Chapter 1035: Chapter 602: Something Discovered Me Chapter 1035: Chapter 602: Something Discovered Me “Impossible, how could there be someone else's scent, it's impossible…” Radiad instinctively denied it, but after just saying a few words, he realized, this was not his wife, then immediately came the realization, he had no wife.
With the identity behind the voice, it clearly wasn't joking. Radiad immediately became serious and asked, “What scent?”
A gust of wind blew through the closed space, passing over Radiad, lifting some things up: “The scent of a powerful life form.”
The wind gathered into a cluster in midair. Radiad moved closer to look, but there was nothing in the air, only some dust-like particles floating around.
“What things? There's nothing here. Where are the things?” Radiad asked, puzzled.
The divine light among the plants trembled slightly, and the dust in front of Radiad suddenly started growing, sprouting velvety threads, but quickly withered and shrank, finally turning to ash. In just a brief moment, these 'dust' particles vanished.
“Hiss–Plants? God of Life?” Radiad exclaimed, shocked.
“God of Life? What's that? A tree? A giant tree? Doesn't seem like it, more like a manipulation of souls. Have you forgotten something?” the voice asked as the divine light flickered.
“Forgotten something? What have I forgotten? I've forgotten everything before I was three years old, is that what you mean?” Radiad asked, confused.
A phantom emerged from the divine light, extending a tentacle-like shadow that brushed over Radiad's head.
A blast resonated through Radiad, the Divine Fire was shaken out of his body, and then he clutched his head, screaming in agony as he crouched down. Memories that should have been erased came flooding back into his mind.
Flash Feiti, Alchemy King Durken, Pope of Light Anthony, Holy Essence Liquid, Insect Ash Liquid, World Tree saplings, Fruit of Life, Heart of Life, Divine Fragments…
“This… I, my memories were erased this much?! How did they do it? Isn't Anthony the Pope of Light? Why is he mingling with the Undead? Flash Feiti and Durken, they all came here, have those powerful beings from the Divine Realm already descended?” Radiad's thoughts were in utter chaos from the surge of these newly emerged memories.
The divine light was distracted by those objects with strong vitality: “Vitality, bring back those things with strong vitality.”
The divine light rarely lost composure, but Radiad was too busy integrating these new memories into the corresponding timelines.
Human memory is linear, and things remembered when drunk or semi-conscious can seem very chaotic without a clear timeline.
Fortunately, the memories Radiad had erased were all from the same period, the same scenario. He quickly sorted them out.
“So, Anthony and his group have dual identities, one being the Church of Light? The other being the Undead? Is it that the Undead have unified the Divine Realm, or has the Church of Light captured those Undead?” Radiad muttered to himself.
The divine light didn't care about that, urging, “Vitality, hurry and fetch me vitality, it's best to have lots of Divine Fragments, if not, Holy Essence Liquid and the Fruit of Life will also do; what's Insect Ash Liquid? If you place it with these things full of vitality, it must also be something full of vitality, right? Get some and see.”
Radiad said, “I've been trying, but these people are very powerful, from the Divine Realm, they easily captured me and unbelievably erased my memories, I can't snatch what you need from their hands.”
The voice of the divine light paused for a moment, then slowly said, “Exchange, use what they need in exchange for what I need, go ask, what do they need?”
“Okay, Divine Ancestor, oh, by the way, what was I supposed to do when I came back here? I almost forgot, Divine Ancestor, these people are holding a grain yield contest, they might need some high-yielding seeds, could we try exchanging high-yielding seeds with them?”
“Also, among the prizes of the competition, there is a Divine Artifact of the Harvest Goddess that might possess the vitality you need,” Radiad said.
“A high-yielding grain? Use this.” A wisp of divine light drifted in front of Radiad, “Sprinkle it on the rye, and it will grow according to my strongest will.”
Radiad hesitated and said, “These people are full of confidence, and the God of Life is there too. How much can your will yield per acre? I'm afraid I'll lose if it's too little.”
The forefather of the gods was silent for a while, then again separated a wisp of divine light that floated in front of Radiad, and said lightly, “One thousand six hundred pounds then. That's all my will can muster for now. Bring back more vitality, and my will can become stronger.”
From the forefather's casual tone, Radiad sensed a feeling of heartache but didn't pay much attention to it; he simply complained, “The vitality you want is too picky. It's either something with divine power, something with strong life, or something that can promote life growth and development. If your requirements weren't so choosy, couldn't I just bring ten million fat intestine worms for you to eat?”
The forefather of the gods nonchalantly said, “Simple life, too little vitality. Keep it for yourself to eat.”
Radiad sighed, “I've been sick of it for a while now. I feel like vomiting just seeing the fat worm paste, but with more frequent interactions with the surface recently, I can eat more fresh vegetables and meat, no longer stuck chewing on that stuff.”
Fat worm paste is a nutritional cake used for disaster relief, made from a type of bug called a fat intestine worm, which is the main food for all creatures of the Starburst Array.
The space available for planting on the Starburst Array is far too small, though water is plentiful, thanks to chunks of ice floating in the void which, when harvested, can sustain the Starburst Array's water cycle for hundreds of years.
All wastewater and dirty water are collected through pipes into one place, where a potent algae grows and decomposes the nutrients contained within, while also growing wildly under the sun's rays.
These rapidly growing algae feed the fat intestine worms and other bugs, which are then ground up together with spices and seasoning to make the main dietary cake, the staple food for everyone on the Starburst Array.
As for vegetables, wheat, and bread, those are foods that are only available during major festivals. Usually, the most one could have are some dried vegetables, as they're easy to preserve and transport.
Of course, that's for ordinary people. For a United Sorcerer like Radiad, the material provisions ensured a lifestyle nearly as luxurious as that of surface nobility, although he had become sick of the nutritional cakes before he even joined the sorcerers, having a physiological reaction whenever he heard about them.
The forefather of the gods ignored Radiad's complaints and silently gathered the surrounding dry leaves, enveloping them in divine light.
Radiad tactfully took his leave. The forefather of the gods, the ancestor of all gods, wouldn't care about such mundane complaints, and he wasn't worried about angering it either.
It was like complaining to a stone, “I am going to split from the cold…” You wouldn't get angry either.
Despite the forefather's lively tone and inflection when speaking, it was all an imitation of Radiad's speech; from another's perspective, it sounded more like a conversation between two Radiads.
A God Mage, Radiad's title sounded powerful, but only he knew that the 'seed' was powerful; he was merely a farmer, and the forefather was that seed.
After sprinkling the divine light into a bag of rye seeds, Radiad returned satisfied. He initially hoped to achieve a yield of eight to nine hundred pounds, but the forefather went all out and doubled it to one thousand six hundred pounds.
My god, this yield was twice the amount of the grain used on the Starburst Array. Even if the God of Life himself stepped in, those from the Divine Realm couldn't possibly achieve this yield. With this, Radiad was absolutely confident.
The moment Radiad entered that space and the pollen was gathered and germinated, the God of Life also emerged from Ange's shoulder, “Something has detected me.”
