Chapter 1047: 613 Chapter 1047: 613 If one were to ask who had instilled a psychological shadow in Negris, Locke was undoubtedly one of them, in fact, the primary one. Negris could still recall being dragged back to the Resting Camp like a dead dog.
Peeing on Locke's grave was the bravest form of revenge he could think of, but alas, he only dared to 'think about it'. Now, Anthony had openly triggered something, Kvada–this charlatan had betrayed me!
Locke's eyes blazed with rage as his gaze fell on Ange, glaring intensely.
Ange tilted his head, and Boom! A strong fluctuation erupted in front of him.
“?” Locke looked at Ange in surprise.
Although he had only intended to teach Negris a lesson and hadn't exerted much force, he felt as if he had run into an indiscernible wall, forcing him to take Ange seriously.
He looked at Ange, and Ange looked back at him. After a prolonged stare, Locke finally averted his gaze, skipping over the matter, and turned towards Anthony saying,
“I don't believe you belong to the Church of Light anymore. Even if you've captured him, the God of Knowledge wouldn't dare to speak rashly about peeing on me. So, what's the situation? Have you destroyed the Church of Light?”
Only then did everyone understand the deep meaning behind Anthony's words. Indeed, harboring such dark thoughts, if Negris was captured by the Church of Light, he likely wouldn't admit it; it was too embarrassing.
“The situation is like this…” Anthony detailed the events of the past thousand years that had occurred in the Master Plane.
While they were explaining, Feiti leaned towards Durken and whispered, “During that staring contest with Lord Locke just now, did he back down?”
Caught off-guard by Feiti's comment, Durken also paused, “It seems so. Locke backing down? That's miraculous.”
“Not just now. Earlier, when Anthony said we were 'defecting to the Light,' Locke held back too. That's not like him at all. Could he be an imposter?” Feiti murmured.
Durken nodded, “Yeah, that's too soft for Locke. He's always been 'either I blow you up, or you blow me up', unless… it's a mission from His Majesty, and he'd do whatever it takes to complete it.”
After Anthony finished explaining the situation, Locke slapped his large skeletal foot, “Ah, now I've really put you guys in a tight spot. I thought you belonged to the Church of Light and hoped you could take the blame. So, are the thirty million Expeditionary Army also fake?”
Anthony hesitated and replied, “Fake is fake, but scraping something together isn't entirely impossible. Lord Locke, you first explain exactly what's going on? Where did His Majesty go?”
Everyone shivered, even Ange withdrew his hand from the void to listen intently.
“His Majesty has gone to fight. Before leaving, he ordered me to maintain the balance of the void and watch for changes in the situation, but, it seems like I messed up, and possibly His Majesty messed up too,” Locke said regretfully.
“His Majesty has gone to fight? But then, who is the one trapped in the Annihilation Boundary?” Anthony asked.
Locke sighed, “That's why I said I messed up. Here's what happened…”
Over a hundred years ago on the Master Plane, a Faith Storm had struck, but even before this, the Undead King had foreseen such an event and had made all the necessary preparations.
“Wait a moment, Lord Locke, why did His Majesty predict this incident?” Anthony quickly asked.
He should have listened to Locke's entire story before raising all his questions, but having just heard the beginning, he couldn't hold back, because everything was premised on the Monarch's prediction of the entire event. But why could His Majesty predict its occurrence?
Locke glanced at Ange, but his gaze was not on Ange, it was on the Little Fat Dragon reflected on Ange.
However, Little Fat Dragon was no longer on Ange's body, instead reflecting back onto its own body, now flapping over here.
Locke turned to Negris and said, “His Majesty seized the Bronze Dragon's predictive ability, so he sensed all this happening.”
It was as expected, Anthony thought to himself.
Negris flew over and said from afar, “And my Enlightenment Aura, the Old Immortal stole everything from me, Locke I tell you, I didn't pee on your grave, it's all rumors Anthony spread, you better not mess around.”
“I know you wouldn't dare, but you always wanted, to. It doesn't matter now, you're all alive, that's very good,” Locke said with relief.
Negris felt a warmth in his heart and said with relief, “You're alive too, that's great. I saw your skeleton at the Skeleton Palace and thought you were dead, I was sad for a long time.”
After chatting for a bit, Locke continued, “Upon sensing the situation, His Majesty immediately prepared to come here and kill, and to avoid trouble later on, he sent me and Feiti to wipe out the Church of Light.”
“After destroying the Gods of Light, I had just returned to the Resting Camp not long before His Majesty summoned me here.”
“Just like that, His Majesty and I spent two hundred years rebuilding the Undead Empire, and drove the Sorcerer Alliance into the heavens' Array.”
“Once, the Sorcerer Alliance was the Evil God's henchmen, seduced by the Evil God to build this Array, annihilating two worlds' gods, initially wanting to eliminate the original gods and develop all creatures into the Evil God's followers to gain the power of followers, but they were interrupted by His Majesty.”
“The Sorcerer Alliance, retreating into the heavens, could only offer a paltry few hundred thousand units of Yuanli via faith, which is meaningless. But His Majesty is not planning to let them go. He first spread knowledge using the Knowledge Temple to get more people to study alchemy.”
“I don't know why, but the more people that throng to knowledge, the fewer there are who believe in the Evil God, so the Starburst Array's available power diminishes more and more.”
“Then, His Majesty asked me to take his place, pretending to be the Undead King to manage the empire, and then he just disappeared somewhere. Decades later, he summoned me, saying he is now the Annihilation Warlock of the Sorcerer Alliance, asking me to come and assist him, as he had discovered the location of the Evil God and was preparing to go eliminate them, asking me to impersonate the Annihilation Warlock to manage the Sorcerer Alliance.”
“I said, 'Your Majesty, I'm not familiar with this, why don't you stay and I'll go and do the slaying? I'm experienced with that.' His Majesty said, 'Don't worry, I've already prepared everything, I have been using your Annihilation Boundary to deceive them all these years, as long as you can still use the Annihilation Boundary, you can keep them fooled.'”
Everyone's spirits were lifted, and Negris even shouted, “Annihilation Boundary! Is that the Boundary you used when you captured me? Your Boundary actually has a name?”
Locke shrugged, “It didn't have a name originally, but His Majesty named it, so now it's called the Annihilation Boundary.”
Anthony quickly interrupted Negris's interjection, otherwise the topic would definitely get derailed again, “So, His Majesty called you to be the Annihilation Warlock, where did he go?”
