Chapter 1385: Chapter 1372: Mu Fan, Come Back With Me, Illusion_1 Chapter 1385: Chapter 1372: Mu Fan, Come Back With Me, Illusion_1 “Hmph, just the likes of you all think you can stop me, the commander?”
Mu Rongxue smirked, throwing a beast cage radiating silvery brilliance with a wave of her hand.
The beast cage spun rapidly, growing bigger non-stop under her control of mana in the pitch-black night.
“Baoya, Hunao, come back quickly.”
Mu Fan had a sudden feeling of unease and was about to summon the two fierce beasts back to the Spirit Beast Pouch. However, the beast cage descended from the sky, trapping them inside before he could react.
“Damn woman, let us out!”
The two fierce beasts roared harshly, ramming in the cage in all directions.
The beast cage, however, was so robust that however fiercely they bit and banged against the cage, it was all in vain.
“Commander Mu, what are you playing at?”
Mu Fan's handsome face darkened, his eyes filled with anger.
“Mu Fan, come back with me.”
Mu Rongxue's eyes twinkled, looking at him with apparent sadness.
Seemingly gentle and affectionate, but determined, she would not allow him to reject. “As long as you come back with me, I promise I won't hurt them.”
“Mu Fan, do not believe her, this woman is so evil.”
“She will stop at nothing to achieve her goal, absolutely hateful.”
Baoya and Hunao were so anxious that they felt like spitting blood, constantly rolling about inside the cage.
“I will not go back with you.”
A hint of disgust flashed in Mu Fan's eyes, refusing flatly.
“Nobody can refuse this commander.”
Mu Rongxue's eyebrows raised slightly, a mysterious smile gracing her face. With just a wave of her hand, she set up a barrier, separating the pair from the outside world.
*
The scene in front of Mu Fan suddenly changed.
Surrounded by clouds, magnificent mountains towered over everything, with streams and waterfalls flowing continuously. A Black-Scaled Eagle was soaring between mountains, flying swiftly in search of its prey.
This was the back mountain of the Tranquil Sect.
Mu Fan trembled slightly, standing on the mountain top platform, looking afar. Once he recognized the Black-Scaled Eagle, his pupils contracted, and his breathing nearly stopped.
This Black-Scaled Eagle was exactly like the one he remembered.
“Peep.”
The weak calls of Immortal Bird Chicks rang underfoot. The chicks had just hatched not long ago. Their fluffs had not yet fallen off. The small, fluffy chicks especially touched one's heartstrings.
Uncontrollably, Mu Fan's heart trembled again. Despite the confusion intensifying, he bent down, intending to pick up the Immortal Bird Chick.
“Hiss.”
The moment he reached out his hand, he was so startled at his childish smaller hand that he gasped.
Had he shrunk?
Had he returned to the age of ten?
His bewildered thoughts lasted only a few seconds. The Black-Scaled Eagle was already flying near. With its sharp claws, it grabbed the Immortal Bird Chick.
“Peep.”
The little chick was shivering with fear, crying non-stop.
“Damn Black-Scaled Eagle, release the chick!”
Without hesitation, Mu Fan rose into the air, controlling his sword to pursue the Black-Scaled Eagle.
“Cheep.”
The Black-Scaled Eagle took advantage of Mu Fan's young age, circled in the air, then swiftly dove toward him.
In his subconscious, Mu Fan wanted to pull out his Divine Sword. But he found nothing in his hand. Watching the Black-Scaled Eagle fly close, its massive wingspan swept him off the cliff along with his sword.
“Whoosh!”
A sharp sword light appeared across the sky. It sliced through the Black-Scaled Eagle, saving both him and the little chick.
“Sister?!”
As he fell swiftly, he looked up at the sky. Indeed, he saw that figure in green robe, elegant as the wind in his memory.
“Mu Fan, don't be afraid, sister is here.”
The young girl smiled, came flying on her sword. She caught him and gently held him in her arms.
“Sister? Is it really you?”
His heartbeat skipped a beat, his mind buzzing with excitement.
“Mu Fan, how could you be alone on the back mountain? It's too dangerous.”
The girl gazed at him with concern, gently stroking his face, her tenderness was touching.
A trace of desolation flashed in Mu Fan's eyes, “I have been practicing alone on the back mountain since I was little.”
