Chapter 1075: Chapter 640: A Moving Plane? Chapter 1075: Chapter 640: A Moving Plane? Drosa heaved a sigh of relief that he almost didn't catch, “Kvada, don't beat around the bush when you speak; you damn near gave me a heart attack.”
If the Undead Ruler had been driven away by these people before him, he realized he would truly have to change his posture and kneel more gracefully.
However, the chosen ones needed to be appeased as well, in case they couldn't defeat Nightmare Saya and called the Undead Ruler back, what then?
Thinking this, Drosa squeezed out a faint smile, “To intercept Nightmare Saya, well, it might not be impossible. Nightmare Saya could be said to be the most unique among all the Ancient Gods, with its strengths and weaknesses equally clear. If you understand its weaknesses, you might actually be able to stop it, or even scare it away.”
Anthony clearly felt the change in Drosa's attitude and, with a quick glance, suddenly asked, “Lord Drosa, could you please explain to us what Ancient God means?”
“Ancient God? You don't know what Ancient God means?” Drosa was taken aback for a moment.
“We've heard a little, but we don't know if it's correct. After all, you are the first Ancient God we have encountered. Apart from you, we have no other way to verify, so we hope you can tell us in detail,” Anthony said.
Scratching his head, Drosa said, “Ancient Gods, naturally, are deities that have existed since the ancient times, having existed for a very long time, which is why they are called Ancient Gods. As for any other meanings, in my view, I refer to all deities born in the Chaos Plane as Ancient Gods.”
“All born in the Chaos Plane are gods?” Anthony asked.
“To mortals, those are indeed gods. The Chaos Plane is both the source and the end of all powers, where everything is gathered. No matter where you are born, you will eventually return to the Chaos Plane,” Drosa said.
“The beginning and the end of everything?” This description differed from Anthony's understanding; he had thought the Chaos Plane was just an undifferentiated expanse.
Unable to explain further, Drosa simply waved his hand, “I don't understand it very well either. Let's talk about Nightmare Saya, it's actually not an individual, but a group made up of multiple Sayas. Each 'strand of hair' is an independent being, then they combine to form the powerful will that is Nightmare Saya.”
“A collective consciousness?” Negris asked.
“Something like that; the stronger the Sayas, the stronger Nightmare Saya becomes. However, each individual Saya is not very strong. If you could somehow dispose of three to five of them, you might scare the rest away,” Drosa said.
Anthony nodded to show he understood. According to Drosa, these Sayas were like a nest of ants, and Nightmare Saya was like the queen ant. One Saya wasn't scary, but a nest of Sayas was.
“Is there any way to…” Just as Anthony was about to ask about a good way to deal with these Nightmare Sayas, Ange suddenly said, “It wants to eat me.”
Then his will withdrew.
The way Ange existed inside the Temple of Rest was through the manifestation of his will; his body was still outside and usually, he could only extend an arm in.
Negris and Anthony immediately projected themselves onto Ange, only to see Ange swinging his scythe down on a 'strand of hair' with a human face, not only hooking out a huge Soul Fire, but also severing over a meter thick 'strand of hair'.
“What happened? What happened?” Negris asked anxiously.
“It wants to eat me,” Ange said.
“It wants to eat you? How?” Negris quickly asked, while looking around.
Only then did Negris notice Ange had walked into a pit–or more accurately, a depression formed by a large pile of bones. He had no idea whether it had collapsed or what had happened.
The 'strand of hair' probed into the pit but was severed at its end by Ange.
Inside the pit had already gathered numerous intelligent beings, their faces dull and their eyes lifeless, as if they were bewitched by something, scattered within the pit. Macor and several goblins were among them; Ange had followed them to this place.
Besides these intelligent beings, there were many fresh skeletons on the ground, the sticky blood and mucus on them had not dried, even pieces of cartilage and flesh still clinging on, obviously having turned into skeletons not long ago.
Negris asked in shock, “You're not going to tell me that these skeletons were all just devoured by these Shay, are you?”
Ange nodded, quickly ran over the Shay's head, pressed down with a hand, pushing it into the Temple of Rest, and in passing, tossed Macor and the others in, then stomped on the ground.
The ground was made of countless bones, and as Ange stomped, the bones immediately squeezed outward, creating a deep hole. Ange jumped down, the bones at the opening automatically restored to their original state, leaving only slight signs of friction, barely indicating that a hole had ever opened there.
“Kvada, King's Arrival can be used like this too? Directly making a path for you? Why not just run away? You killed Shay, these creatures with a collective will would definitely know it was you. They will turn this place upside down to find you,” Negris said.
The ground here was at least a kilometer thick with layers of bone, the bones underneath crushed into bone dust, but the top several tens of meters were still intact. Intact bones could be controlled by King's Arrival.
Ange directly controlled the bones to make way for him, quickly forming a tunnel that allowed him to transfer and leave from underground.
Hearing Negris's words, Ange flashed that ball of Soul Fire he had hooked out from Shay.
Negris, puzzled, said, “You mean to say, you've hooked out this guy's soul, so the Nightmare Shay doesn't know how it died? But after all, it is dead. It will definitely know something sneaked in. They will search the whole Plane for you, believe it or not.”
Ange nodded.
“And you're not running? Didn't you say you could pull yourself into the Temple of Rest and then leave through the World Transit Hub? Now that Little Sapling has opened the World Channel, couldn't your true body also go to the Star Burst Plane? Can the two Undead Godhood merge together? Kvada, your power would double,” Negris thought and immediately became excited.
Ange shook his head, “Body snatching.”
“Even at this time, what do you want with the body of Serpent of Misfortune? Combine the Undead Godhood first, then come back and kill them,” Negris suggested.
Ange stepped on the skeletal ground and said, “Snatch this, shell, as an avatar.”
Negris looked at the skeletons on the ground, then at Ange, and hesitantly said, “You mean to say, the center of this Plane is actually a mystical shell? The one Drosa wanted us to see? It's just been covered by so many bones that it appears the way it does now?”
Ange nodded.
Negris frowned and said, “The shell can also be considered a bone. Can your King's Arrival still work on the shell?”
Ange nodded.
“Hiss– you want to snatch the shell… snatch it? What for? A mobile… moving Plane?” Negris could vaguely guess at Ange's idea, but precisely because he did, he found this astonishing thought so startling that he was losing coherence in his speech.
“Can plant things,” Ange said, then stopped, quietly moving away the bones ahead to reveal a small crack.
