Chapter 1108: Chapter 672 More Plentiful… Chapter 1108: Chapter 672 More Plentiful… A large group of elves, led by Kael'danil, passed through the inter-world channel and stepped onto the Divine Wood Continent; the pitch-black void drew gasps of amazement one after another.
Kael'danil shouted, “The air here is thin, the temperature is low, and the gravity is weak. Don't carelessly jump around, jumping too high might send you floating away, or freeze you to death. Pay attention to safety, don't run around without reason. Once we've adapted to the environment, the Giant Dragon will bestow us with their Breathing Technique, and you'll be able to serve nature.”
The elves, bundled up in thick deer skin coats and looking more like dwarves than elves, trembled and nodded at her words.
As he watched the elves arriving one after another, Anthony said, “The God of Life and Little Sapling have each chosen four locations to establish inter-world channels. Through any of these entrances, one can travel to another place, namely Divine Wood Continent, Iron Sand City of the Star Burst Plane, Elf Forest of the Master Plane, and the Resting Abyss.”
“The Resting Abyss can also transmit anyone to any place in the Master Plane through a central world station, effectively linking two worlds into one. The alchemy of the Star Burst Plane is advanced; dispatch some exchange scholars to the Stellaris Academy; they should be quite welcomed. The Master Plane has a high degree of social organization; we could select some grassroots officials to come here and reform the city-state political system–direct democracy is just too inefficient.”
Anthony babbled on, making everyone start to distance themselves from him, hearing him start these incomprehensible talks again. Only Negris and his unofficial student Nevin could understand some of it.
At that moment, an elf dressed like a bear, wearing a thick fur hat, stepped out from the group and waved from afar. “Noble guests, long time no see, how are you all?”
Everyone glanced at each other with bewildered expressions. Anthony could only wave his hand and say, “Hello, hello, and you are…?”
The elf walked over, removed the fur hat, revealing a delicate face full of magic patterns. She made a displeased gesture, straightening her little finger while closing the rest, ready to knock on her shoulder.
Seeing her face, Anthony immediately remembered who she was and quickly stopped her hand. “Jerika, right? I didn't recognize you with the hat on. Let's drink; my treat, and no watering down.”
Negris had explained the meaning of this Dark Elf's gesture before–how could he let her make it again? No man should let another make them feel 'small.'
From the first mention of 'drink,' the displeasure on Jerika's face began to fade, by 'my treat' she was already smiling broadly, and at 'no watering down,' she seemed almost ready to throw her arms around Anthony. “Generous of you! Let's go, I happened to bring a bottle of precious Dwarven spirit, one sip can knock a dragon out. Let's taste it together.”
Anthony asked with a curious look, “What kind of strong spirits can Dwarves have? It wouldn't happen to be called Rice Honey Dew Wine, would it?”
Jerika asked in surprise, “How did you know?”
By the time Jerika had called out all her companions, all Dark Elves who had drunk with Anthony in the past, found a warm and clean place, and Anthony had begun pulling out bottle after bottle of Rice Honey Dew Wine, all the Dark Elves' eyes were bulging.
“One bottle might not be enough, one each to start; I'm buying. Come on, drink, no watering down,” Anthony called loudly.
Jerika frowned, the Dwarven spirit was still too strong for them. It was fine for a group of Dark Elves to share one bottle for a cheer, maybe with some Moon Spring Wine and fruit wine, but one per person? That was too much.
Just as she hesitated, she saw Anthony already casually standing with his little finger straight up, dusting off his shoulder.
“Oh, Mom, as an elf, can I be such a coward?” Jerika gritted her teeth…
After a round of toasting, Anthony coolly stood up after knocking over a dozen Dark Elves and said with a smile, “It seems our guests can't hold their liquor, so we'll just have to drink again next time. Please rest here.”
After Anthony left, Jerika's eyes snapped open, and she quickly crawled to a corner and started gagging herself. With Battle Qi compressing her abdomen, she vomited until she was clean and then finally took a relieved sleep. From then on, whenever she saw Anthony, she would take a detour.
Anthony returned, feeling quite satisfied. Negris grumpily said, “Do you feel no shame? Bullying a Dark Elf, let's see you drink without your Divine Soul.”
“How could I do that? Faith is always in my heart, and Divine Soul is the strength of my belief,” Anthony stated sternly.
There was no way to argue with this Death God's Staff about this–the Holy Code debate–who could possibly out-argue a millenniold Godman? So, they simply skipped that topic: “Ange said that the Holy Spirit Armor Egg from the Void has been cultured…”
“Really? Let's hurry and see the adults to check what effect this Void Armor Egg has,” exclaimed Anthony excitedly.
Recently, they had acquired several new materials, including Shay's flesh, the adhesive from the Serpent of Misfortune, feathers from Chaotic Holy Spirits, and loads of timber from the Void War Trees, nibbled by insects, and so forth.
How to make the most of these materials and to cultivate them had been Ange's task for the past half-year.
Still following the old method of control experiments, Ange quickly discovered a pattern: anything involving the Void and Chaos qualities simply couldn't be processed.
That is, he could cultivate Shay's 'flesh,' but he couldn't produce Shay; he could cultivate the adhesive from the Serpent of Misfortune, but not the Serpent itself.
Similarly, he could change the bones of the Chaotic Holy Spirits into 'Undead Holy Spirits,' but he couldn't resurrect them as 'Chaotic Holy Spirits,' mainly because he did not possess the power of the Dark Wing.
But that was alright. These bones of the Chaotic Holy Spirits had one property: they could fly in the Void. Therefore, Ange directly transformed them into Undead Holy Spirits, totaling seventy thousand complete and ten thousand incomplete.
They might lack hands and feet, but as long as they had wings, they could fly through the Void. Even if they lost all their feathers, it didn't matter. As Negris mentioned before, a few tens of thousands could be arranged for Diyali to 'pull carts'–referring to these Undead Holy Spirits.
Undead Holy Spirits from the Void could move freely through the Void, but others did not have this ability and needed the aid of the Dragon Clan Breathing Technique.
However, the application of the Dragon Clan Breathing Technique was very limited, first and foremost because the target had to withstand the power of the technique.
Ordinary people could hardly endure it, and even if they did survive, they could breathe but not withstand the low temperatures or move in the Void. It's important to note that on the Divine Wood Continent, gravity is so weak that a strong jump might push you out of the gravitational range and float into the Void, never returning.
Facing such an issue, a solution emerged somewhat unintentionally. In the control experiments, Ange accidentally cultured a glue-like substance similar to the Holy Spirit Armor Egg.
Just throw it on yourself and visualize what you want, and it will grow into anything you imagine, whether it's armor, an extra pair of hands, or even a fuller chest…
