Chapter 1012: Chapter 1015: Lulu Was Scared to Tears (Extra 3) Chapter 1012: Chapter 1015: Lulu Was Scared to Tears (Extra 3) “Silly Lulu, what on earth do you have going on in your head all the time?” Abbie frowned, clearly unimpressed.
“Mother loves us the most, well… at least she loves me the most. Mother is ours, and she would never be angry with us. Don't worry, once we get to Eastonia, mother will be so happy she won't be able to speak. Mmm… I can't wait to see mother's face filled with surprise and joy, she will look so pretty!”
In Abraham Redington's eyes, his delicate and adorable mother was the best woman in the world.
And deep down, he always believed that mother was his own.
Even Silly Lulu couldn't snatch mother away from him.
“Hmm…” Lulu lowered her head, pouting her lips.
She really wanted to tell Abbie that she felt mother loved her the most.
But…
Lulu was timid and a bit afraid.
Especially with uncle Richard Coldwell sitting across from her with a cool expression and a dark face.
She didn't dare to talk back to Abbie; if Abbie also stopped caring for her, she would be all alone.
Little Lulu would be scared.
“What's wrong?”
As Lulu was pouting and worrying to herself,
a sudden low voice came from above her head.
The voice was indifferent and deep, belonging to uncle Richard Coldwell, the person Lulu feared the most.
Little Lulu looked up and met Richard Coldwell's deep blue eyes, and she was so frightened that she was speechless.
Only after a few seconds did she suddenly burst into tears with a “wah” sound.
“I… I… wah… wah…”
Tears streamed down Lulu's slightly chubby face, her beautiful peach blossom eyes shimmering as unstoppable tears rolled from her eye sockets.
Richard Coldwell paused for a moment.
He really didn't like children, finding them to be troublesome creatures, too delicate, and prone to making noise.
Just like Lulu at that moment, he had simply seen the little lad with her head down and lips puckered, seemingly upset.
Thinking she might be feeling uncomfortable, he had carelessly asked her a question, not knowing what was wrong with the child; she suddenly started to cry loudly.
“You… don't cry…,” Richard Coldwell said stiffly to Lulu.
He intended to console her, but sadly, his harsh voice sounded to Lulu like a stern command.
“Wah–” Lulu immediately cried even harder.
“You…” Richard Coldwell felt helpless for the first time.
Though he disliked children, Olivia Redington was so adorable, like a precious doll, that it was impossible to be even slightly harsh with her.
All he could do was turn to Abbie, who was sitting calmly on the side, and say, “Won't you get your sister to shut up!”
Abbie glanced at Lulu and said indifferently, “She'll stop when she's cried enough. Lulu is a little crybaby, no one but mother can make her stop.”
Abbie wasn't uncaring towards his sister, but years of experience had taught him to remain calm.
He had seen little Lulu cry a river countless times before.
No one but mother could soothe her.
Upon hearing Abbie's words, Richard Coldwell mistakenly thought that the boy was bullying the girl.
Recalling how the two children thought he didn't hear them whispering to each other before Lulu started to feel upset,
he became even more convinced of his assumption.
Poor little lad, she must have been bullied by her brother.
Rarely feeling pity, although unaccustomed to it, Richard Coldwell hardheartedly held the sobbing Lulu close to his chest.
Hugging the little boy to his chest, he awkwardly patted her back, trying to comfort her.
After a while, little Lulu finally cried herself out.
And so, she leaned on uncle Richard Coldwell's shoulder and gradually fell asleep.
