Chapter 1122: Chapter 1125: Uncle, Let's Make Up Chapter 1122: Chapter 1125: Uncle, Let's Make Up Watching her son dash into the school as if fleeing, Lily couldn't help but let out a laugh.
It turned out that her little Ben was just shy.
Seeing Ben like this, Lily felt a touch of emotion.
It was rather nice.
At least this way, Ben retained more of his childlike innocence and less worldly wisdom.
Her Ben was becoming increasingly childlike and naive, just like his peers.
The car left the Royal Academy and headed straight for the Military Villa Area in the East District.
Larry Scott was already waiting at the gate.
“Sebastian Lucas VII, it's fine to wait for me here.”
Ordinary people shouldn't enter the military area. Lily got out of the car and switched to Larry's vehicle.
As soon as she got in, Larry expressed his concern about Aidan Lucas's condition after he and Richard Coldwell had left.
“He and I are fine, we've talked it out. I've told him about my identity and the situation with Abbie and Lulu's eye colors,” she responded.
“That's good, that's good,” Larry replied, slightly furrowing his brow as if considering something.
After a while, he asked, “Have your Daddy and mother learned about it yet?”
“I… I haven't had the chance to tell them yet.”
No wonder she felt something was amiss; she had forgotten about this matter.
“I'll call Daddy and mother after visiting my great-grandfather,” Lily murmured, though she probably needed to call David Redington first.
She knew the Duke and Duchess held a poor opinion of Aidan Lucas. She had to have David speak well on her behalf.
Larry nodded, and finally said, “If you're worried your mother might make things difficult for Aidan Lucas, I can speak on your behalf.”
Sylvia did listen to her brother Larry quite a bit.
“I…” Lily initially wanted to decline Larry's kind offer, but thinking of her parents' view on Aidan Lucas, she held back her refusal.
She and Larry couldn't continue to be at odds forever.
Although Larry had indirectly wrecked her marriage to Aidan Lucas, his remorse over the years had been sufficient.
After all, it wasn't he who had acted against Grandma.
“Alright then, I'll still have to ask my uncle to speak well for me when the time comes.”
The word 'uncle' made Larry's stern and authoritative features suddenly stiffen.
He seemed a bit incredulous.
After a long pause, he finally turned his head to look at Lily with a dazed expression.
“What… what did you call me?” the middle-aged man asked, his voice hoarse.
And slightly excited.
“Uncle,” Lily answered.
“You…”
Lily didn't look up, her hands intertwined in her lap, her gaze fixed on her fingers.
She said, “There have been too many misunderstandings in the past. All these years, those grudges and misunderstandings have made us all unhappy. I think, it's about time for me to let go.”
“Uncle, let's reconcile.”
Larry was speechless for a long moment.
Only after a while did he manage to say hoarsely, “Lily, don't worry. Your uncle will take good care of you from now on, making up for everything.”
Lily wanted to shake her head and decline; she really didn't need any care or compensation.
She was doing well.
But before she could speak, the car stopped outside the Scott family mansion.
“Alright, here we are. Let's get out,” Larry said as he was about to open the car door, but suddenly paused.
He turned back to look at Lily, his dark pupils carrying a warning, “The situation in the Scott family is very complicated. Remember, besides your uncle, do not trust anyone here. Even when dealing with Mr. Scott, you must remain extremely vigilant.”
After saying this, Larry got out of the car.
Lily followed him out, pondering his words.
The most senior member of the Scott family was Mr. Scott.
Beneath Mr. Scott were the couple Mason Scott and Wendy Jenkins.
Beneath them were the siblings Larry Scott, Sylvia Scott, and Bella Scott.
Beyond these family members, Lily was not very clear about the rest of the household.
Setting aside others, Lily didn't have any negative impressions of Mr. Scott.
She remembered him as a very talkative great-grandfather, not a villain by his words, and he had even protected Larry and Sylvia as they grew up.
Lily didn't understand why Larry had said to be cautious even in dealing with this great-grandfather.
