Fenrir's Journey : I Shall Devour The Heavens! Chapter 42

After getting the information she had wanted, which had been obtained for free with her status as a Mercenary Queen, Fenrir decided it would be better for her to leave the city . Though there were some quests that were available to her, Fenrir didn't really care about increasing her rank that much and, now that she had also obtained a map, her goal behind entering the city had already been met . Since she didn't really want to deal with the weaklings lurking about in the shadows, it was easier to just move on and go about her business . At least, that was her intent when she was leaving the Mercenaries Guild . . .

Drawn by the crowd, which had gathered to view and discuss the two corpses on the ground, there were a group of 'girly' men wearing white robes asking about the identity of the attacker . When the man they were talking to saw Fenrir come out of the building, he pointed in her direction, causing the four men to turn in her direction . The leading man, looking especially girly, showed a surprised expression on his face while his three fellows all had moderate reactions of their own . It was obvious at a glance that the three 'less' girly men were followers of the smaller, 'especially' girly man .

In the next instant, just as she had been blocked previously, Fenrir found the girly man standing in front of her with a smile on his face while his lackeys loosely encircled her . She could see a glint in his eyes that looked at her like a possession and, before he was able to stay a single stupid word, Fenrir reached out and grabbed the girly man by his makeup covered face . Though she was nearly 20cm shorter than he was, Fenrir lifted the man by his face and, in less time than it took to blink an eye, buried his head into the ground below, shouting, "STOP STANDING IN MY WAY!"

The three other men moved to attack her, with one immediately drawing his sword since he had noticed that his Young Master had already gone to greet King Yama . Just as he was about to exclaim injustice for all the surrounding crowds to hear, the man suddenly felt a peculiar sensation pass through his body and was no longer able to move . He watched as the murderous girl walked away from them, having completely missed her previous movements . However, the onlookers had seen it clearly when Fenrir made a strange 3m long blade of energy with her finger and ran it through all three surrounding men . By the time she had 'vanished' from the city center, four more corpses had joined the previous two . . .

Fenrir was now completely pissed off, so much so that the hunger in her stomach was rising up, encroaching on her brain as it threatened to take over . However, instead of running towards the periphery of the city to hunt monsters, Fenrir charged towards where one of the men following her was located . Before the man was able to say anything, Fenrir swiped her [Severing Claws] across his body and left him in five pieces before moving on to her next target . If they wanted to keep pestering her, Fenrir was going to make sure they couldn't pester anyone anymore . . .

(Fenrir's Commentary: 'They just keep coming, one after the other! If they want me so badly, I'll go to them then . . . !')
