Chapter 1037: Chapter 604: Hold a Grand Funeral as Compensation Chapter 1037: Chapter 604: Hold a Grand Funeral as Compensation “The density is off? Right, why didn't I think of that? You have the Ring of Balance; you can directly measure the mass and volume ratio. If the density is off, either it's hollow inside, or it's not rock,” Negris exclaimed, slapping his side in surprise.
“Aside from that rock being off, is there anything else wrong?” Negris asked again.
Ange pointed at a nearby rock and said, “That one's off, mass XX, volume XX, it's not stone.”
Negris quickly calculated the density and said, “This density is very close to that of a Demon Crystal; it's definitely not rock. Durken, go take a look; see if it's hollow inside.”
Durken stepped out onto the celestial ladder, then turned into a wisp of smoke with a poof, reappearing at the edge of the rock. He touched the rock with his Gold-touch Stick, and his eyes soon lit up.
Quickly, Durken came back and announced to everyone, “You guys will never guess what it is.”
Negris curled his lip, “What's there to guess? If it's not hollow, then it must be ice. Ice has a higher density than Demon Crystals, mixed with some voids, it could reach this number. It couldn't possibly be all Demon Crystals.”
“Uh… Lord Nage, you guessed correctly… it's all Demon Crystals,” Durken said dejectedly.
He had hoped to give everyone a shock, but even though Negris didn't guess Demon Crystals specifically, mentioning it reduced the surprise.
“What– all Demon Crystals?” Negris said incredulously. Given this density value, if it were Demon Crystals, then the whole thing would be made of them. How massive could that be?
“Thirty thousand five hundred tons,” Ange measured with the Ring of Balance.
“Tons? How many Demon Crystals is that? Now I know why the Sorcerer Alliance isn't short on Demon Crystals. Such stones, even one shipment back, is tens of thousands of tons. Give me a Demon Crystal,” Negris said.
Durken pulled out a Demon Crystal for him, and Negris held it in front of Ange and asked, “How heavy?”
“Five grams,” Ange replied.
“Alright, thirty thousand five hundred tons equals six billion one hundred million,” Negris quickly calculated, then sticking out his tongue, he added, “We'll never run out of Demon Crystals again.”
The rock was so large that even Ange's Divine Realm couldn't contain it; in the end, they had to use the Lifesaving Rope to tie it up and attach it to the back of the Sorcerer's ladder, dragging it slowly forward.
“Thank goodness for the Lifesaving Rope; otherwise, we'd have nothing to tie it with. This is the first time I feel the Goddess of Redemption might be a bit useful–at least her Divine Artifact is,” Negris said.
As they moved on, Ange spotted several more rocks with the wrong density. Since they were too small to have much space inside, he didn't bother exploring them and headed straight for the larger one.
Durken scouted ahead, confirmed there was space inside, then turned back to nod at everyone.
Everyone landed on the rock; as Feiti was about to start, Negris stopped him, “Let Little Angel handle it; make less noise. Little Angel, the Earth Hammer.”
“Aow?!” Little Angel's eyes sparkled instantly, excitedly wielding the Earth Hammer, and with a thunderous slam, he smashed it onto the ground, immediately creating a large pit in the rock's surface. Due to the Earth Hammer's properties, the noise of breaking did not spread outward, and one could hardly feel the vibration from outside.
Thus, with repeated hammering, they created a large hole, and as everyone rushed inside, a withered plant slowly began to stretch out, sweeping a powerful will across them.
“Who are you?” the voice of the Ancestor boomed through the space.
Anthony said loudly, “We are the ones who erased Radiad's memory.”
“So it was you, how did you find this place?” the Ancestor of God asked, puzzled.
The God of Life emerged from Ange's shoulder, stretching its leg, root-tangled limbs reaching the ground, and walked down in this manner.
The Ancestor of God's thoughts scanned the God of Life, “It's you, that powerful life, you are called the God of Life, right?”
“They call me that, but I am merely a tree,” the God of Life replied leisurely.
“Oh, a tree? A long, long time ago, I too met a powerful tree, which bestowed upon me the seed of a god. In that sense, I suppose I am also a tree,” the Ancestor of God muttered.
Instantly, everyone's mind flashed with the Divine Wood Continent where the Giant Dragons resided. Anthony quickly asked, “What about that tree? Where did it go? You already seem very powerful, I can feel an endless power within you. Was that tree even more formidable than you? Where did it go?”
“It died, one day it just withered away,” the Ancestor of God said.
“Impossible! A tree stronger than you suddenly withering away? You wouldn't be deceiving us, would you?” Anthony said, clearly unconvinced.
Seeing his expression and tone, everyone knew he was provoking again, trying to elicit more information through his words and expressions.
However, the Ancestor of God was unaffected, speaking slowly, “All things eventually descend into chaos, even the most powerful lives meet their demise the moment their power begins to disorder.”
Then its thoughts swept over Durken, Feiti, and Little Zombie, continuing leisurely, “Including those creatures known as Undead. Their 'undead' status is relative to normal beings; even their souls will eventually fall into chaos, yet their king tries to challenge the Laws of the Void.”
Everyone was struck by this description, doubtless, this king challenging the Laws of the Void was definitely His Majesty.
Anthony asked, “Oh? So where did this king go?”
The Ancestor of God answered, “I do not know, after beating me to this state, he fled. Later, Radiad said that the Lord of Annihilation trapped him in the Annihilation Boundary.”
“Pfft…” Negris almost burst out laughing. So this orb of divine light ended up like this because of the Undead King's beating?
After asking several other questions, to which the Ancestor of God cooperatively responded, Anthony curiously asked, “We are very thankful you answered our questions; I am curious to know why you are willing to answer so many of our questions?”
The Ancestor of God paused, then hesitantly asked, “I just annihilated a few of its pollen grains, and so many of you came looking for me. If I do not answer, will you attack me?”
This time, it was Ange and the others who looked at each other, unsure. Would they? Of course, they would, not just attack but to death, because if it were to resurrect as an Annihilation Warlock, they might not be able to defeat it later.
An Annihilation Warlock trapped Locke, two working together…
However, now that the facts were laid out, it seemed rather excessive. After all, it had only annihilated a few pollen grains attached to Radiad, and they had come to kill it.
“This does seem quite excessive when you put it that way. But letting it go isn't great either; keeping a hazard like that. How about we kill it and then hold a more grandiose funeral as compensation?” Anthony guiltily suggested.
