Chapter 1513: Chapter 1501: Relatives – Grandma Mu and Memory Crystal_1 Chapter 1513: Chapter 1501: Relatives – Grandma Mu and Memory Crystal_1 “All those who resisted have died, even Grandma Mu's son couldn't escape the misfortune.”
“Sigh…..”
Upon hearing about Grandma Mu, Mu Fan's heart clenched, and he quickened his pace towards the valley ahead.
*
“Ding, ding, ding.”
In the valley, there was a wooden house with wide-open doors and windows, and inside, a white-haired old woman sat, facing away from the window.
The old woman gently waved her skull staff, and the copper bells hanging below the skull produced a crisp and pleasant sound.
Mu Fan treaded lightly, trying not to make a sound as he approached the wooden house.
“Child, come in.”
The old woman seemed to have eyes behind her head. She waved her staff and softly called out to him.
“Grandma, did you know I would come?”
Mu Fan's breath paused for a moment, and his feet unconsciously moved forward.
“Grandma knew.”
With a kind and gentle expression, the old woman reassured him: “You don't need to be afraid, come in and speak with Grandma.”
“Yes.”
Mu Fan instinctively felt that the old woman had no ill intentions, so he crossed the threshold and came before her.
“Sit down.”
The old woman pointed to a cushion across from her and motioned for him to sit there.
“Ok.”
Mu Fan obeyed without hesitation and sat down cross-legged.
It was only at this moment that he clearly saw the old woman's face.
Her warm, gentle, kind, and approachable face, full of delicate wrinkles; her snow-white complexion, all reflecting her once breathtaking beauty.
With just one glance, Mu Fan was absolutely certain that he found traces of himself on this old woman's face.
“Are you… Grandma Mu?”
Thinking in his mind, he couldn't help but ask aloud.
“Yes.”
Grandma Mu looked at him lovingly, revealing a startling truth: “Child, Granny has been waiting for you.”
“Grandma.”
Mu Fan's heart trembled in shock, as he asked in disbelief, “Did you know I would come?”
“Mmhmm.”
Grandma Mu gently shook her staff, muttered a few ancient incantations, and out of thin air, a crystal-clear crystal ball appeared between them.
The crystal ball displayed clear images.
From Mu Fan's birth, his mother's death, his master leading him away, up until the recent events on Wu Mountain, where he slew wizards and saved the Yunxuan siblings, echoed vividly.
“This is the Wu Clan's treasure, the Memory Crystal.”
Grandma Mu gently caressed the crystal ball, explaining: “The memories of the Wu Clan's people and events that occurred on Wu Mountain are stored in here, with no errors or omissions.”
“Are you… my relative?”
Mu Fan's heart trembled, and as he looked at the image of his biological mother within the crystal ball, tears involuntarily blurred his vision.
“Yes.”
Grandma Mu reached out her hand to gently stroke his face, her eyes soft: “I am your grandmother.”
“Grandmother.”
Mu Fan held Grandma Mu's hand and uncontrollably shed tears.
“You look so much like your father.”
Grandma Mu gazed deeply at him, her eyes full of sorrow: “If he had not died, the two of you standing side by side would look like twins.”
Startled, Mu Fan asked, “Why did my father die?”
“He wanted to seek justice for the persecuted clan members by exposing the Clan Patriarch's evil deeds. He ventured into the Wu Clan's Secret Realm to steal the Memory Crystal, but was discovered by the Clan Patriarch and gravely injured.”
With heart-wrenching pain, Grandma Mu recalled the past: “Using a secret technique, he escaped back with the Memory Crystal at the cost of his life, but his injuries were too severe; he passed away that night.”
“Father.”
Hearing of his father's tragic death, Mu Fan was filled with hatred.
“Old witch Mu, hand over the Memory Crystal!”
Angry shouts came from the outside of the wooden house. Sensing the presence of the Memory Crystal, the Wu Clan Patriarch rushed in with a menacing force.
“The Memory Crystal is the Wu Clan's treasure, who are you to disgrace it?”
Grandma Mu's eyes darkened as she muttered an incantation, concealed the Memory Crystal, and coldly scolded.
“Stupid old witch!”
A malicious wizard shouted: “You dare insult the Clan Patriarch, you're tired of living!”
“Swoosh!”
The response to his taunt was a sharp sword aura. Mu Fan didn't hesitate at all; his sword swung through the air, slashing the wizard's throat.
The wizard didn't even have time to wail before he died, his eyes wide open, not a breath left in his body.
“Hisss.”
The remaining five wizards, startled by Mu Fan's frightening aura, gasped in shock.
Mu Fan's gaze turned cold as he tightly gripped his sword, his eyes locked on the Wu Clan Patriarch.
“Kill him!”
The Wu Clan Patriarch sensed the approaching danger and bellowed loudly.
The remaining five wizards followed the command, their eyes filled with ruthless determination. They muttered incantations and fervently shook their Skull Staffs.
The copper bells hung below the skull heads spun rapidly, and the sharp ringing sound pierced the ears.
“Not good, it's a Sonic Attack!”
Evilbane Sword Spirit realized the situation was dire and promptly warned Mu Fan.
However, it was already too late. Mu Fan felt his brow sting like needle pricks and closed his eyes in pain.
“You dare hurt my child, I will make you pay.”
Anger surged in Grandma Mu's heart as she bit her tongue, spewing a mist of blood onto the skull of the staff, causing it to spin in the opposite direction.
The disruptive copper bell sounds caused Mu Fan's acute pain to subside slightly.
Seizing the fleeting opportunity, he opened his eyes and struck down the closest wizard.
“Ahh.”
The wizard let out a miserable scream as Mu Fan's sharp sword severed his right arm, and the staff fell to the ground with the severed limb.
