Chapter 1180: Chapter 744: Go Back, Revive It Chapter 1180: Chapter 744: Go Back, Revive It Watching layers of porous rock peeled back to reveal the glowing green Core of the Divine Tree, Ange was distracted.
“Where are you looking? What are you staring at?” Negris knew Ange's attention had wandered as soon as he saw him standing still. Annoyed, Negris flew over and rapidly waved his claws in front of Ange.
Blocking his view, Ange pushed him aside and pointed to the flaked rock layers, “Bedrock.”
In fact, Ange had speculated about this when observing the glowing ferns, although it hadn't been as obvious as it was now with the peeled layers.
Negris felt like coughing blood; he grabbed Ange's head and turned it toward the God Tree Core, “I told you to look at the tree core! Such a huge one right there, and you're looking at the bedrock? Don't you have enough places to plant already?”
Only then did Ange reluctantly look at the tree core. Then, he turned his head towards the Little Sapling on his shoulder. Sensing his gaze, the Little Sapling quickly shook its leaves energetically: Full–full–
It seemed the Little Sapling could no longer digest any more. Ange only needed to pull out a seed, throw it to the ground, water it, and the seed would immediately grow rapidly into a Tree Herder.
The God of Life's voice rang out hazily from the Tree Herder, “Are you looking for me…? I'm still organizing the roots. What do you need? Eh… have you found the joint of the parent plant?”
The God of Life was busy organizing roots in the Blood-colored Abyss and hence did not follow them here. When he projected himself here, he immediately noticed the God Tree Cores.
“Is this already the main trunk?” Negris hurriedly asked.
The God of Life struggled as he brushed his leaves on his head while walking towards the tree core, “How do I explain this to you? You see all the trees, they have one trunk, roots at the bottom, and a crown at the top, right?”
“That's right.” Negris responded blankly.
“Have you ever thought about why we grow like this?” asked the God of Life, extending his arm to touch the God Tree Core. The branches extended, climbing onto the massive tree core.
Negris thought hard, not having questioned this before; the God of Life brought it up, so now he would think about it.
After pondering a while, Negris spoke, “It's because of gravity and sunlight. The larger the area of the tree crown, the more sunlight it can absorb. So trees inherently grow upwards to support the crown and grow as tall and thick as possible; that's why you all grow into this form.”
The God of Life nodded in agreement, “That's right; there's no sunlight here, thus the parent plant doesn't need to grow like us. It can grow freely, so there's no concept of a main trunk here, this is just a region where its life force is more concentrated.”
Negris got it and quickly changed his question, “So, is this the place where its life force is most concentrated?”
The God of Life didn't respond but continued extending his branches, kept on extending, and then 'bang'… something broke.
Everyone looked in surprise. The God of Life sheepishly scratched his head and said, “I can't control its power, better let Ange do it.”
Ange cocked his head.
“You put your hand on me, like this first, then like that, followed by an element conversion,” the God of Life instructed, gesturing here and there.
Following the God of Life's guidance, Ange placed his hand on his shoulder, and Divine Power surged forth.
The branches of the God of Life extended once more, and Ange suddenly felt a weight on his body as if the entire weight of the tree core was pressing down on him.
Ange straightened up sharply, and a shadow appeared behind him–an image of the God of Farming wearing pants and a conical hat, draped in a straw raincoat.
Ange only felt a momentary heaviness, but from the perspective of the onlookers, they saw a shockwave explode right where Ange was. The energy stirred by his hand churned everything into fragments, leaving only a ribbon of energy connecting Ange and the God Tree Core.
The originally dimly glowing God Tree Core slowly started to light up, and the shadow behind Ange became increasingly solidified.
A surge of information flooded into Ange's mind. Numerous images quickly flashed through his soul. All this information and imagery eventually converged into a giant orb of light floating in the void, held and supported by a significant 'tree'…
Ange, slightly dazed, came to his senses, looked up at the God Tree Core, then turned his head to look around.
Negris flew over cautiously, peering left and right. Seeing that Ange had indeed regained his senses, he asked, “How are you? What happened? How did you disperse the old tree?”
Ange looked around; indeed, he didn't see any trace ofApp the Tree Herder, but dispersed? So weak… But that was just a Tree Herder; maybe it couldn't withstand the force impact.
He picked another seed and threw it to the ground and watered it, growing another Tree Herder. These seeds of the Tree Herders were picked up from Dobinki.
According to the God of Life, the Tree Herders cultivated by Dobinki were without intelligence, ideal for serving as avatars. The God of Life himself couldn't cultivate such simple Tree People. When he needed an avatar, he could only grow one from the World Tree on the fly. If no World Tree was nearby, he was out of luck.
The Tree Herder grew rapidly. Negris asked again, “What's this about the God of Farming? How did you manifest it?”
God of Farming? Ange tilted his head.
Negris pointed strongly behind him. Ange turned his head and, indeed, saw the God of Farming wearing a straw hat and raincoat.
Compared to the previous shadow, the present God of Farming looked vivid, just like a real giant.
This wasn't the first time Ange had manifested a God Status. The two Gods of the Undead he often conjured were in an Undead state, so no matter how real, they were just two floating shadows.
But the God of Farming was completely different, solid as reality, indistinguishable from a true manifestation of a deity.
Ange thought, and the God of Farming immediately transformed into a wisp of smoke and entered his body. After closing his eyes and feeling it for a moment, he opened his eyes, and the shadow of the God of Farming reappeared behind him and gradually solidified.
Anthony marveled, “This deity's aura is quite similar to the Spring Breeze Druid. However, the attire is much like the lord of the farm from back then. If one were to say the farm lord was actually Your Majesty's embodiment, then this deity mixes the airs and attire of Spring Breeze and Your Majesty.”
“Hmm, in Ange's heart, only those two deserved to be this God of Farming. Before, Ange couldn't manifest the Planting God Statue. What did he do to the God Tree Core?” Negris muttered perplexedly.
Ange didn't know how to explain and agonized over it for a while before saying, “I saw, the Divine Tree, alive, surrounding a ball of light… a seal?”
Negris and Anthony looked at each other, not understanding.
Ange scratched his head and said, “Let's go back and revive it.”
