Chapter 1122: Chapter 686: The Sunshine is Disappearing Quickly Chapter 1122: Chapter 686: The Sunshine is Disappearing Quickly If it weren't for the Little Dimensional Beast, the Goddess of Starfire would not have “listened” to Anthony at all, because her power was granted by the Abyssal Big Mouth, which also gave her a new life. The Abyssal Big Mouth was her reason for existence.
But it must be said, Anthony saw through the nature of “people,” or rather the commonality of all intelligent life, as long as there is something the other party cares about, he can make you “listen” to his voice.
Almost subconsciously, the Goddess of Starfire glanced at the little cat on the ground, which was desperately struggling at the moment to get free from the big cat's paws and run back to the Starfire.
But how could the big cat possibly let it escape? But then again, pressing down on it was not an option either, the big cat's strength was too great, and pressing for too long might crush the little cat to death, so it could only push it back. The little cat would take a few steps only to be dragged back by the big cat twice around, rolling in the dirt.
The annoyed little cat roared at the big cat, which wasn't to be outdone and roared back before opening its wide mouth and puffing a breath that tumbled the little cat over, leaving it even more disheveled.
The Goddess of Starfire's heart ached. Wasn't this exactly what Anthony mentioned about “being bullied by another big cat”?
Indeed, she too could see that the big cat meant no harm, but that's precisely why she was more worried. It meant that the little cat's ability to survive was too weak; an unintentional action by others could be too much for it to bear. If she was gone, who would take care of it?
Following the line of “being bullied by another big cat,” the Goddess of Starfire thought again, “Sealed? Am I sealed?”
Anthony quickly followed up, “Yes, you are sealed in this Dimensional Space by my Lord. It was crafted from a fruit of the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms, and now that you can't leave, isn't that a seal?”
The Goddess of Starfire looked at Anthony hesitantly.
Hesitation is good, hesitation means she was wavering. What followed was just about upping the stakes.
“You are now targeted by the Starburst Array. You do know about the Starburst Array, right? It's a powerful weapon that can obliterate an abyss, a plane, even all gods with a single strike. Even if you release the entire Abyss Wall, it couldn't withstand its blast. Any resistance or struggle is futile; any sacrifice is meaningless.”
“Being sealed and targeted by the Starburst Array, there is nothing you can do to change the facts, but you can change the destiny of the Little Dimensional Beast. Just answer a few of my questions, and you can stay in the seal until the battle is over.”
“With the Little Dimensional Beast here to accompany you, no matter the outcome of the battle, it doesn't concern you, but the Little Dimensional Beast can continue to have you.”
“In this vast Void, you might be the only one who cares about it, right? For people like us, we'd rather capture it to be a laborer, carving Dimensional Spaces, cut a piece, feed it two Elf Beans, and it's good as long as it doesn't starve to death.”
Scared by Anthony's description, the Goddess of Starfire shivered at the thought of the little cat having to toil under someone else's whip, exchanging hard work for just a couple of beans. She asked in a dejected tone, “What do you want to know?”
“Got it! He truly is a godman,” Negris exclaimed in admiration from the outside.
Inside, Anthony's expression didn't vary as he carefully asked, “Your master, the Abyssal Big Mouth, why does it want to invade our plane?”
Starting from Alba's Holy Spirit Army, Anthony had wondered why these Ancient Gods were targeting them. It was apparent from the body of the Goddess of Starfire that each of these Ancient Gods possesses the power to annihilate worlds.
The Serpent of Misfortune, Bone Dragons, these did not even need mention. The weakest, like Wanderer Drosa, a feeble Ancient God, might appear cowardly in front of Ange, but the Starburst Array was his invention, capable of destroying all gods across an entire world with a single strike.
Yet the Goddess of Starfire was even capable, with her bare hands, of gathering World-destroying Starfire, powerful enough to blast away a plane.
But such overwhelming existences first sent a hundred thousand soldiers of the Holy Spirit Army, and after their failure, they dispatched several Ancient God Hunters to invade the Master Plane. What grudge or grievance warranted these Ancient Gods to fixate on them?
The Goddess of Starfire subconsciously glanced at Ange and said, “You have violated the First Law of the Void.”
“What? The First Law of the Void?” Hearing this answer, Anthony was astounded. He had hypothesized that perhaps His Majesty had caused a mishap, they couldn't beat him, and came to raid his homeland, but instead, it was the never-before-heard First Law of the Void?
“What is the First Law of the Void?” Anthony asked.
The Goddess of Starfire shook her head, “I do not know. I do not yet have the capability to peer into the mysteries of the Void. However, my master has said that someone among you has violated the First Law of the Void, and by the will of the Void, you will be annihilated.”
“The will of the Void? Is that a real consciousness or some kind of fabricated designation?” Anthony inquired.
The Goddess of Starfire breathed a sigh of relief and said, “You know nothing of the Void. If these are all your questions, I am more than willing to answer them. The Void Will is the supreme consciousness of the Void, the master of my master.”
Anthony took a sharp breath. The master of the Goddess of Starfire's master? An entity even higher than the Abyssal Big Mouth? Heavens, what on earth was this First Law of the Void? When had they angered such a significant entity?
Anthony's thoughts raced as he asked, “Then do you know the Undead Ruler?”
“I do. He is also an Undead. Do you have a connection with him? He violated the Second Law of the Void,” the Goddess of Starfire exclaimed in shock.
“There is a Second Law? The Laws of the Void wouldn't have been set by the Void Will itself, would they?” Anthony asked.
The Goddess of Starfire nodded as a matter of course, “The will of the Void, his will, is the law.”
“Heh,” Anthony smirked, sensing he was dealing with a zealot. He quickly changed his approach, because the logic of zealots differed from ordinary people. Normal questioning strategies had little effect, while provocation might work better.
“The sun is the ultimate law; you don't mean to tell me the Void Will can also make the sun disappear?” Anthony said with a dismissive expression.
The Goddess of Starfire matter-of-factly responded, “Of course it can. The Abyss lacks sunlight because it's a law set by the Void Will; it can certainly make the sunlight of the Material Plane vanish.”
“Heh, you say it can and so it can, but there's no way to prove it. If it had such power, why not make the sunlight in the Master Plane disappear, extinguishing all life, instead of having you invade?” Anthony's face was filled with disdain.
The Goddess of Starfire was somewhat provoked, bluntly retorting, “Ignorant beings of the plane, lack of insight. Changing the law requires immense power, sending us is more efficient. Although I cannot prove to you the power of the Void Will, I can show you the power of my master.”
Saying this, the Goddess of Starfire gripped the lapels of her clothing and pulled them apart, revealing a sun emblem with a gaping mouth inside.
Suddenly, the world dimmed as the sunlight began to vanish rapidly, all the brilliance seeming to be devoured by the gaping mouth in the emblem of the sun.
