These gates unlock every two hours, and parties of up to 10 players are able to take the gate into the enemy dungeon's territory . Once there, they are able to fight both the enemy dungeon's players, as well as their mobs . Defeating mobs and players gives them core essence, which, if they return through the portal, they give to the dungeon core of their home instance .

" A third finger was raised . "And finally, there is a cap on gates per day . Because each instance has 10,000 players, up to 10,000 players can take part in the war per day . Once all the players have participated for the day, no more gates will open, until the next day . Additionally, players can only use the gates once per day . "

That final rule, actually surprised James . Apparently, the developers were trying to put some rules in place, to make the PvP at least somewhat balanced . He supposed it made sense, especially if defeat could really harm a town's economy .

"So, players can only choose to invade the enemy dungeon once per day . " James was already thinking . "But, obviously, the floor they choose to invade, is going to really effect how their dive goes . "

"Correct . When a player invades with a gate, they are transported to, and limited to, that floor . They don't get to dive into the first floor and fight their way to the third . So, while they could invade the first floor, and completely wipe it out, the amount of essence they bring back, would be lower . "

"So, a risk reward system . " James knew his players . There were some who would play it safe and invade the first floor only . There were some, such as Z, who would probably try for the second or third floor . He just hoped their risky behavior wouldn't backfire, and net BLANK more essence . Because that, could be really bad .

"Exactly . " Rue took a breath, before continuing . "The other aspect of the daily invasions, is that when players invade, it is a completely random instance that they are put in . However, the moment that instance is invaded, the dungeon core, as well as players, will be alerted . "

"Meaning, the players who are able, will likely try to hop in and stop the invaders . "

"Oh . " That could be bad . James knew power gamers . He could totally see PvP players sitting near the dungeon instance, patiently waiting to be notified of an enemy invasion . The moment it happened; they would rush to join the instance with the invading force and hunt the players down . Of course, that would be great if it was James's players doing it . However, from what he read online; he was going to bet that would be a tactic more likely employed by BLANK's players . They didn't seem to enjoy the PVE aspects of BLANKs dungeon, because BLANK was terrible at caring about the players . "While the dungeon essence is created, players can choose to pick it up, and bring it to the avatar's shrine . " Oh, James was going to get a shrine . Neat . "After a certain point, the avatar comes to life . After that point, additional essence can awaken extra avatars, or unlock…special upgrades for the battle . Furthermore, once one side has collected enough essence, they can summon a portal to the enemy's core . " James was really liking where this was going . Of course, the need for his players to bring him to life was a bit upsetting . But he wasn't too worried . Also, had she mentioned additional avatars? What did that mean? James was eager to find out all of these things, and his anticipation, and excitement, had reached their peak .

It all made sense now . The build options unlocked for his probes to build via his Core Defense and Core Offense research, would be placed on the Fields of Battle .

There was something much more important than that now . At least, slightly important . Especially because he had already assigned some additional objects to be built, while he had been out of immersion, after his Core Cannon and Core Deflector Shield research had been completed .

"Shall we go make an avatar for you now?" Seriously, if the pixie was going to be able to join him on the battlefield as an avatar, it made so much more possible . It also made BLANK even more dangerous . He was certain the two of them would perfectly match each other . He was pretty sure one would be some sort of dps, while the other would be a tank healer . In his mind, through his MMO experience, a Paladin with a Ranger class would be perfect . Especially if the ranger was able to get a melee dps pet . As such, James was going to have to choose Rue's class around-
