Looking at the cooldowns on the available summons, James knew it was unlikely they would be able to wait for any new pieces to rejoin the board. At least, for now. A quick look at his in-game clock showed they had been in the fields of battle for just under 6 hours, meaning there were still 18 hours to go. On the plus side, that meant, if possible, Rue could still be summoned, for a final 30ish minute free for all. On the downside, that meant, well, they were down to just 1 Avatar for a little over 17 hours. And, if James went down between now and then, he wasn't going to be able to rejoin for day 3.

The same could be said of BLANK though. Judging by the respawn timers, other than second floor boss and miniboss, BLANK was going to be sans bosses for quite a bit of time. That was at least a blessing, following the massive clash on the battlefield, which James was still trying to determine all of the damages from. It seemed like in that battle, which was less than 2 hours of clashing, both sides had suffered heavy casualties. If he had to guess, at least a couple thousand players on both sides had fallen. Sure, it had been a large army versus army style battle, but in the forest, it had quickly devolved into small groups of mass combat.

Unfortunately, while that meant James's side had just gained a lot of essence, which he fully intended to take advantage of, so had BLANKs side. And that was bad, really bad. BLANK didn't care about their players. They didn't even expect their players to be all that useful. Instead, James knew the duo fully planned to utilize their overpowered mobs to win this conflict. All they needed their players for was to use the essence to summon the mobs. The dungeon and its creatures would do the rest.

James on the other hand, was putting a lot of faith into his players. Not only did he have a higher average level of players, from what he had seen, but his players were definitely a lot more diversified, unique, and just, all in all, better players in his mind. Mainly because they had grown having to adapt to a variety of changing mobs and scenarios. BLANK's players, on the other hand, had grown just by probably learning and using any and every cheese tactic they could against BLANK's mobs, in order to claw their way up the level tree.

The latter was definitely true, as James had seen players from BLANK's dungeon on their reddit thread discussing the 'easiest' places to farm experience in BLANKs dungeon. Easy of course being rather vague, as it seemed it was still a dangerous tactic. Mostly, players from BLANK's dungeon spent most of their time outside of the dungeon farming against the random animal mobs that the developers had put in the game, until they were nearly level 15. Given that experience gained against mobs was decreased for every level you had over them, that grind got a lot slower the closer they got to 15.

After 15, the players would hesitantly enter the dungeon, in larger sized parties, and would take on the slower moving mobs of the first floor with distance attacks and aoe slows. It was slow, grindy, and from the consensus James had seen on the forums, altogether rather unenjoyable for many players. James had actually been doubtful BLANK would be able to keep up at its growth rate, given the lack of fun its players were having. Dungeon Wars however, seemed to have changed that. Because of the lack of fun players had within BLANK's dungeon, the opportunity to invade other dungeons, and fight against things not from their own dungeon, reenergized BLANK's players.

James had a feeling that BLANK's player base would be the kind that reveled in dungeon wars, looking forward to every immersion not for the chance to run through their own growing dungeon, but for the opportunities to wage war against others, and to explore and ravage the dungeons they invaded. It was sick, twisted, and effective. All in all… it fit BLANK perfectly.

That being said, James was really hoping BLANK's players enjoyment in the dungeon war, especially right now on the Fields of Battle, could prove to work counter BLANK's plans. James didn't know what else players on BLANK's side could use their essence points for, whether it be things like his own Mech Factory, or what, but he wondered if the players would be completely willing to just use all their gained essence on summoning mobs for the Candied King and Queen.

Of course, the more James thought about that plan, the more he realized how foolish of a thought process that was. He was doubtful BLANK had given the players any other options to spend their essence on, other than to summon mobs, bosses, and the likes. BLANK had 0 faith in their players. They would force the players' hands and make them have to do what BLANK wanted. Bunch of arrogant spoiled control freaks.

"No use worrying about how shitty those two are." James mumbled to himself, as he looked his players up and down. Seriously, you wouldn't know that they had just been part of a crazy large battle of epic proportions. Because of the nature of the game, as they were healed, cleansed of their debuffs, etc, their amor, the clothes, everything had once again taken on its pristine, game like appearance. The only indicator of what had just occurred, other than, you know, the massive damage to the forest, was the look in the players' eyes. Many of them were visibly tired. James needed to change that.

"My dear brave adventurers." He started, looking them all over. Once they had returned to camp, following BLANK's attack, everyone had gathered around him, as if waiting for what he would say next. Many had pulled out the dark red bottles James recognized as Fireball whiskey, while others had started fires, preparing to cook whatever food they had while they recouped after the fight. Most amusing to James, was that upon their return, he had seen about 5 different fires already running, where a handful of players where working on cooking up countless dickens. A makeshift sign had been erected near the fires The Dicken Shack. It seemed the owners of that particular restaurant had opted to stay out of the fighting, and instead stay back to prepare meals for the players return. For a price, it seemed.

"We have managed to push back the vile Candied Royalty and their minions." James continued, trying to figure out how best to play this up. "While normally their colorful outfits, bizarre forms and armor, and pleasantly chaotic candied attacks would be welcomed by my chaotic nature." He paused, looking out over the players.

"The fact that they have not only trampled across all of you, but also felled my pixie's Avatar, the White Beast of Chaos, cannot go without punishment." Cheers went up around the players, some muffled as players tried to cheer past mouthfuls of dicken.

"I propose then that we return the favor. Let us show them what true chaos is like. Let us show them just how dangerous madness is." James was eyeing his summoner points as he spoke. He had finally just filled his points back up, showing him at a clear 25/25, considering Z's dicken had been slain during the Knight's fight against SoulDemon. A dicken in exchange for killing SoulDemon, SpinToWin, and CheapHealz was worth it. Sadly Crikey and BurningJazzHands had managed to escape.

James pointed towards the ground, and a circle began to glow. On his way back to camp, and idea had begun to grow within his mind. One that he couldn't help but feel would change the tide of the battle.

"Grab a drink, eat some dicken, and then, let us return the favor. Let us lay waste to the Candied King and Queen, and feast on their sweet remains." As those words left his mouth, James couldn't help but wince. Maybe that was a little too dark. However, the cheers that erupted from his players gave him hope. As he watched his summon appear before him, he couldn't help but grin. This, was going to be epic.
