Chapter 1166: Chapter 730 is calling for help Chapter 1166: Chapter 730 is calling for help “Hey, you leveled up? How did that happen out of the blue? What did you do?” Negris asked in surprise.
When he had faced Dark Wing before, Ange had transformed into a Black Crystal Skeleton, withstood an Abyss Breath, and his whole body's black crystals had twinkled with starlight. But as the transformation's time limit expired, all the starlight receded to his little arm.
Essentially, only one of Ange's tiny arms had reached the level of Chaos Black Crystal. Now, both arms had become Chaos Black Crystal from the shoulders down.
“La.” Ange made a vague 'la' gesture, at a loss himself. He hadn't done anything, just woke those skeletons up.
“That's all it takes to level up? Then keep going, pull faster,” Negris urged.
With a loud boom, a large figure was slammed down from high in the sky, creating a huge crater.
At the center of the crater, Giraldo pushed himself up in horror and looked upwards, as broken stones scattered across the ground crept onto him.
The Little Angel was spinning her Earth Hammer in the sky, with Holy Light fiercely jetting from her back, propelling her straight down.
Giraldo roared, punching into the air. From the ground around him, countless stone pillars shot up, merging into a giant, sturdy spike aiming at the Little Angel.
Ange cocked his head to the side and resumed the pulling motion with his hands, saying as he pulled, “Build a house, quickly.”
Negris blinked, took a moment to understand the nonsensical statement, then burst into laughter, “Are you saying pulling him away to build a house would be quick? Quicker than when you built the arena?”
During the Star Burst Plane event, to host the seed contest, Ange had worked overnight to erect an arena. If Giraldo were to build houses, this method would certainly be an excellent way to make supporting pillars.
Little did he know, he was already on the enemy's radar to be hauled away for construction work. Giraldo's spikes of earth shattered, and he, situated among the debris, swung up a hammer formed of stone and smashed it against the Little Angel.
The Little Angel had just swung her Earth Hammer, her new strength not yet replenished, and was thrown off, half of her armor turning yellow.
After being catapulted dozens of meters away, the Little Angel flapped her wings, steadied herself, and glared angrily at Giraldo.
The Little Angel, accustomed to easily performing Holy Light Flash, found this battle particularly strenuous. Despite her overwhelming advantage, she couldn't deal a lethal blow to the enemy, so she roared at the Earth Hammer in frustration.
The Earth Hammer cried out in annoyance, “What? You're still not satisfied? You're already dominating the fight. What more do you want? I've got him pinned down for you. That's an Earth Demon, a Demon King. I'm forged from half a Demon Heart and Mithril Marrow, and that's not too shabby. Without me, you'd be the one getting beaten.”
“Argh!” The Little Angel, unconvinced, slung it onto her waist and started rummaging through her Spatial Bag.
“Life-saving Hammer? Why do you have the redeeming Life-saving Hammer? War God's Hammer? Kvada, how did you end up with the Dwarf's War God's Hammer? Hammer of Thunder? Kvada, the Titan's Hammer of Thunder? Hammer of Molten Fire? You have the Demon Lord's Hammer of Molten Fire too?” The Earth Hammer was dumbstruck by the array of items the Little Angel pulled out one by one.
Each time she drew an item, the Little Angel smashed once. Bang, bang, bang–a nonstop barrage, and finally, she drew the Great Angel's Staff and delivered a full-power Holy Light Flash. That settled it. Why all this fuss?
All that was left on the ground was a pile of stones.
The Earth Hammer wept, “My Demon Heart, my Demon Heart!”
“Argh!” The Little Angel shouted triumphantly, descending to pick up the hammers.
The Earth Hammer was speechless for a moment. The Little Angel was saying, 'I've been holding back for the sake of the Demon Heart. You're a hammer that's not doing its job. It's your fault it shattered.'
Having collected all the hammers but failing to find even a shard of the Demon Heart, the Earth Hammer cried urgently, “It's gone, it's gone. Don't let it escape. Swing me, swing me hard. Hit the ground with me, I'm going all out.”
The Little Angel shot into the sky then plunged back down, gripping the Earth Hammer tightly in both hands, and struck the ground solidly.
Boom! An impact wave exploded outwards, with the point of the hammer's impact as the center, the earth rose up in ripples that quickly spread in all directions.
The ripples reached about fifty meters when a two-meter-tall stone golem was blasted into the air, tumbling to the ground before getting up and fleeing in a panic.
The Earth Hammer had truly exerted its deadly force, not even pausing upon hitting the ground before it bounced back up, reaching the level of Little Angel's shoulder. It no longer required Little Ange to lift it, only needing to be spun and thrown.
Like a shot put, the Earth Hammer was thrown at the stone golem.
The stone golem, in a panic, stamped forward, raising walls of stone one after another behind it, but to no avail. The Earth Hammer, having unleashed its lethal power, smashed through three walls and struck the stone golem's back, shattering it to pieces.
Then it rolled in the air and landed with a thud on the rubble that had been the stone golem.
Negris was stunned, “The Earth Hammer can move on its own?”
Anthony was equally surprised, “Yes, I've never seen it move before.”
“No wonder Little Angel said it doesn't pull its weight; that damned hammer is too sly! I should give it to the Cave Dwarves to forge with.” Negris said indignantly.
The Earth Hammer's final strike seemed to have hit something. A stream of fresh red blood seeped from the ground, steadily drawn to the Earth Hammer, penetrating the patterns engrained in its body.
The magic patterns on the hammer's body were activated one by one by the blood. The Earth Hammer let out a wild laugh, “Whahaha, whahaha, the power of Earth, the power of Earth! I've leveled up, I've evolved, I am complete!”
The ground rumbled, and a stone golem composed of rocks slowly emerged, grabbing the Earth Hammer and raising it high, wearing a crazed expression.
But before it could finish its laughter, Little Angel flew over, reached out a hand, and shouted, “Awoo!”
“Oh,” came the quick response from the Earth Hammer. The stone golem obediently handed the hammer back to Little Angel. As soon as the hammer left the golem's hand, the golem crumbled into a pile of rocks.
Clearly, the stone golem was nothing more than a semblance of the force from the Earth Hammer, like a stand for the hammer.
Great Angel swung it a few times in her hand and gave a loud shout, “Awoo.” With a fierce motion, she slammed it into the ground.
Boom! The ground exploded, and rock and soil were flung upward, leaving a deep pit.
Great Angel looked into the pit and seemed satisfied, then took out a seedling and tossed it in, ready to cover it with soil.
Ange leaped over and gave her a rap on the head, picking up the seedling and planting a Big Tree in its place.
What was this child doing, planting a seedling in a big pit and covering it with soil? Did she want to smother the tree?
Little Angel did not mind and continued to make holes, one hammer strike at a time. After absorbing the power of Earth, the Earth Hammer had successfully upgraded to a Tree Planting Hammer.
Ange had no time to plant trees, so he pulled out the Tree Herder, Trent, to help.
Trent excitedly rooted himself in the ground, his branches growing madly. Once they reached a certain length, they sprouted roots, broke off, and used the roots as legs to run to the pits and leap in to take root, then pulled the surrounding soil in.
While shepherding the trees, it wasn't long before Trent suddenly said, “Lord, I can feel it, deep within this land, the remnants of a Divine Tree's consciousness, it's crying out for help.”
Ange cocked his head.
“Remnants? Crying out for help?” The God of Life suddenly leaped down from Ange's shoulder, spread his legs, and began to dig his roots into the soil.
After quite a while, the God of Life nodded, “It is crying out for help.”
