. Instead, she awkwardly avoided their eyes and only when she couldn't dodge any longer did she say annoyed, “It's not bad, just a bit ugly and hard, why hit it?”
Oh~ Everyone suddenly realized, with Starfire acting like this, it was clear she had indeed fought it and couldn't hurt it. Was there truly such a perverse creature that even World-destroying Starfire couldn't injure?
The shadow drew nearer, and Ange's vision, being farther-reaching, allowed him to clearly see the other's form, which made him suddenly tilt his head.
Negris quickly projected onto Ange's body and shared his vision, understanding immediately why Ange had tilted his head: “A conch?”
The so-called Iron Scale Cleaner approaching in the Void turned out to be a gigantic mollusk covered in an exoskeleton, its whole body enshrouded in large black scales, layered upon each other, even its soft parts coated in scales.
If you removed all that flesh and scales, leaving only the shell, it would become the Conch Plane that everyone was very familiar with.
“This is a conch? Are you saying the Conch Plane occupied by the Shays is actually its shell?” Negris exclaimed in surprise.
“A conch? You mean the gastropod mollusk that lives in Plane oceans? But if you use Plane creatures for comparison, shouldn't it be more like a snail?” Dimali said in confusion.
A snail? Negris carefully observed and compared, indeed, if it wasn't for preconceived notions, this Iron Scale Cleaner was more like a snail. So, they had all been mistaken, the Conch Plane shouldn't be called Conch Plane, but instead Snail Plane.
But if the Snail Plane is actually the shell of these Iron Scale Cleaners, then where did the scales go?
While everyone harbored a bellyful of doubts, the Iron Scale Cleaner finally shuffled closer enough for everyone to clearly see, though this distance was actually still very far because it was just so massive.
Its shell was bigger than the Snail Plane, covered in thick iron scales, and with the soft parts included, it appeared several times larger than the Snail Plane. On the shell's scales, there were even some man-made structures, and vague signs of creatures moving about could be seen.
Such an immense creature slowly approaching you felt like a Plane crashing down on you; the oppressive feeling was too much.
Anthony quickly said, “Dear Mr. Iron Scale Cleaner, I can't be certain that our Lord is the Ancient Godlight you mentioned. There seems to be a great disparity in the names we use here. Could you please elaborate for us?”
The soft body of the Iron Scale Cleaner started to tremble, and with the trembling, a voice arose, “Oh, Ancient Godlight, that which has always existed from ancient times, the only Light in the Void. Didn't you mention 'Light'? Then it must be the Ancient Godlight, it's the only Light in the Void, all light is derived from it.”
“Pff–The only Light in the Void? Did you eavesdrop on our conversation?” Negris was shocked; wasn't that what Anthony had previously said to Ange?
“What do you mean eavesdropping?” the Iron Scale Cleaner replied blankly, “I didn't eavesdrop. You were shouting so loudly, saying 'do you believe in Light?', so I heard it.”
“Not that sentence, the one before that,” Negris said.
“What previous sentence? The only Light in the Void? Did you say that too?” the Iron Scale Cleaner exclaimed in surprise.
“Yes, the God of Light is the only Light in the Void,” Negris said.
The Iron Scale Cleaner hastened to reply, “That's right, you are the inheritors of the Ancient Godlight; I've finally found you…”
Negris and Anthony swiftly exchanged glances, and an ominous hunch hit them simultaneously–this tone, why did it sound so much like passing the buck?
Sure enough, the Iron Scale Cleaner's soft body suddenly stretched out, removing a scale from its back shell with buildings on it and then slowly pushed them towards them, saying as it did so, “Great, these Divine Light Apostles can finally be returned to you.”
Anthony quickly interjected, “Stop! Wait a moment! What Divine Light Apostles? We don't know any Divine Light Apostles. Hold on, let's clarify what's going on.”
What 'Divine Light Apostles' and 'returning to you'; Anthony felt more and more like he was being passed the buck, a huge buck at that–who in the world would know any Divine Light Apostles.
Anthony could be sure, the God of Light had nothing to do with what was being called Ancient Godlight; just because of a single phrase 'the only Light in the Void', the Iron Scale Cleaner was about to dump Divine Light Apostles on them without a second thought.
What kind of joke was this? If it were something good, would that snail be in such a rush to throw it away? Who knew if there wasn't some trap laid on it?
A crisp voice sounded from the scale removed by the Iron Scale Cleaner: “Exactly, exactly, we don't know…”
The words cut off abruptly as if some force had silenced the voice.
This made Anthony even more certain there was a problem. He yelled loudly, “Everyone, be on guard, prepare to retreat, Garritt, watch the surroundings.”
Ange shifted his focus back to the Iron Scale Cleaner.
The soft body of the Iron Scale Cleaner twisted unnaturally, saying hurriedly, “Don't do this; I mean no harm. Stop staring at me like that; your gaze is strange. Okay, my body won't move anymore; I'll send a projection to negotiate with you.”
Done talking, the Iron Scale Cleaner stretched its soft body energetically, the front end elongating a fair bit until it formed a thin 'line' that kept stretching until the 'line' snapped at the end.
The small piece of soft body that broke off transformed into a snail about one meter in diameter, whooshed into the air, and stopped right in front of Ange and the others.
Everyone was startled by the speed of the snail–this… this… was way too fast.
Such a small snail didn't feel oppressive, and the distant main body also halted, showing enough sincerity. It seemed this Iron Scale Cleaner truly had no ill intentions.
In that case, Anthony was quite happy to chat; he too was curious about what the Ancient Godlight and Divine Light Apostles were all about.
But before he could speak, the Iron Scale Cleaner hesitated, looking at Ange and asking, “Who are you? Why is your gaze so odd?”
Odd? Ange tilted his head, puzzled.
“It's just… it's just…” the Iron Scale Cleaner fidgeted for a while before saying, “When you look at me, I feel like I want to have children. Are you able to help me have children?”
