Chapter 1189: Chapter 753: Like Something is Chasing Behind Chapter 1189: Chapter 753: Like Something is Chasing Behind It was a truly fruitful endeavor. Big Cat had exerted the strength of two tigers to evenly divide the compressed space into ten portions and he had then meticulously sealed eight of these portions into the Star Realm Gem for temporary storage.
Hole Bug habitually shared its 'food' with the Dragon God, but it failed to realize that Ange could not digest such immense energy, or rather, could not digest it in a 'controllable' manner.
Transforming into a Chaos Skull, perhaps it could smash the compressed space, but could only absorb a fraction of the energy, with the rest going to waste. Moreover, even the small portion it could absorb would require transformation before it could be utilized.
Fortunately, Big Cat was there to harvest and store this compressed space, carrying it along for slow absorption later. After all the effort, taking a ten percent fee seemed quite reasonable.
Big Cat enlarged its body and bit towards one of the remaining two portions… to say “bit” is inaccurate, “held” would be better, as it couldn't bite through; its cheeks puffed out, making its already large face even bigger and rounder.
Ange also transformed into the Dragon God, reaching out to touch the remaining portion.
To anyone else, this compressed space would be meaningless, but only the Time-Space Dragon, such as the Dragon God, could fully utilize the 'spatial' level of this power.
Of course, Big Cat could too.
Once touched, Ange immediately understood the principles and methods of using this power, knowledge that was etched into his bloodline by the Dragon God.
He clenched his fist forward vigorously, and the area he reached out toward immediately solidified, causing the compressed space to disintegrate and melt within the space Ange had solidified.
As the compressed space merged, Ange felt a very familiar power crazily rushing into his body, causing his neck to crack and lengthen, his back muscles to snap and widen, his spine to stretch, and his entire body size to enlarge by two sizes.
“Eh? The compatibility is so high, no wonder it said you used to exchange food often,” Negris remarked in surprise.
Energy is very peculiar; even the same Fire Element can be violent, gentle, or intensely hot. Without enough compatibility, one wouldn't talk about absorption, being uninjured alone would be fortunate.
Similarly, the Breath of Death can nourish the soul when quiet and destroy vitality when stirred…
The compressed space created by Hole Bug, Ange could absorb it directly without any conversion, indicating a high compatibility with this power, truly deserving of being a 'meal-buddy' who often exchanged food in the past.
Ange moved his body a bit to adapt, then took out another piece of stored compressed space, violently crushed it, and slapped it onto Negris.
Negris' body and the surrounding space were immediately 'frozen.'
“What are you doing? So strange, as soon as you hit me, I felt everything stop, then I got disconnected. What is this thing?” Negris projected onto Ange, asking confusedly.
Ange said, “Time-Space Barrier.”
“Hiss– Time-Space Barrier? You can use the Time-Space Barrier? Isn't that supposed to be a Divine Technique of a complete Dragon God?”
Although Negris couldn't inherit the memories of the Dragon God, much of the Dragon God's grandeur was handed down like family epics, prioritizing the recording of ancestral glory; shameful moments were omitted altogether.
Ange scratched his head and amended, “Time-Space Half-Barrier.”
Well, even improvising the name on the spot, but even a 'half' barrier wasn't something Ange could execute currently. It was an absolute barrier solidifying time and space, unbreakable without a disruptive force exceeding what it could withstand.
If unbreakable, it would persist indefinitely, unlike a Magic Shield that would vanish.
After Ange's exasperated explanation, Negris finally understood why he could employ this absolute barrier–he was using the compressed space from the Hole Bug.
“What's the use of this thing, getting sealed inside only to suffer hits and not be able to retaliate? Just absorb all the power from the compressed space, don't waste it–stop!” Negris was speaking when Ange suddenly punched the Time-Space Half-Barrier, startling Negris into a scream, for its body was contained within.
With a muffled 'thud,' the Time-Space Half-Barrier remained intact, unmoving.
Ange suddenly let loose a barrage of punches, continuously hammering the Time-Space Half-Barrier, striking two to three hundred punches in one breath, and yet, the barrier remained utterly unmoved, not even consuming energy like a Magic Shield or a Plane Barrier would.
Everyone finally showed visible astonishment–Ange, transformed into the Muscle Dragon God, couldn't even budge it?
“It's almost as if your attacks did no damage at all,” Anthony exclaimed in shock.
“Right, it is invulnerable; the absolute barrier only has two states, broken or unbroken. There is no third state, which means you can't wear it down.” Negris said.
Ange didn't believe it. He quickly backed away, transformed into a Chaos Skull, and forcefully swung the Whip of Instant.
Everyone had already retreated far away, watching anxiously and expectantly as Ange swung his whip, including Negris.
Although it was his body inside, exploring the limits of the time-space barrier was obviously more important. Even if it was damaged, it was worth it, as the body could be cultivated again.
When the Whip of Instant struck the time-space barrier, there was no sound, no light, no impact; it was silent, and only the whipped part exploded instantly.
Everyone was truly stunned. The Whip of Instant, which could kill an Ancient God with one strike, couldn't break through the time-space barrier?
It seemed this was Ange's most powerful attack at the moment. Did that mean that the absolute barrier he created, even he himself couldn't break it?
Not only did it not break, but it also didn't even budge, as if all of time and space had been sealed upon it.
“We may have underestimated the Primordial God,” Anthony murmured, “The simplified barrier created by the Lord using the power of the Hole Bug is already too tough for us to break, and the Abyssal Big Mouth is also a Primordial God. Could it possess some abilities that we can't comprehend?”
Ange scratched his head and flew up to the time-space barrier, silently pondering.
Seeing him like this, Negris couldn't help but ask, “What's up? Do you have another way? Isn't the Whip of Instant already your most powerful move? The whip that was difficult to repair just exploded again. How many times can you fix it with the remaining material?”
Ange replied, “Two times.”
While saying this, he brought out the Death Scythe and slashed it down on the time-space barrier. Clang! The scythe rang out crisply, but the barrier was undamaged.
Ange raised the scythe again. Behind him, two shadows appeared, the Undead Gods. They also brought out their Death Scythes, moving along with Ange's motion, slashing down together.
Their shadows merged, the scythes also converged, and the moment Ange's scythe touched the time-space barrier, the Undead Gods' scythes also hit the same spot.
Whoosh–the scythe blades swept across the time-space barrier, cutting through the Bronze Dragon's body inside, pulling out a burst of Soul Fire.
Negris was dumbfounded. The absolute barrier that even the Whip of Instant couldn't explode was broken by the Death Scythe?
Well, not broken exactly; the absolute barrier was intact, but the soul of the Bronze Dragon inside had been pulled out. Was that considered broken or not?
Ange nodded in satisfaction, put away the scythe, and took out various supplements to replenish himself, then inhaled the breath of the Serpent of Misfortune, feeling a shiver run through his body.
After this process, Ange transformed into the Dragon God again, placed his hand on the time-space barrier, and squeezed hard; immediately, the space around the barrier solidified.
Thus, the originally robust absolute barrier started to crumble, merging into the space solidified by Ange. When Ange dismissed the space solidification, the time-space barrier also disappeared with it, leaving only the Bronze Dragon's body.
“It's a relief nothing happened.” After Ange stuffed the Soul Fire back in, Negris quickly projected himself over and examined it carefully, sighing deeply.
Ange also took the opportunity to start repairing the Whip of Instant. He had plucked many roots from the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms, but there wasn't much hair from the Hole Bug; only enough for two more repairs.
However, next time he wouldn't whip something as hard as the absolute barrier. Material was scarce; he had to be economical.
Just as he finished repairing the Whip of Instant, Ange suddenly looked up and gazed into the void towards the Chaos Plane.
He saw an Ancient God with four legs and double scythe arms leading two long-shaped Ancient Gods, dragging a broken Plane at high speed.
Behind them, a dozen Ancient Gods were pushing the Blood-colored Abyss, also moving swiftly.
Further back, three or four Ancient Gods pulled from the front, a bunch of shadows pushed from behind, speeding the Pink Abyss and Abyss of Fallen along as well.
With the Abyssal Big Mouth drawn away by Ange, the others had a chance to escape safely. Under the guidance of Soul Contact, they precisely located Ange's position and came to meet up.
Yet their formation, why did it look like something was chasing them?
