He once almost burned Raikou's fur; he got a disappointed look from his companion that caused him to stop experimenting while traveling .

They stopped once to eat lunch and Ed cooked some cow monster steaks along with roasted seasoned potatoes . The lunch was very delicious so Raikou was feeling rejuvenated for his second trip .

The trio encountered some monsters along the way but decided to ignore them . Most of the monsters were too weak to pose a threat anyway . After sundown, Ed could finally see a city behind the trees . He was now getting ready to enter the city .

"Raikou, hide in my shadow and wait there . We don't want to attract unwanted attention" Ed didn't want the guards to freak out when seeing Raikou and end up attacking him since he would retaliate and Ed might even kill them if they cause any injuries to his companions . Ed recalled Suika a well .

Ed got close to the entrance and the guard noticed him .

"Halt, you are about to enter the city of Scale kingdom . State your purpose!" The guard stopped Ed . It was a normal occurrence since bandits did exist in this world, however, the guard seemed overly intense .

"My name is Edward Avalon . I came from the Avalon kingdom in order to enter the academy that is open to the nobles of the continent" Ed stated his purpose normally .
"Halt, you are about to enter the city of Scale kingdom . State your purpose!" The guard stopped Ed . It was a normal occurrence since bandits did exist in this world, however, the guard seemed overly intense .

"My name is Edward Avalon . I came from the Avalon kingdom in order to enter the academy that is open to the nobles of the continent" Ed stated his purpose normally .

"If you are a noble then how come you are dressed like a hunter? On top of that, where is your carriage?" Unfortunately for Ed, the guard had a smart head on his shoulders .

"I like to hunt that is why I'm wearing these clothes . As for my carriage, I sent it back since I wanted to travel alone for a while" Ed thought of excuses and mixed them with a bit of truth . The guard seemed convinced and let Ed enter, but not without a warning .

"If we find out you are actually a bandit, all the forces of Claw city will be looking for you" Ed decided to move on without caring and entered the city .

The city was similar to his Avalon kingdom although smaller . Ed spent a little while walking and enjoying the sights with Suika riding on top of his head . He had summoned her after entering the city . The surrounding people looked at him like he was some sort of insane person .

After enjoying the sights for a little longer, Ed decided to look for an inn to spend the night . He found one near the city center and decided it would be a good place to stay .

Ed entered the inn and heard a sweet young voice call out .

"Welcome to our sunshine inn! We provide meals three times a day and we even have a bath!" The voice seemed like it was doing its best to convince Ed to stay at the inn .

"I would like to stay in your biggest room, how much does it cost?" Ed chose the biggest room because he knew Raikou liked rooms with a lot of space .

The voiced finally emerged and it was a young girl, about 15-16 years old . She looked confused as to why a single person would want the biggest room . "Will there be other people joining you sir?" The girl lost to her curiosity and asked Ed .

"No, I will be alone . " Ed didn't mind and answered her .

"The room will cost 5 gold coins a night . Meals are included . Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Alice . If you need anything please tell me!" Alice introduced herself in an energetic way .
