Fenrir's Journey : I Shall Devour The Heavens! Chapter 45

After cutting down the terrible smelling girly boy, Fenrir snorted and raised her palm towards the massive spectral sword flying towards her . To be safe, she had triple-layered the barriers but, after seeing the 20m long green blade strike her outer barrier, Fenrir frowned because her overestimation of the old fat man had wasted her energy . Though it had made her barrier fluctuate slightly, the magical circle didn't suffer any noticeable damage at all, meaning it would continue to hold against an almost infinite number of similar attacks . However, even though she had determined him to be weak, the man still shouted out, "You despicable curr! Why are you killing my clansmen!? Where are your honor and dignity!?"

Seeing that his attack had failed, the Patriarch of the Fen Clan, Fen Xinyi, doubled back in the air and thrust forward with his sword once again . Just as before, the blade produced was around 20m long except, different than his previous attack, this one had runes glowing along the blade's length . With a voice filled with righteous indignation, he shouted, "With the Heavens as my witness, I will strike down this wicked and vic-" Before he could send the sword flying forward, Fenrir appeared next to Fen Xinyi, coldly intoning, "Drivel . . . " as she cut forward with a blade of energy . Fen Xinyi tried to move back, simultaneously pulling his phantom blade to act as a shield, shouting, "You dare!?" with a thunderous voice .

Unfortunately for him, Fenrir's blade was completely undeterred, making use of its 'Severing Laws' to cut straight through the phantom blade, Fen Xinyi's waist, and the small hidden blade that was floating around behind him . The Fen Clan Patriarch immediately noticed that all feeling below his ribs had completely vanished, though it could have just been an illusion as the searing pain he was experiencing was overwhelming . Since the 'Dantian', where a person's cultivation was stored, was located in the navel, he had effectively been cut off from his source of energy . It felt like all his meridians were exploding, causing blood to erupt from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth .

With the last bit of his strength, Fen Xinyi shouted, "You bitch! I'll take you with me!!!" as he tried to pierce his heart . However, this action couldn't be completed as the hand he had moved to perform the sacrificial act simply fell to the ground below . His eyes absentmindedly followed it until, in less time than it took to blink, his head started following the same path . The last thing he saw was various segments of his body that had been cut to have perfectly flat surfaces . They were so clean that, for a short while, the blood had continued to try and flow through veins that were no longer attached . . .

Fenrir didn't spare an eye towards the deceased man and instead turned her attention to the strongest person that remained in the residence, an elderly woman who was so aged that her eyes could no longer open . She hadn't been as strong as the previous man, but the elderly woman was still able to stand on the air without aid as asked, "Tell me, young mistress, why have you wrought death and destruction upon our Clan . . . ? Please, allow this old lady to go to her death knowing the reason . . . "
