Chapter 1058: Chapter 1061: Aidan Lucas Actually Hung Up on Her Call Chapter 1058: Chapter 1061: Aidan Lucas Actually Hung Up on Her Call After hanging up the phone, Lily immediately called Aidan Lucas.
To her surprise, Aidan Lucas's phone was switched off.
He kidnapped Abbie and Lulu, didn't contact her, and even turned off his phone voluntarily–what on earth was Aidan Lucas trying to do?
Lily's heart skipped a beat, and she dialed Benjamin Lucas IX.
She had to get in touch with Aidan Lucas.
Fortunately, Benjamin Lucas IX hadn't switched off his phone, and the call was answered.
“Who is this?”
When the call connected, the voice that came through the receiver wasn't the boisterous one of Benjamin Lucas IX, but instead Aidan Lucas's familiar yet indifferent tone.
“Ethan? You picked up Benjamin's call… That's great, it's me, I'm Lily.”
“Lily.” The man didn't seem surprised at all.
Lily heard his deep voice continuing.
“I remember you said you wanted to be alone to calm down for three days. I respect you and give you freedom. Now, one day has just passed since your needed alone time, and you still have two days to calmly think things over.”
“I…”
Before Lily could finish, she was interrupted by Aidan Lucas.
“Sorry, Lily, Benjamin's cell phone was here, and I just picked it up by chance. Didn't know it was you, I'm going to switch off now. Don't worry, I respect you; we'll get in touch in two days.”
After he spoke, the man maliciously hung up the phone and turned it off.
Lily was speechless, facing the now dead line on her cell phone.
–Aidan, Lucas.
This man, so petty, too petty!
What chance pickup. He was clearly, intentionally getting back at her!!!
Lily hung up the phone in a huff, knowing that the only thing to do now was to go directly to the Manor.
Since Aidan Lucas wouldn't answer the phone, she could only send another message to Richard Coldwell asking for the address of the manor.
Afterward, she stepped out of the study room.
Outside the study room, all was quiet.
Lily didn't know what method Larry Scott had used, but Mason Scott and the others were collectively silent and had disappeared without a trace.
When Lily came out, she saw Larry Scott hurrying over with a stack of snacks.
“You haven't had breakfast yet; have some snack to fill your stomach first.”
Larry Scott pulled her down to sit and passed the snacks over.
“I've just received a message on my side, both children are now at the Lucas family's mansion. Lily, does Aidan Lucas still not know the identities of Abbie and Lulu?”
When they couldn't get through to the study room phone, Larry's people had immediately contacted Larry Scott.
After Larry Scott confirmed the children were with Aidan Lucas, he breathed a sigh of relief.
It was then he thought of his niece, who hadn't even had breakfast, and immediately had someone bring over some easy-to-eat snacks.
“He doesn't know.” Lily had no appetite, but Larry insisted on her eating.
She couldn't refuse, so she just picked up a piece and fed it to her mouth, “I don't plan to tell him, please keep it a secret for me too.”
Hearing Lily's words, Larry's eyes dimmed.
Even though he didn't know why his niece wanted to conceal the twins' news, he knew that all this was actually caused by him.
If it weren't for his insistence on revenge and causing trouble, his niece and Aidan Lucas wouldn't have reached this point.
With this in mind, Larry softly said, “Is there still any misunderstanding between you and Aidan Lucas that hasn't been cleared up? If there's anything I can help with, I can…”
“No need.” Lily declined wearily.
After a whole night without sleep, she was tired too.
“The problems between him and me can't be explained in a few words.”
Most importantly, if the current Aidan Lucas was still the original Aidan Lucas, Larry's explanation might have been useful.
But the current Aidan Lucas was no longer the same man.
He was indeed a second personality.
