Chapter 1162: Chapter 726: Crush Him, Smash Him Chapter 1162: Chapter 726: Crush Him, Smash Him The Demon hadn't touched the Little Angel before she leapt up, her cloak flaring open to reveal an excited little face, and then she punched the Demon squarely in the eye socket.
The Demon took the punch solidly, as if his head had been struck by a log, sent flying backward, dragging his entire body along, crashing into his comrades behind him, his head lolling to the side as he passed out.
Negriss grumbled, “His head's pretty tough, didn't blow up.”
The Demon's companions stumbled from the impact, angrily straightening up only to find that the little girl had sprinted right in front of them.
From behind the Little Angel, white flames burst forth, propelling her forward as she struck another Demon in the face with a sharp punch.
That Demon's head flipped backward with his body, spitting out a mouthful of blood and several teeth.
The force of knocking back the Demon canceled the Little Angel's forward momentum, allowing her to stop in place, then she spun around and landed a kick on another Demon's neck, bringing him down to the ground with a thud, silent.
In the blink of an eye, three Demon Soldiers were incapacitated, two of which were very likely dead.
It wasn't until this moment that the other Demon Soldiers in the team reacted, drawing their weapons or transforming. A portion of the Demons quickly fell into formation, sharp horns sprouting from their heads and their arms bulging as their skin split, their aura rapidly intensifying.
With a shocked expression, Pink Hem quickly said, “Those are the Mixed-Blood Demons of Giraldo, Lord of the Earth Demon. They're well-trained and formidable, an excellent mix of long and short-range tactics–a very tough professional force.”
Demons were strong and resilient, powerful in combat, but if they had a flaw… it was their lack of coordination. Even Demons under the same command were a disorganized bunch, blindly charging into battle and scattering just as quickly when defeated, completely lacking the concept of troop formation and synergy.
But Giraldo's Mixed-Blood Demons were rare professional soldiers among Demons, able to form defensive arrays and launch ranged attacks in coordination, exerting combat power far exceeding their numbers.
With an inquisitive tone, Anthony asked, “They're professional? Really? Their formation isn't even tight, with such large gaps, Little Angel can slip right through, causing disruption from the inside.”
Pink Hem glanced at Little Angel's stature and then at the spaces between the Mixed-Blood Demons, realizing the truth in his comment.
Each of those Demons was over two meters tall, broad and burly. To them, being in formation meant standing in a line, with gaps of no more than two meters between each other–if enemies couldn't squeeze through, it counted as sufficient.
Yet, with her mere height of 1.4 meters, the Little Angel zipped through them with ease. And that's precisely what she did, darting forward, slipping through the front line of Demons, and pouncing on the Soldiers behind who hadn't transformed yet.
The Demon Soldiers in the rear were conjuring Fireballs, ready to hurl at the enemy when suddenly, a blur flashed before their eyes, and a little human girl appeared before them, smiling as she landed a punch to an eye socket.
With nimble twists and turns, the Little Angel took full advantage of her size, throwing the Demons' formation into complete chaos, and quickly, seven or eight more lay on the ground.
Unable to stand it any longer, a Great Demon from within the ranks bellowed, “Step back, let me handle this.”
With a mighty flap of his leathery wings, a fierce green flame engulfed him. His massive four-meter-tall frame began to shrink, quickly condensing to about 1.6 meters.
For this kind of Great Demon, claws were their weapon. Its nails extended, becoming hard and sharp like twenty-centimeter long daggers.
Pink Hem's face changed, “No good, it's the Swift Form, incredibly fast, specifically designed to counter agile foes.”
“Very fast? How fast can it be? Faster than the Holy Light?” Negriss asked curiously.
“Ah? Holy Light? How fast is the Holy Light?” Pink Hem was taken aback, as she had never seen the Holy Light and didn't know its speed.
Although Pink Hem didn't know how fast the Holy Light was, everyone quickly realized that the Demon was not as fast as the Holy Light, with a series of bangs and clashes, it tangled with the Little Angel.
After a short while, Negriss spoke up with slight dissatisfaction, “That kid's just playing around again.”
“Playing?” On the other side was a Great Demon, and in its Swift Form no less. How could this seemingly small girl be playing?
“`
Huff, huff, huff–the immense sound of flapping wings, a massive demon of ten meters tall, sporting four arms, fanned its flesh wings and slowly flew above the crowd.
The Pink Hem's face turned pale, “This is bad, it's Lord of the Earth Demon Giraldo; how did he get here so quickly?”
Although Lord of the Earth Demon Giraldo was only of the Devil King rank, he was a powerful combat-type Earth Demon. Pink Hem, despite being a Demon Lord, was an Enchanting Demon, whose combat strength couldn't match that of a battle-ready Devil King.
The thing was, Demon Horn City wasn't Giraldo's territory, and he had shown up here in less than two minutes since the fight began–how could he have arrived so fast?
What Pink Hem didn't know was that the fake Devil King of Purgatory had already summoned all demons for the blood sacrifice matter.
“The aura's pretty strong, an Earth Demon? How's that different from a Lava Demon? Does it have any special skills?” Anthony asked.
Pink Hem paused for a moment then responded following Anthony's lead, “The difference from a Lava Demon is the absence of the flame attribute, but the power of earth is stronger. Special skills? Does Earthquake Burst count? But should we be talking about this now? Shouldn't we be going up to help?”
“No need, a Devil King is all, Little Angel can handle it. She was just playing before, now it's time for her to get serious,” Anthony remarked.
Pink Hem was shocked, she had some doubts when Little Fat Dragon said 'playing', but hearing it from Anthony, she had to believe it.
“Is she really that formidable? I thought she was too young, I didn't even dare to talk loudly to her, afraid she would burst into tears,” Pink Hem commented.
“Hehe,” Anthony and Negriss laughed together, with Negriss saying, “The one who will end up crying in a fight is definitely you.”
Anthony added with a smile, “Keep an eye out for the tearducts.”
Pink Hem looked at Anthony perplexedly, about to say something when suddenly a force erupted.
Turning her head to look, she saw Little Angel spread a pair of pristine wings from her back with a swoosh, conjured up a sacred flame in both hands, and her speed surged as she dove straight into the center line of the Swift Demon, fists flying.
Thump, thump, thump… The sound of fists meeting flesh melded together, at first, the Swift Demon managed to parry a dozen punches, but then couldn't keep up with Little Angel's pace. She forcibly spread his arms apart, the punches booming against his body: pfft, pfft…
The sacred power penetrated through, igniting the body of the Swift Demon with sacred flames, emitting a piercing scream of agony.
It was then Negriss recalled, “Demons count as heretics, right?”
“Right,” Anthony said, realizing that Little Angel hadn't even used the Power of Holy Light when battling the Swift Demon. No wonder Negriss thought she was playing.
It had been a long time since she had a chance to fight, which was incredibly frustrating for the Battle Angel, just like watching a fertile field but not being able to sow it. Now that she finally had an opportunity, how could she not take pleasure in it?
As for their original plan to disguise themselves and covertly gather information, Little Angel had tossed it aside long ago.
Who's to blame? Perhaps the overzealous Demon Soldier; anyway, now that they were exposed, everyone was too lazy to stop Little Angel, letting her have her fun.
As the Swift Demon wailed in retreat, Little Angel's wings unfurled with a whoosh, she thrust her hands forward and a beam of light blasted the Swift Demon, turning him into a charred husk.
Having dealt with the Swift Demon, Little Angel immediately shifted her gaze to Lord of the Earth Demon Giraldo.
At this moment, Giraldo had only just landed, staring in bewilderment this way–didn't he just find an open space to land? How come his Great Demon had vanished?
Little Angel quickly pulled out the Great Angel's Staff, slammed it into the ground, then drew the Earth Hammer in her hand, showing Giraldo a brilliant smile.
The freshly summoned Great Earth Hammer was still somewhat groggy, muttering, “Time to loosen the soil again? Let's see what kind of soil we've got, eh? There's the power of earth? A demon? An Earth Demon?”
Suddenly, the Earth Hammer's excitement soared, “Oh, crush him, smash him, keep his heart for me.”
