Chapter 1106: Chapter 670: Dragon Breath Sprayed All Over Its Face Chapter 1106: Chapter 670: Dragon Breath Sprayed All Over Its Face Staring at the Divine Wood Continent that had been dragged over by the giant dragons, Cabrela and Lainas almost popped their eyes out, “So… you guys weren't even trying your hardest?”
Why was Lainas dissatisfied? Because he felt that Ange and his party hadn't actually defeated them directly; they had lost to the tranquility, Locke, and the Undead King.
Yet, witnessing the Divine Wood Continent that spanned hundreds of kilometers in front of them, they felt a chill to their core, realizing that Ange and his group truly hadn't used their full strength.
Such a massive piece of rock, using nothing but its own size, could shatter the Starburst Array just by colliding with it; once set in motion, the Sorcerer Alliance would be doomed.
Even if the Starburst Array adjusted its mode of attack, it couldn't possibly destroy such an enormous piece of land; once moved, the Starburst Array would be ground to dust.
The Divine Wood Continent was laboriously dragged nearby, then the giant dragons had to gruelingly push it back to decelerate, ending up exhausted and disheveled. The Red Dragon Clan Leader, Diyali, couldn't help but complain:
“My lord, we are giant dragons, with sharp fangs and strong bodies, brave warriors–not coachmen. Could you please not make us pull wagons?”
Negris gave her an unamused look, “Do you really want to fight? Well, there's your enemy, and before it was defeated, it was as big as that tree next to it. Do you want to fight it?”
Seeing the God of Life and then looking at the remaining stump of the War Giant Tree, Diyali quickly changed her tune, “Then could you send us more help? We are too few in number, and it takes forever to get started. By the time we arrive, the fight would be over.”
“I get it; I'll send you twenty thousand or so. Is that fine? Barely any work done and all you do is complain. By the way, where's your dad?” Negris asked.
“He hasn't woken up yet; but his life signs are stable, which is a good sign. Perhaps his evolution was successful,” Diyali said enviously.
While they were conversing here, the War Giant Tree over there was already brimming with tears, “It's truly the parent tree, let me guard it, let me protect it.”
Anthony somewhat reluctantly said, “We found this in the void and have thrived upon it for centuries; it's our homeland. We can't just hand it over to you.”
“No deal, no deal; let me protect it and, incidentally, protect you too.” The War Tree was talking smoother now, perhaps out of urgency.
“But how can I know that once you plant your roots, you won't drive us away? Besides, we are not a match for you,” Anthony said.
A palm-sized piece of bark from the War Tree brightened up and fell off, “Take this, the core of the tree. If you crush it, I'll die.”
Anthony still looked troubled, “But in your current state, you can't protect the Divine Wood.”
“Give me water and soil; I can grow again,” the War Tree said.
“How much water and soil would that require? We're in the Void here; bringing all those materials up would consume immense resources. Why don't I just move you into a plane? The Divine Wood doesn't need your protection,” Anthony tentatively said.
“No, I want to protect the parent tree. Anything you want, just let me guard the parent tree,” the War Tree said firmly.
Everyone felt slightly uneasy to continue listening and drifted away. Durken then sighed, “When it comes to business skills, Anthony is not much worse than a silver coin.”
Negris sneered, “Worse? You're wrong. A silver coin only earns money; Anthony earns everything you own. That Godman scored a War Giant Tree for free, and there was already water and soil on the Divine Wood. Ange had prepared the soil for farming long ago, and the water was drawn from ice; enough to sustain tens of millions.”
“Ah, I misspoke. A silver coin earns profit, something that didn't exist before; he makes things more valuable before earning from them. In that regard, a silver coin is indeed very conscientious.”
Under Anthony's smooth talking, the War Giant Tree had everything that could be squeezed out of it extracted. Only then did Anthony let the God of Life verify the function of the tree core to ensure it could restrain the War Tree, before handing it over to Ange.
Ange tossed it to the Little Sapling who, looking utterly baffled, held the tree core and after pausing for a moment, began to wave the True Leaf: Strive–Grow–Strive–Grow–
“What's happening, what's happening? I feel full of power! I'm going to sprout soon. Quick, give me water, soil, and fertilizer!” the War Tree exclaimed.
The giant dragons dragged half of the War Tree to the Divine Wood Continent and placed it on fertile soil. Some professional farmers came over to water and fertilize it. Once it sprouted and leafed, they started applying red and blue light for supplementation.
The War Tree felt like it was in a professional bathhouse; it didn't need to say anything and was handled thoroughly. It had nothing to worry about; it just needed to 'Strive–Grow–' which was magical indeed.
However, regaining its original height of thousands of meters wasn't so easy, but no matter what, the Divine Wood Continent now had an extra means for self-defense–a Void-level War Giant Tree. If it wasn't for enemies like Ange who knew its details, others would likely suffer easily at its hands.
The God of Life also arrived at the Divine Wood Continent and rooted itself not far from the War Tree. As the War Tree grew, it followed suit.
As it grew, a crack appeared near its roots.
Everyone gasped in surprise, “A world passage? To where?”
A bud sprouted on the Tree of Life, quickly formed into a shape, and turned into a Tree Herder, who wobbled over, “Elf Forest…”
“What a pity; if it could be connected to the Little Sapling's world passage, that would be great,” Negris said regretfully.
The God of Life slapped the Little Sapling's hand then moved to the other shoulder of Ange, curling up and slowly saying, “There, it's connected now.”
“…” Everyone exchanged speechless glances, suddenly feeling an urge to pick up the God of Life and give it a good shaking.
Negris even more so lifted it up, “Don't sleep; get up and clarify first, what legacy did you find on your parent tree?”
The God of Life spoke slowly, “Some knowledge about the Void Divine Tree and such, too much, I need to sort it out…”
“That's it? Isn't there anything else?” Negris was stunned; just some knowledge about the Void Divine Tree? That needed the protection of a War Tree? Just blend it into a pulp and throw it in some corner; aside from the World Tree, no other creature could access its information.
“Oh, there are some less important things, like seeds of Divine Tree Elves, seeds of Void Treemen, eggs of Void Chimeras, and such, all hanging on the tree,” the God of Life continued nonchalantly.
Negris glanced at the God of Life, suddenly spewed a breath of Dragon Breath on its face, and then flew towards the Tree of Life.
