Chapter 1053: Chapter 619: Finally Found Out Where Your Majesty Went Chapter 1053: Chapter 619: Finally Found Out Where Your Majesty Went Before he could regret it, Drosa pulled out a seed of the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms and said, “I'll use this, the seed of the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms, to exchange for your God Status. How about that? The Tree of Ten Thousand Realms, the divine tree that supports all worlds. If you plant it, you can have the power to dominate all realms.”
Ange paused his work, took the seed of the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms, and examined it. This was the Consciousness Space; the seed was merely a manifestation by Drosa for Ange to see. If they agreed on the exchange, the real item would be fetched later.
Upon looking, Ange realized this was just like the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms he had already grown. Exactly the same.
The fruit grown from that Tree of Ten Thousand Realms had already been transformed into his Dimensional Space for growing vegetables. Now with an additional seed, didn't that mean he could grow another Dimensional Space?
This was indeed valuable. With that thought, Ange asked, “How many?”
“What do you mean? Do you mean to ask how many Divine Tree seeds I'll use to exchange for a God Status?” Drosa asked, surprised.
Ange nodded, and Drosa nearly spat out a mouthful of blood in frustration, “How many? It's a loss for me even at one-for-one. This is a seed of the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms we're talking about. One seed is worth ten thousand times more than your lousy God Status.”
“Oh, not of equal value, no deal,” Ange said, and resumed focusing on planting.
“Pff… Negotiate, will you? I'll take a loss and make the trade, why don't you negotiate and just call off the deal without playing along? Who does business like you?” Drosa had been dealing in beguilement for many years and this was the first time he had encountered such a difficult target, who just wouldn't negotiate further.
Ange, without looking back, replied, “Ten thousand times too expensive, no deal.”
Ange didn't have ten thousand God Statuses and didn't think the seed was worth that much. It wasn't of equal value which went against his principle of fair exchange, so he simply refused to trade.
“Pff– Don't you get exaggeration? Ten thousand times is just a figure of speech, not that it's really worth that much. One-for-one, okay? One seed for one of your God Statuses,” Drosa was getting frantic. The ten thousand times was just hyperbole–couldn't this guy tell?
Ange thought for a moment but still shook his head, “Too expensive, no deal.”
The fruit produced by the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms could be transformed into a Dimensional Space, but he already had one. Having another seemed redundant, whereas the Blank God Statue had many uses.
More importantly, he only had two Blank God Statues left, and the new ones planted, due to lack of catalysis from the Faith Storm, had not yet produced any God Status. Trading a very useful Blank God Statue for a less useful Dimensional Space did not seem worth it to Ange.
“So what do you want? What do you think is not too expensive to trade? How about I add something else? Ten beauties from various races, you decide the gender, Demon Crystals? Precious metals? Territory?” Drosa rattled off a list of offers.
Ange scratched his head, stretched out his hand, and two whirlpools appeared beside him. Anthony and silver coins emerged, looking around in shock and confusion at this strange world.
Ange briefly explained the situation, and the eyes of Anthony and silver coin lit up. They turned to Drosa as if they were looking at a sheep ready to be sheared.
Drosa instinctively stepped back as Anthony and silver coin quickly put on sincere expressions and circled around him. Soon, angry shouts could be heard from Drosa's direction: “You swindler! You charlatan! You demons!”
Half an hour later, Anthony and silver coin returned, looking quite satisfied, while Drosa trailed behind them like an eggplant beaten by frost.
Ange looked at the two of them and tilted his head.
Anthony smiled and said, “We got quite a haul, let's talk outside.”
Ange shook his head.
Anthony naturally knew why Ange shook his head, and quickly said, “I had Drosa record this world, so you can recreate it in your own Consciousness Space, Your Majesty. That way, you can come and go as you please. After all, this is Drosa's Consciousness Space, and he can destroy all your crops at any time.”
Ange nodded hurriedly.
The thought retracted, and before long, an Energy Orb appeared in the center of the Starburst Array, ejecting a seed of the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms and two crystals.
Ange took out the Blank God Statue and, following Anthony's request, branded it with a Perception Brand.
Drosa's voice rang out, reluctantly, “Can't we do it without the brand? I can add something more.”
Anthony said firmly, “No, without the brand, you could escape our perception at any time, who knows what shady things you might get up to in some corner? This is a prerequisite for our trade. Should you refuse, we will terminate the deal and confiscate your goods.”
“You demon! Fine, let's do the brand, happy now?” Drosa conceded.
Confiscation of goods too? He had already handed over the seed, so wouldn't interrupting the trade mean a huge loss? Initially, branding was part of the agreement, and Drosa just wanted to try and negotiate, it didn't matter to him if it wasn't successful.
“Don't worry, it's just a Perception Brand, we'll always know your location, makes it easier for us to 'drop by' for a visit. Otherwise, if you wander off and get lost, what will we do?” Anthony offered some reassurance.
'Drop by for a visit', my Kvada. It's all about monitoring his location at all times, isn't it? This is as good as losing all freedom, always under their surveillance, leaving no chance for any mischief.
If it weren't for his plight and the need to flee, Drosa would never accept such humiliating terms.
But there were no ifs, and the cunning merchant and charlatan negotiating opposite him were much more infuriating than Ange, probing his background in just a few words and making offers that scraped the very bottom of what he was willing to accept. Damn Kvada, he was starting to suspect these two could see right through his thoughts.
Projecting his thoughts into the Blank God Statue, Drosa materialized a shadowy figure and flew toward the Plane without looking back, not wanting to stay a moment longer.
It was only then that Negris found the leisure to ask, “What happened? Where did Ange drag you guys off to? Drosa looks like he's seen a ghost, what did you do? Wasn't it just for ten or so seconds? It's like a lot happened.”
Anthony and the silver coin exchanged a look, “Ten seconds? His Majesty pulled us into Drosa's Consciousness Space to negotiate, we were in there for about half an hour, I think? What do you mean by ten seconds?”
“Half an hour? No, when you were talking to me, you just froze suddenly, and it was only for ten seconds before you came back around, not half an hour,” Negris was even more confused.
Anthony nodded, “It seems that our perception of time inside the Consciousness Space is different from the outside. It looks like we can hold meetings in the Consciousness Space next time, have a longer one; a whole day inside may only be a few minutes outside.”
“Are you crazy, a day-long meeting? Do you have a meeting fetish or something?” Negris jumped in shock.
“It's a metaphor, don't interrupt. Let's check out our gains; this time, we at least know where His Majesty has gone.” While speaking, Anthony took out two crystals and weighed one in his hand.
Everyone gathered around, and Anthony activated the crystal, causing a shadowy expanse to spread out immediately.
In the distance was a haze, and within the haze, a massive shadow roamed, occasionally watering, weeding, and carrying a huge scythe.
“Your Majesty!” they called out instinctively.
The shadowy figure just happened to turn its head, and its eyes twinkled with a green light.
