Chapter 1100: Chapter 664: Why Did You Surrender First? Chapter 1100: Chapter 664: Why Did You Surrender First? After he finished speaking loudly, Lainas switched the internal channel and said, “Radiad, Cabrela and I support you as our chief. We cannot let these outsiders snatch our chief position. Lord Annihilation really is muddled to issue such a bizarre order. How can the great Sorcerer Alliance let a group of outsiders manage it?”
Radiad didn't respond. Lainas thought that the other party was being reserved, feeling embarrassed to agree, and he had already made up his mind to push Radiad to the chief's position.
Who knew that just as the Sorcerer Ladder had steadied, Radiad would rush over eagerly and kneel down, “God-making Warlock Radiad, greets the Lord of Two Realms, please accept my Box of God-making and grant me the opportunity to serve you.”
Radiad respectfully held up a box.
“Radiad you…” Lainas almost spat out a mouthful of blood in surprise; the knights were about to charge, why had his lordship descended first? He had wanted to support Radiad to be the chief, but he had not expected Radiad to relent so readily; this was too embarrassing.
No one paid any attention to Lainas; Negris and some others curiously gathered around: “Box of God-making? What is it used for?”
“It contains my fake God Status. As long as it remains intact, I can resurrect no matter how many times I die, but if it breaks, then my death is certain,” Radiad explained.
“Eh, it sounds a bit like the mechanism of a Witch-lich's Coffin,” Durken commented.
“Exactly, Lord Durken, it was the Witch-lich's Coffin that inspired me,” Radiad said.
Seeing how cooperative he was, Negris asked, “Are you really truly serving Lord Ange? You're not fighting to become the chief?”
“No, no, please grant me the opportunity to serve Lord Ange. Having the protection of the Lord of Two Realms, what is a chief sorcerer anyway,” Radiad replied calmly.
Anthony asked doubtfully, “Did Locke tell you something?”
“Locke? You mean Lord Annihilation? No, it was the Ancestor God who spoke to me; he said serving Lord Ange is a real opportunity to become a god and not to miss it,” Radiad said.
“Ancestor God? Where is it? I almost forgot about it,” Negris scoffed.
Ange looked up towards the Sorcerer Ladder, his gaze locked onto a spot.
The Ancestor God appeared as a shadow, awkwardly saying: “Greetings to the Lord of Two Realms, I am here.” If Ange hadn't noticed him, he probably wouldn't have shown himself.
“What do you mean by a real chance to become a god?” Negris asked.
The Ancestor God said, “I don't know, I just have this feeling that the opportunity Radiad has been desperately seeking lies with Lord Ange, and what Radiad chases is to become a true deity.”
“Always with the feelings, just like Shamara. I remember the deity that Monica and the others worship was made by Radiad, wasn't it? You have your own Box of God-making, isn't becoming a god easy for you?” Negris asked, puzzled.
“What kind of deity is that, nothing but a parasite without the worship of mortals, I want to be a true deity that doesn't need others' worship,” Radiad said.
Having said this, Radiad realized everyone was looking at him, and Negris's expression turned even sourer as he approached Ange and said, “Ange, he insulted us.”
Clunk, it was over, he had insulted everyone present, and Radiad inwardly regretted: Is it too late to retract my words now?
Ange cocked his head: “I don't need worship.”
“That's true, you are all about equivalent exchange, but he insulted me, I want to badmouth him and make things difficult for him,” Negris said fiercely.
Anthony dismissed it, “Lord Negris, you're joking; you barely have any followers, who would worship you?”
Spurt – that was even more heart-wrenching than an insult, Negris was so angry that he jumped over to hit him.
As for Anthony, he certainly wouldn't care about this. In the past thousand years, he had revived enough people to fill an entire plane, and offering him service was something many yearned to do but couldn't achieve.
As for the others, each of them was incredibly busy, with none merely taking without giving something in return, all abiding by Ange's rule of equivalent exchange.
It was indeed true. Ange accepted the Box of God-making from Radiad and tucked it into the Dimensional Space.
Lainas finally couldn't hold back anymore and said loudly, “Have you all finished talking? I say, I object, I oppose you all becoming the head of the United Sorcerers, though I don't know what enchanting potion you gave to Radiad. If he doesn't become the head, we still have the Eye of Truth…”
Lainas had just turned his gaze towards Cabrela when he noticed that Cabrela had drifted far away at some unknown point, pretending not to hear Lainas's words.
“You… you…” The non-cooperation of his two companions embarrassed Lainas immensely. He couldn't help but say in frustration, “If they won't do it, I will. I will become the head of the Sorcerer Alliance. It's not up to you outsiders to decide.”
Ange had already accepted Radiad's Box of God-making and considered him one of their own. Anthony then looked in his direction.
Radiad gave a bitter smile and said, “He has a bad temper, but he's not a bad person. I hope you won't be too hard on him.”
Anthony nodded then looked towards Cabrela, “The Eye of Truth, what do you mean?”
Cabrela floated over, “I have no objections to Lord Annihilation's decision, but I want to experience the might of the ruler of two realms and hope he can show me what true reality is.”
Ange cocked his head, not understanding what that meant.
Anthony, however, did understand and came closer to say, “He's a bit resentful and wants to see a kind of 'reality' that he cannot discern, perhaps some Illusion Technique.”
“Oh.” Ange nodded, took out a scarecrow hat, put it on his head, and transformed into a Hawkman.
Cabrela widened his eyes, strained them, strained them hard, blinked due to the twitching of his eyes, but couldn't see anything unreal about this 'Hawkman'.
After incredulously staring for quite a while, Cabrela sighed, “My Eye of Truth is a joke before you. Lord Annihilation entrusting the alliance to you was the correct choice. Cabrela awaits your commands.”
Cabrela moved obediently to the side. Now, of the three United Sorcerers, only Lainas still resisted.
Radiad couldn't help but persuade, “Lainas, this is Lord Annihilation's arrangement. Do you know why Lord Annihilation left us behind but took the others to intercept the Undead King? Because the others had been seduced by the Evil God, so Lord Annihilation never intended for them to survive. His arrangement definitely has a deeper meaning. Listen to him, don't waste Lord Annihilation's kindness.”
Negris muttered softly, “That Evil God also surrendered.”
If it had never surrendered, there actually wasn't a good solution. After all, it was entrusted to Ange by Locke, so it couldn't just be killed; they could only shoo it away.
Having Radiad personally persuade him and speaking to this extent, Lainas finally hesitated and gritted his teeth, “Alright, I'll agree if you help me obtain the Oscillation Crystal Core. I will recognize you as the head.”
“Oscillation Crystal Core? What is that? Where is it?” Negris asked.
Anthony responded more quickly, “Could he be talking about the core inside his Spirit Oscillator? Is that a piece of Black Crystal Fragment? Oscillation Crystal Core refers to the Black Crystal Fragment? Did your Black Crystal Fragment fall out? Or is there a larger piece of Black Crystal somewhere else?”
Lainas gritted his teeth and said, “It's a giant Oscillation Crystal Core, also known as the Black Crystal you mentioned. If we had three Sorcerer Ladders, we could haul it back here. If you're willing to chisel off a larger piece for me, I'll take you to it.”
So this was the real reason he didn't want others to be the chief. However, his request made Negris and the others laugh, “Hha, you really think you can chisel off a larger piece from the Black Crystal? How large is that Black Crystal?”
Lainas didn't understand why they were laughing because he had never dared to chip at his own piece of Black Crystal Fragment, not knowing how hard it was. He only responded, “It's about three meters in diameter, mounted on a giant skeleton.”
“Hiss–” Negris and the others took in a breath of cold air. If the diameter was three meters, then its mass would be much larger even than the Undead King's Black Crystal Body.
