Chapter 1141: Chapter 1144: Aidan Lucas is Lying (Extra 5) Chapter 1141: Chapter 1144: Aidan Lucas is Lying (Extra 5) “Uncle, have you found Tania Scott yet?”
Although Lily didn't like Tania Scott, she was thinking ahead.
She even began to worry that this was not just a scam, but a premeditated kidnapping.
If Tania Scott didn't return, she might be in danger.
“Found her.”
Fortunately, Larry Scott's response told her that Tania was safe.
“Don't worry, she is fine. Lily, Uncle needs to see Ethan Wilson. Is he around?”
Although Larry Scott appeared firm in front of Christopher Scott, he was also starting to doubt Ethan Wilson.
But he wasn't just trying to play both sides; he was worried about his niece, afraid she was being deceived.
If Ethan Wilson had indeed betrayed Lily…
“He's not here,” Lily didn't suspect that Larry Scott was testing her.
“He's on a business trip.”
“A business trip…”
Larry Scott's eyes cooled, how could it be such a coincidence?
“When did he leave?”
“Early this morning, he said there was something at the company and had to go abroad. He's probably still on the plane. If you need him, I'll have him call you back when he calls later.”
“Oh, no need, it's nothing important.” Larry Scott vaguely conversed with Lily a bit more before pretending nothing was wrong and hung up.
After ending the call, Larry Scott was still not at ease about Lily.
By this time, he didn't even have time to worry about whether Tania Scott had been deceived and might have compromised herself.
Larry Scott was all consumed with thoughts of Lily, even harboring some blame towards Tania Scott.
If Tania Scott indeed ruined Lily's marriage, he would certainly sever ties with her.
“No, I can't just ignore Ethan Wilson.”
The anxiousness faded from Larry Scott's eyes, and his dark pupils gradually firmed up.
With a few commands, Ethan Wilson's destination was found out.
A City!
Ethan Wilson had actually returned to A City!
Holding the latest track on Ethan Wilson, Larry Scott finally frowned.
If he was returning to A City, why lie to Lily saying he was going abroad?
The doubts mounted, further feeding Larry Scott's suspicion of Ethan Wilson.
He dispatched his men in A City, to strictly monitor Ethan Wilson round the clock, determined to uncover the purpose behind Ethan Wilson leaving Lily and going to A City.

In a lawyer's office in A City,
the renowned 'Undefeated Lawyer' Joshua Fenton, sat tremulously across from Ethan Wilson.
Mr. Lucas had a dark, foreboding expression, making Joshua Fenton too scared to even breathe heavily.
“Explain, I want to hear the most comprehensive explanation.” After a long while, Joshua Fenton heard Ethan Wilson's cold voice.
Joshua Fenton hastened his breathing, not daring to hesitate and promptly narrated the entire event.
“I followed your instructions, Mr. Lucas, and went to the Registrar's Office with the documents, wanted to settle everything in advance. But when I got there, the staff said… said that Young Lady had just rectified the marriage certificate last week.”
“I sensed something was off right away, and hurried to have someone pull up the footage from that day. Mr. Lucas, here… this part.”
Joshua Fenton turned his laptop towards Ethan Wilson for him to watch.
If Joshua Fenton didn't recognize Lily Gray himself, he wouldn't have been this panicked.
The woman appearing on the screen was indeed Lily Gray.
Joshua Fenton couldn't understand why the Young Lady would rectify the marriage certificate herself and yet not speak of it.
Fearing that he might offend the Young Lady, he wavered back and forth but finally decided last night to report the matter to Mr. Lucas.
And Mr. Lucas, having received the call last night, flew back to A City early this morning without informing the Young Lady.
[Author's Note] I have uploaded nine chapters today; I can't add too much at once, or else my eyes get too swollen. The two chapters missing from yesterday will be spread out over the next two days, and I will post one extra chapter both tomorrow and the day after.
