Chapter 1046: Chapter 1049 Visit the Scott Family Personally (4) Chapter 1046: Chapter 1049 Visit the Scott Family Personally (4) After a while, the sound of arguing from downstairs began to subside until it was gone.
Larry Scott prepared to close his eyes again.
There must have been some trouble downstairs, but it seemed to be over.
The defense in the East District was solid, so he was not worried.
But just as he was about to close his eyes and drift back to sleep, a violent noise suddenly came from downstairs.
The sound was like something, smashing against the heavy door of the Scott family, creating a loud bang.
Following that, another thunderous noise erupted.
Larry abruptly sat up in bed.
His sharp eyes narrowed in danger,
That last sound, if he wasn't mistaken, must have been the Amethyst at the entrance of the Scott residence falling onto the marble floor and shattering into pieces.
Countless possibilities and strategies swiftly passed through Larry's mind.
At this time, who would dare to forcefully enter the Scott residence?
He squinted his eyes, got up, and put on his clothes.
“Husband… what's happening?”
Isabella Martinez, sleeping hazily on the other side of the large bed, was also awoken by the loud noise.
“It's nothing, I'm going to check it out. You keep sleeping.” Larry finished dressing and went to the bedside to pull up the blanket for his sleeping wife.
His night vision was exceptionally good; even without turning on the light, it didn't affect his movements.
As the wife of a soldier, Isabella was used to such situations.
She tried to get up, but Larry pressed her back down, “I said it's nothing. Go to sleep.”
With just a slight chill in his voice, Isabella's attempt to get out of bed halted.
She was most afraid of Larry, had always been since childhood. Even after marrying him and becoming his wife, one word from him would frighten her back into bed.
Not daring to speak again–even though she could now hear the stirrings of other people in the house, and the noise downstairs seemed to be growing–Isabella didn't dare to move.
Larry didn't leave either.
Standing by the bed, he watched as his wife obediently closed her eyes in the darkness. As calm slowly returned, he then reached out to touch her sleeping face before turning and walking away.

Larry had just left the bedroom and hadn't even descended the stairs when he heard the voices of his father, Mason Scott, his stepmother Wendy Jenkins, and his eldest daughter Tania Scott coming from the entrance hall below.
“Just because you say you're looking for Larry doesn't mean you can come here–this is the Scott residence, not a place for just any Tom, Dick, or Harry! And who the hell do you think you are? Causing trouble at our home in the dead of night and still having the nerve to talk back!”
This was the voice of Larry's father, Mason Scott.
Larry's brows slightly furrowed; apparently, the person downstairs had come for him.
Yet, Mason's tone of annoyance was somewhat unexpected to him.
Actually, it was only because Mason was still on the second floor and hadn't seen the state of affairs at the first-floor doorway.
The Scott family originally had four guards at the door.
But now, two of them were lying on the ground, the other two sported injuries on their faces, but they managed to catch the woman who was causing a fuss.
Lily was currently being held by two guards, one on each arm.
The entrance to the Scott residence was in chaos, with smashed pieces of the Amethyst on the ground and a knocked-over shoe stool.
Uncle Mark had it worst, collapsing by the door with his back seemingly having hit it, his body hunched over on the ground, unable to even cry out in pain.
When Mason, Wendy, and Tania came down, the scene that greeted them was exactly like this.
The Amethyst had been specially auctioned by Tania from afar at a high price.
Seeing her beloved object smashed to pieces, she instantly got angry.
And Wendy, usually a temperate person,
saw her old servant Uncle Mark, whom she had brought from the Jenkins family, lying on the ground, barely clinging to life. Her eyes immediately reddened.
Despite being a woman past her fifties, Wendy took excellent care of her appearance, had a soft personality, and had never clashed with Mason, thereby being doted on by him.
Seeing his wife's eyes turn red, Mason could no longer restrain himself.
After just a brief inquiry, he pointed at Lily, restrained by the guards, and started shouting angrily.
[Author's Note] This segment was a bit challenging because once the Scott family gets involved, it's time to expand on the Ford family and Theodore Lucas. I'm going to continue writing the next part, and I'll check back later tonight.
